A nice place to stay with family

Had a great stay here, excellent location with a nice deck looking over the river. Easy walk to restaurants, castle, and museum. Note that bed linens are only included for an extra fee.

Overall, a fantastic experience!

I was SO excited to find this place! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this listing. The home was comfortable, clean, cozy, and located in such a beautiful place. We loved the views from the patio. The town was within a very short walking distance with plenty of wonderful places to eat, a grocer and laundromat. Lots of outdoor activities as well. We were the only Americans there and enjoyed going where all the locals go.

Amazing stay, in a very nice village

Very nice home right on the river in La Roche. Extremely clean, great location, friendly hosts. Plenty of restaurants and entertainment right around the corner. Hiking trails are all around. It was the perfect base camp for a cycling holiday. Remember to bring your towels, and bedding. Other reviews mentioned road noise, but if you sleep in the bedroom along the river, there was no/minimal road noise.

The apartment is much more beautiful than we expected. We loved the balcony with this extraordinary view, the big and light bedrooms and the cosy living room. The kitchen had everything you need for a comfortable stay. The contact with the owner was always nice and fast. Many thanks!

Excellent townhouse in beautiful location

My VRBO stay was great. The 3-bedroom townhouse layout offered enough space for it small family, and the impeccable cleanliness heightened our comfort. Situated at the heart of La Roche-en-Ardenne right on the river, the central location made exploration a breeze--with hiking and other activities right outside the door. The kitchen was well-equipped with an array of cooking utensils and an ample supply of cups and plates. I highly recommend this VRBO for those seeking a cozy and conveniently situated stay in the beautiful town of La Roche-en-Ardenne. Note - we stayed without a car and found no problem arriving via the TEC bus.

Love this place!

My husband and I spent five days here and loved every minute. This spotless house was very well equipped, with everything we needed in the kitchen, a comfortable Queen size bed, plenty of space, and best of all a beautiful view alongside the river. Wifi worked everywhere. The cafes, restaurants, and shops were within easy walking distance. Our host left clear instructions regarding TV, trash/recycling, parking, and what to do upon departure, and she promptly answered our emails. We appreciated the coded access. If you are coming to La Roche, this is the place to be! We will be back!

Lovely House in the Ardennes

My husband and I stayed in La Petite Maison for a week in late April 2017. It was all as described and photographed on the listing except that it was much larger than we expected. The rooms were very attractive and well equipped. The furnishings were modern and comfortable throughout. The kitchen was supplied with all necessary tools, dishes, etc. The location is wonderful -- on the river in La Roche and a 2 minute walk to all the shops, restaurants and sights of the town. The balcony and views of the river are beautiful. While there is no parking with the unit, we were always able to park just past the house along the road. We highly recommend this property-- unless you have difficulty with stairs. The main bathroom with tub/shower and 2 bedrooms are up one rather steep flight.

August 2019, family holiday in La Roche en Ardennes

A very comfortable property, well located right next to the river & amongst the lovely village of La Roche. Great views from the lounge window. The house suited our family's needs, the kitchen very well equipped including a store cupboard of cooking essentials which although we rarely used was very helpful & a lovely homely touch. Lots of good quality cooking equipment, crockery, cutlery & glasswear. Some extra mugs would have been useful. Our only negative about the house was the traffic noise from the main street, which would have been helped by double glazing on the front of the property. We swapped rooms through the week so that everyone got a lie in. The information centre in town was very helpful, but we would have liked to browse through a personalised brochure in the property, containing maps, local events, attractions & information about recycling & garbage collections. This information helps a great deal when arriving at the property, to help us settle in & feel oriented. La Roche was set amongst beautiful countryside, with lots of walking straight from the front door. The village had lots to offer making our week in The Ardennes very special, including a Kayak trip, a walk to the local wildlife park, a circular walk through the countryside & a very well stocked local spa. Including some nice relaxing local bars & restaurants. We were entertained by the evening show at Chateau La Roche.

Ein mit viel Liebe eingerichtetes Haus, mit allem was man braucht. Wir fanden die Betten sehr bequem und alles war super sauber. Sehr zentral gelegen, aber trotzdem sehr ruhig. Die direkte Nähe zur Ourthe und die schöne Terrasse sind ein Highlight der Unterkunft. Fußläufig sind Restaurants und Geschäfte innerhalb weniger Minuten erreichbar. Wanderungen mit traumhaftem Panoramablick sind ebenso von der Unterkunft aus zu starten, wie auch eine Burgbesichtigung. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen und konnten absolut entspannt die Heimreise antreten

Ein schnuckeliges Haus mit ausreichend Platz und schöner Terrasse zum Fluss. Gute Ausstattung, alles außer Waschmaschine vorhanden. Wir hatten die Handtücher vergessen, konnten aber vor Ort welche dazubuchen. Wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt.

La Roche en Ardenne 8 9 10 mai

Cours séjour, météo idéale, gîte parfait, relation avec les propriétaires parfaite, La Roche est une très jolie ville traversée par la belle Ourthe est emplie d'histoire, les glaces du glacier au pied du château sont délicieuses, Bastogne et son musée mémorial impressionnant est à proximité. Nous comptons bien y revenir au printemps prochain.
