Located on a private beach, Cayman Stead also has a new fresh water, outdoor pool. If you are a scuba diver, the famous North Wall (world renowned as one the best barrier reef/dive sites in the world) is just 300 yards off the beach or snorkeling is a few swim strokes away. This is a quieter, more relaxed atmosphere than Seven Mile Beach with restaurants, beach bars and groceries located nearby. Rum Point club, Red Sail Sports (assorted water sport activities) and Cayman Kai are just up the road. You may choose to go to the amazing Sting Ray City, where you can watch, swim with and hand feed up to 60+ stingrays, and only a ten minute boat ride away. You may also go to Seven Mile Beach where you can duty free shop, play golf, enjoy 5-star restaurants or wander around the West Side of the island. Other things to do include sailing, deep sea fishing, wind surfing, parasailing, swimming, going to sting ray city, kayaking, night kayaking, duty-free shopping (great jewelry deals!), getting married, walking on the beach, boating, fishing, dancing, playing pool, bar hopping, Island visiting and relaxing, visiting the turtle farm, hiking the Mastic Trail or visiting the botanical gardens,

For a quieter day, you may choose to walk, bike or drive up and down the road and view the numerous, breathtaking seaside mansion of Rum Point and Cayman Kai. North Side is also home to the scenic Botanic Park which consists of a .8 mile nature trail where you can view local plants and trees that are marked and identified. The park is also home to the Blue Iguana captive breeding program.

One might also choose to see over 60 species of exotic birds, Cayman Parrots, Blue Iguanas, Agoutis, Whistling Ducks, Emus, Miniature Ponies and various Turtles at the Cardinal D's Park which is closer to George Town. A trip to Cayman would not be the same without a stop at Cayman's oldest settlement on the island-the East End. A 15 minute drive from North Pointe to the district of East End will allow you to get great photographs of the Blow Holes and to visit the sites of several ship wrecks. There are numerous things to do, you choose -- this is what Cayman Island is all about!!

About Jackie nabat

Hi Let me tell you some of the history about my place!

Hurricane Ivan destroyed my condo on September 11, 2004. On January 22, 2005, I went back to Cayman to pick up the pieces of what was left of my condo. After extensively renovating my place, I made sure to offer my guests a comfortable serene place in which to stay. Please remember to sign our memory book and let us know about your stay!

Jackie nabat purchased this condo in 2006

Why Jackie nabat chose North Side

I love diving and when I visited Cayman, the diving was great. I recently visited this August and can tell you that the diving was fabulous! Since Ivan and also the El Nino days, I was concerned. The diving was better than ever! I was in love all over again!

What makes this condo unique

Locally Managed by a Caymanian. Fresh flowers in the condo upon arrival; Amazing views of the Ocean; Snorkling and Scuba information available. Private boat rental available. Car rental referral service available. Have your groceries picked up ahead of time!

Guestbook comments from the owner

We just returned from spending a week at Cayman Stead. Jackie was very prompt to address all my questions prior to our departure, and she provided great information on the area on the confirmation e-mail. The condo had all the conveniences from home. The kitchen was well equipped, and we used it often as eating out was expensive so we only did it several evenings. The boys enjoyed the pool, and my husband snorkeled out back each day. He swam and took pics of a shark, a stingray, a family of spiny lobster, conch, and various fish. Figaro the cat and his black and white buddy got treats and lots of love from us. Wifi was spotty, but Jackie had warned us about that on the e-mail. When we return to Grand Cayman, we will come back to Cayman Stead. NOTE: The condo is on the second floor so that may be something to consider for people with issues with stairs.

Rakes & Sams Family Vacation 2017

  • 5 of 5

We had a fantastic time at Caymanstead! The location was perfect for snorkeling near the reef everyday! We loved Rum Point and the pool was so relaxing at the condos. Chisholm grocery store was conveniently located down the road for restocking some small amounts of groceries during our stay. The condo was very quiet and very relaxing and the ocean view was amazing! Caymanstead exceeded everyone's expectations and we had a wonderful experience spending time with my family. Jackie was super helpful by being available to answer our questions and provided great information about the area. We hope to return to Caymanstead someday! We had an amazing experience! Thank you Jackie and Barbara!

View is amazing! Our family enjoyed the outside space most of all.

