Sweet cabin on 10-acre horse property and the Fremont River at West Entrance of Capitol Reef National Park. Very private. A great retreat or home base for your backcountry adventures. Come out and experience the area like a local. We would love to have you. The cabin is located in a beautiful valley but only 8 minutes from the town of Torrey. THe cabin has new updated furniture and granite and travertine in kitchen and bathroom

Cozy and comfortable
We had a lovely stay in the cabin. We arrived late but the lights and heat were on, which was really nice. The cabin was well stocked with everything we needed. We spent quite a bit of time hanging out in the cabin because it was a little cold outside and we found it comfortable and cozy. Thanks Cody!
Beautiful location for a small, cozy cabin
Overall we enjoyed our stay here. The cabin is small, but we were out exploring Capitol Reef most of the time and didn't need lots of space. The property is beautiful and a few miles down a dirt road outside of Torrey... it was great to be able to sit on the deck and look up at the starts at night with no light pollution. Amazing.
The bed in the bedroom is big and comfortable. The sofa bed, on the other hand, is not. When it's pulled out, it feels like you are sleeping on a slight slope with your feet a little elevated, and the support bars cut through pretty strongly digging into your back. After the first night I just put the mattress from the sofa bed on the floor and that was a big improvement, although annoying to do.
The kitchen had everything we needed and the fridge and stove worked well. We didn't use the heat, air conditioning, or TV, so can't really speak to those, but the internet worked well enough for us, which was important since cellular signal out there for us was very weak.
I felt like the cabin could have been a little cleaner when we got there... there were plenty of cobwebs with dead flies in a few of the corners, and it was a bit dusty. I don't expect it to be as clean as a nice hotel, being right on a dirt road, but just a little more cleaning before we got there would have made the overall impression better.
We also loved seeing the horses run around in such a beautiful setting. We would probably stay here again on a future visit. Overall it was just what we needed for the three of us.
Enjoyed the isolation but the overall experience was lacking
The cabin was well represented by the photo. Privacy was great. We were disappointed by the number of brown spiders and cobwebs. Very quiet setting but something in the hot water heater area was extremely loud at 3am. The view from the porch would have been nicer without a truck/horse trailer parked nearby.
Didn't meet Cody, but felt overall the experience was adequate and a good location for the first leg of our journey.
