About Kaki P
At some point in our lives we would like to live here year-round, until then, we hope our guests enjoy Windridge as much as we do!
Kaki P purchased this House in 2005
Why Kaki P chose Loudoun County
It's so unique! How many log houses have you lived in? Each room has lots of spread out space -- not just one big room like old log cabins. It's so quiet outside and full of nature sounds at the same time. How many log houses are this close to towns and within walking distance to a winery, YET QUIET? Come see for yourself how unique this is!

Great house, great location
This property was terrific. It surpassed our expectations. Everything was spotless and the house is very well equipped. We were 5 adults traveling to a wedding in Leesburg. We were close to several towns and enjoyed coming back to our secluded house in Hamilton.
Thank you, Margaret. It was such a pleasure to have you stay at our gem, Windridge. We were glad to hear of your exploration of the area too; it's a gorgeous part of Virginia and hard to believe Windridge can be so quiet and yet so close to Leesburg or Hamilton.
You kindness and consideration of our home is greatly appreciated and we would be delighted to have you return.
Solitude and natural beauty. Great choice.
Our family wanted to visit local historic sites during the April school vacation. I found Winbridge after reviewing several other houses in the region. The house is in a secluded yet only minutes to town location. The house is spacious, clean and the owner is very accommodating. Whether you want to make day trips from the home or stay and enjoy the rural setting, you will not be disappointed. Kaki, thanks for having us and we will return again. Matt
Matt: You, your wife and boys were some of the most courteous and respectful of the families we have had at Windridge. I am so glad your boys enjoyed the log house atmosphere and that you all were able to use it as a 'hub' for excursions to nearby sites. There is much to do in the area, but as you hint to, it's challenging to leave the comforts right there, especially the screened porch. Please come again and we will offer you a 'returning guest' discount. Hope your summer has some relaxation in it!
I was in Leesburg for a school Principal's conference and my colleagues and I found Windridge to be exactly as advertised and more. We really enjoyed being off the beaten path. The property is very quiet and spacious with plenty of space to relax and enjoy the Va countryside. The drive to and from the property was tranquil and convenient. Daily walks/runs were thoroughly enjoyed and followed by some downtime on the wonderful porch. We all especially enjoyed the conveniences of the kitchen, making a full breakfast everyday before heading off to work was a real treat!
Thank you so much for your lovely comments about our gem, Windridge. We love sharing it with others, especially when they enjoy it just as we do!
If you have another conference in the area, I hope you will consider Windridge again and receive our returning guest discount.
Our family was just looking for a nice house to spend a couple of nights with our son who is through hiking the Appalachian Trail. Windridge was more than perfect. Well equipped kitchen that enabled us to cook up some great meals. Fabulous porch where we ate our meals and listened to tunes looking out over the woods. Space to gather together and also space to spread out. Kaki - thanks for responding to our quick requests. Many thanks.
So enjoyed having your family at Windridge! Leesburg is where guests usually are attracted, to its history and shops, but you found those lovely characteristics in Hamilton too, along with a couple of fun and different places to eat. We are glad your family liked the log 'cabin' and hope your son's travels along the remaining Appalachian Trail are safe and full of wonderful memories. Thank you again for your business and the "TLC" you showed our house; if you return, you would receive a returning guest discount.

Our Windridge is in the woods and although not far from towns, it does not have great internet options. Below is our policy that with payment for dates confirmed, constitutes guest(s) agreement.
Windridge's Internet Use Policy
After many onsite meetings with internet providers and searching for a way to provide internet service to the log house, we found the Verizon’s MiFi modem/router combination, to work best. The unit is located in the basement, immediately to the left, inside the storage area under the stairs, with directions attached.
The only drawback is a usage limit of 6GB per month. Therefore this service is NOT appropriate for internet gaming or large downloads/streaming such as video or audio files. However, this should be more than enough MB’s to check email, Facebook and for simple Google searches for local activities, restaurants, addresses, directions, etc.
The maximum amount of fair usage for each rental term is 200MB/day; that is the same amount wether there is one person or six! Guests who exceed their total allowance will be depriving other guests of their share of the monthly allowance and will be charged $.20/MB from their Good Care deposit. You can monitor your use at www.verizonwireless.com, sign in using the user name: 1loghouseva and password 1loghouse; next to “My Usage” click on “View Usage Details”. This is NOT a super fast internet service and should be turned off when not in use or at least nightly; also eliminating any mystery usage. (There is free internet at McDonald’s, Starbucks & Panera Bread, all in Leesburg.)
Please understand that the usual rules apply as for any public computer:
•This service is not to be used for any illegal purpose.
•We are not responsible for any harm that may come to your computer as a result of using
the service we provide to our guests.
•Service is not guaranteed.
•We are not technicians and cannot help you with your computer.
•The router must not be removed from its location (in the basement, immediately to the left, in a storage area under the stairs); the Good Care deposit will not be returned if it, the lock or it’s protective plastic box have been disturbed or tampered with. Please also be sure to NOT lock the door to the storage area under the stairs.
All references in the main contract to “items”, “property” or “equipment” include the router.
The receipt of guest payment (either through VRBO, Airbnb or direct) constitutes agreement of this policy for the duration of stay at Windridge.
Thank you for understanding our situation!
