The house was perfect, and exactly as described. Location was great: there is a grocery store one block away and Forsyth Park is two blocks away. The owner was friendly and welcoming. It might be our most favorite rental we’ve ever stayed in! We were sad to leave Savannah.
Our stay was perfect! Home was very clean, owner is very attentive and accessible. The location was excellent, within walking distance to everything you want to do! Will definitely stay again!
The Mimosa House was wonderful, had everything we needed. Close to Forsythe Park and about a mile walk to stores and restaurants. Owners were so great! Would love to stay there again!
The Mimosa House was a perfect oasis in historic Savannah. We had clear communication with the host, and the welcome packet binder gave us everything that we needed from recommendations for local food to great ways to spend our time. Clean, great layout, and terrific amenities (laundry!). I only wish that I had more time, because I would have enjoyed staying there even longer. Very grateful to have the space and would love to rent again in the future!
This townhouse is perfect for its location. A block from Forsythe park, next to a Kroger, and close to so many other things. Hosts are on site and veey friendly. Would recommend.
The house location was great for walking to the historic district. We had 2 couples & 3 dogs & all went well. We all work in a resort setting and noticed a few things that could use a little help. The most obvious was the shower curtain liner. Definitely need a replacement. But overall, we had a good visit!

Thank you for this feedback! We have since changed housekeepers and new liners were added right after this was brought to our attention. We are glad you enjoyed your stay!
Amazing stay. Building had all the charm of old Savannah, even the creaky stair case fit right into the 100 + year old architecture. Clean but not fussy. Big kitchen for meals. Owners were easy to get a hold off and are very nice. Short walk to Forsyth’s park - one of best parks in Savannah. Centrally located close to all the happenings in Savannah, In a beautiful neighborhood. Only down side bedroom door and bathroom door don’t shut all the way, but overall I would highly recommended to family and friends if they visit Savannah.
We were looking for a dog-friendly home to connect w/family & friends. Our guests traveled from Atlanta, DC, and Tampa. For most of us, it was our first visit to Savannah. Will definitely not be our last! The kitchen was well-equipped for entertaining guests. Having a grocery store on the next block was so convenient. Forsyth Park was a highlight for us. Lovely place to walk. People are very friendly. Hotels near the river would have been too busy for us & the beach at Tybee Island doesn't allow dogs. The historic district was a beautiful place to stay. The owners of this property are the best next door neighbors you will find!
Great property in a gorgeous location close to everything you want to do in Savannah. Homeowners are very helpful and close by to help with whatever you might need.
I cannot stress enough how AMAZING these property managers are. We arrived at the house on a Saturday and went out to site see in Savannah. When we came back that night we noticed a strong gas smell in the house and called the owners. They immediately came over and called the gas company. We ended up having to leave the house due to the gas. The owners moved us two houses down to a VERY NICE house and made sure we all were comfortable and safe. They were so helpful and nice. They are the best! I would definitely recommend them to everyone!
Perfect historic district home for weekend getaway
My group of seven had a great time! The downstairs was big enough for everyone to hang out without feeling crowded, and we loved all the beautiful art on the walls and throughout the home.
The location was perfect, very close to Forsyth park and only a couple minute walk to the free shuttle that goes around the historic district. The owners were also very gracious to let us check in early. I would absolutely stay here again!
Property is close to everything including a Kroger’s just a couple of minutes within walking distance. Plenty of room. Upstairs bedrooms don’t cool as well as we liked but the provided box fans was helpful and much appreciated!
Accommodations were very nice. Secured back yard was great for kids and pets. Furnishings were interesting and kitchen had everything we needed. Master bedroom did need a TV. Floors did need a deep cleaning and stair banister was a bit shaky. But overall a good experience.

Close to all
Loved the house, especially the opportunity to have our dog visit Savannah with us. The grocery store and Forsyth park were only minutes away walking distance. Clean place, plenty of space for 5 adults and a large puppy. Would love to stay again!

Fantastic Rental Property
My family traveled from Tampa for a Wedding for News Years Eve. The Rental was clean, comfortable and spacious for our 8 family members. The park was 2 blocks away along with picking up the DOT FREE Shuttle which was convenient to take us near the riverfront. Also just around the corner was Kroger grocery store. They also had a Starbucks inside. The owners live next door which the back balcony is shared going into the back yard. They are the nicest/sweetest people. They always asked how are day was and giving advise to help our stay even more special. This is what I call a hidden gem. Thank you Jerome and Christen

About the host

My husband and I both moved to Savannah to attend the Savannah College of Art and Design - and as you can imagine, we fell in love with Savannah and never left! My husband is an artist and I founded and run an educational non-profit.
Why they chose this property
Savannah is a destination, and when you live in a destination, family and friends visit often! After years of accommodating our friends and family, it was at their recommendation that we looked into purchasing a vacation rental. We selected the Mimosa House because we loved the area - close to everything! a beautiful block, large yard and deck overlooking garden for our four-legged visitors or to enjoy the beautiful weather! A cozy place to call home on your next vacation.
What makes this property unique
Our most unique feature of the home is the art collection! Most of which we traded with the artists themselves and some of my husband's original pieces as well. Additionally, the large deck overlooking the garden is an excellent way to enjoy our Savannah weather year round! Staying in a historic building also captures Savannah's unique Southern charm!