  • 4 of 5

Our family thoroughly enjoyed Spring Break 2018 at North Pointe Condos/Cayman Stead. The view from the second floor lanai is amazing and our family enjoyed each other’s company with a cup of coffee every morning overlooking the awesome ocean view! Both king beds were comfortable. The pull out sofa bed, well, it’s a sofa bed. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to cook our own meals as we desired. All we had to do was add the groceries! The ice maker was even able to keep up with our demand! The stairs could be a bit challenging for anyone with physical limitations, but our group didn’t have any problems. The air conditioner worked well when we used it. We only ran it at night. During the day we were able to enjoy Caribbean breezes by opening the windows and the three sliding glass doors which opened to the lanai. We enjoyed the cat that lives on the grounds. He/she was so friendly and yet not bothersome in any way. It was also helpful having two full baths, one connected to each bedroom, and the washer and dryer came in useful too. Although Cayman Stead could use some updating/de cluttering, those things certainly didn’t hinder our vacation. Staff was easy to work with and resolved any issues we had. I would recommend North Pointe Condos/Cayman Stead to anyone looking for a getaway which could be as quiet and relaxing or as adventurous as you make it. Our family enjoyed some of each and can’t wait to come back! It truly is a beautiful island with welcoming residents. And be sure to snorkel while you’re there. Our family enjoyed hours of snorkeling right at North Pointe or early in the morning at Rum Point just up the road a little over two miles before the crowds arrive. Several good restaurants within a 30 minute drive from the far north side too. We definitely didn’t go hungry. My suggestion would be to stock up on the majority of your grocery needs while in or near Georgetown but Chisholm’s grocery store just a couple of miles before you get to North Pointe has a surprisingly good selection of necessities. And don’t miss the small local shops scattered throughout the island. Sometimes the best treasures are found unexpectedly! Thank you once again for the opportunity to thoroughly enjoy Grand Cayman. Until next time...💜☀️🐚🐠🍽🍷🍹😻👍🏼👍🏼🕶👙🦎🐙🦐🦑🐡🦀🐓

A nice stay

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed our stay at Cayman Stead. It provided a good home base for our island adventures. When the coffee pot stopped working and then when we had some issues with getting hot water to both bathrooms the issues were addressed quickly and completely. Having a pool and an ocean view was so great for days we did not feel like tackling the long drives to other parts of the Island.

While the condo could use some updating of furniture and decor that are a little weathered by the Caribbean climate it was a comfortable and enjoyable place to stay. The only cons have nothing to do with Cayman Stead. If you don’t like driving it can seem very far from the action of the other side of the island where it can be less windy and the beaches more sandy and the snorkeling a little easier.

But, if you like a quiet spot where there is always a breeze, this is your place.

Great family stay at Cayman Stead

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed 10 days of a very relaxing family vacation in Jackie's condo. It was big enough for our group of 6 (grandparents, parents and kids), well equipped with all you can need for your stay and mostly, conveniently located on the north side of island, which seemed to me really Carribean. The nearby beach which is just steps from the condo might be a bit rough at times, but the close Rum Point offers great access to blue water, coral reef, sports and good food. About 5 minutes ride from the place is a small convenience store which is opened also on Sundays, again, very useful if you arrive during the weekend. If you want to buy fresh fish, I recommend to buy from the local fishermen opposite Over the Edge restaurant - cheap and tasty. I recommend this place to anyone seeking a true Cayman holiday and thanks again Jackie for all your kind advices. Best from Europe- Lukas & family

Christmas in the Islands

  • 4 of 5

What a beautiful time we had with friends and our two daughters. The location of this condo was great for North Shore and East End Activties. A little far to drive and fight traffic in Georgetown. The size was perfect for us. Not to impressed with the beach. It had a lot of sea grass and loaded with garbage. Never did get in the ocean at the condo, But we did enjoy the pool. Cayman in Beautiful but very expensive for just about everything. All said we had a wonderful time.

Owner's Response: Hi Danette, thank you for your feedback. The beach is cleaned on a weekly basis. Unfortunately, there is no way to control the sea grass that comes in. Sometimes it's there and other times it is not at all. As for the garage, it does get washed up on the beach and I know the owners at North Pointe do collect the garage from the beach when they are visiting their condos. Overall, I am glad you enjoyed yourself. Jackie

Great location off the beaten path!

  • 5 of 5

Let me first say that this rental is not near 7 Mile Beach but we personally didn't want to be on a busy beach. After long days of hitting tourist spots and the cruiser destinations, it's nice to come back to peace and quiet as well as an outstanding view. The fact that it has a pool is truly icing on the cake and yes, that view is what you see from the pool. The beach is walk-able, can certainly be swim-able, but it's not the sandy beach designed for wading out and looking at your toes. Again, there's places literally 2 minutes up the road at Rum Point to do that so it never crossed our minds.

7 mile takes about 40 minutes to get to but it's not difficult. There's a grocery store close to get necessities but the bigger ones are more towards town. Great restaurants near and you must go to Kurt's Korner. Cheap awesome local food, probably went there 3 times as well as the taco food truck. Can't miss it on your drive. Not really any negatives but it is about time for a furniture update. Such is life on the beach that causes wear on the couches and seats. Front door lock can be quite tricky as well, but overall outstanding place with a great owner to work with during the process. Would certainly go back!!

PS- Mosquitos are literally waiting for you when the sun sets, this s no joke. We travel to islands a lot and most of the time these are empty threats. It's the real deal here! Bring spray!!!
