Very quiet and quaint cabin. The host was excellent and very responsive. The neighborhood is a little run down, but we had no issues with it and I wouldn't expect any based on the area. I would definitely stay again.

Property was nice weather didn’t cooperate and neighbor was super creepy
Didn’t make our reservation as my husband wasn’t feeling well enough to travel, but we were able to schedule another trip later this fall. We are looking forward to it.

Little disappointed
The view and the listing didnt not match when arrive. Much more crowded and no grass to play in for our young boys. 2 of our 3 nights our view was not the lake but was tents and cars.
The inside of the cabin was as showed and worked out great! Clean and plenty of space for my young family.
If it would have been as shown on the outside I would have done 5 stars!
Although bath towels were provided, no washcloths or bathroom hand towels. We understood there was a propane grill. There was not, but there was a charcoal one. Loved the screened in porch!!
We loved the family feel of the resort. It was quiet and pleasant. Nice trails to walk on nearby as well as fishing. Check in was simple and cabin was ready even though we arrived early. Recommended highly .

Thank you for being our guests.
Bayside Cabins and Resort.
Our family had a good time exploring around, Troy was friendly and helpful. This cabin is cozy, will be a good fit for a couple. We had two small kids with and it was a tight fit for us.
Quiet friendly resort. Screen porch plus internet and tv a huge plus. Electric door entry help. 😊👌
The owners went out of their way to be helpful. Plenty of room for boat and trailer right next to cabin with easy access. Mkitchen equipment clean and good quality. We would definitely consider another trip.
Beautiful lake and the sunsets were unbelievable. Cabin was clean and cozy with a fully stocked kitchen. Boat ramp and dock is awesome if you bring a boat. Lots of stuff for the kids to do that are all provided free. (Kayaks, volleyball net, basketball, etc) Out only complaint is that it in no way would hold 6 as advertised. We had 2 adults and two kids and it was very cramped. Kids slept on a fold out 3/4 size futon and complained all weekend about it. In one of the bigger cabins the location would be better, but more expensive also.

Very peaceful and also family oriented
A nice, quiet place with lake view. Great green space for kids or activities. Lots of possibilities for family gatherings or fishermen. Had to contact the owner and he was super nice, gracious and quick to respond.

Nice place to hang out by a lake
We spent our first night in the White Pine cabin which was a bit small for us. I accidentally got the TV off of the right setting and had to contact Troy for help. When he called and helped me fix that he asked how everything was and I mentioned that we wished we had booked one of the larger cabins. After a few minutes checking he found that the larger Balsam cabin was available and offered to change us to that cabin for our remaining four nights for the extra cost that cabin would be. That was fine with us.
It was just a short walk to move to the new cabin. We were happy to have paid the extra for more room in the cabin. Plus Balsam cabin offered a better lake view.
We had brought along a canoe and either my wife and I paddled together or I took it out by myself. There was a nice spot by the fish cleaning and freezer house and resort's dock to leave the canoe when we were not using it.
We also did some walking. Some times we traveled up or down the nice wide hard surface Paul Bunyon trail which was only a couple of blocks away. Other days we drove south and then west about 5 miles on Hwy 87 to a state forest road and walked on that road up through the woods.
We made a short and aborted attempt at the Bull Moose trail. I had viewed it on Google satellite maps and thought if we drove in a short distance there was parking. Instead we almost got stuck in a nice sand trap.
A big plus was the almost complete absence of mosquitoes. I had picked these cabins because that each had screened in porches, but we didn't need them at all. The only mosquitoes we had at all were just a couple on the forest road and a quick spray with Deet sent them away.
On Thursday and Friday the city had a crew grinding down the edges of the streets in preparation for a new layer of asphalt. It must have jiggled the ground enough that we had a couple of spells of brown water after they had passed by, but that quickly flushed out of the water lines.
