We spent the week fishing and R+R We could not have asked for a nicer place. We caught fish off the dock and in our boats. One of our friends uses a walker and was able to get in the cabin easily and to the nice seat at the end of the dock. Overall a really nice place.
This was, by far, the best cabin that we have rented. The cabin was immaculate, beds comfortable, kitchen was well stocked and plenty large to accommodate 6 adults and two children. We caught keeper fish right off the dock. The only drawback is that if you like to trailer your boat to other lakes, which I do, parking the boat trailer and truck when returning is kind of a hassle. Again, very minor compared to all the other great things about the place! We are lining up next years dates and booking again! Thank you Lori for opening your cabin to us!
Enjoyed our stay at Glaser’s lake home. Beautiful view of lake, home was clean with all of the amenities of your own home. Lori was a pleasure to communicate with and very helpful. Will definitely be staying again.
This is the second year we stayed at this property. The house was clean and had everything we needed. There are several homes nearby, but the area is very quiet. It was easy communicating with the owner and getting our questions answered. The house easily accommodated our group of 5 adults, two children and two dogs. We enjoyed swimming, fishing, and watching the Eagles. It was a fun and relaxing week.
Nice location on the lake, beautiful sunrises. No a/c so was a bit warm. Owner was extremely helpful, accommodating with great suggestions for boat rentals.

Gorgeous spacious cabin. Huge living room with beautiful fireplace and amazing lake views. Cooks kitchen with great layout and well stocked with any cookware you can need. All 3 bedrooms are a great size, with plenty of storage. Fantastic cabin and an added bonus is the cabin is located on one of the best fishing spots on the entire lake.
We stayed at this property for 2 weeks and had a great trip. The cabin was the perfect size for our family. It was clean and had everything we needed. The kids were catching fish off the pier right away. We would definitely stay here again.
We thoroughly enjoyed our week at this property. The house is located in a beautiful lakeside setting. It was comfortable and adequate for our family group of 4 adults and 2 children. There are other houses very close by, but that was not a problem for us. We really enjoyed fishing from the pier and swimming in the lake. We will definitely consider staying here in the future.

Thanks Nancy and Fred. Hope to hear from you next year.
6 Adults, 1 child and a dog had an amazing week here, plenty of room for all. The location was perfect, the lake views from inside and outside were awesome. The fishing was great even right from the pier. The shaded yard was nice with the heat we had and the breeze off the lake was welcome. Lots of places in the area to rent a boat. Would recommend to anyone.
There is so much to say. I will start with it is usually very difficult to find a cabin to rent that is handicap accessible for my grandmother. The Glaser cabin was the most handicap accessible rental property we have ever used. The views were breath taking, from humming birds and bald eagles to the sunrises. Fishing is a lifestyle with my family and the lake did not disappoint. We caught blue gill, rock bass, and musky right from the dock. The cabin itself was decorated in such a way as to truly shift your mindset to that northwoods get away feeling. The check in process was incredibly easy. We initially had difficulty finding the cabin on google maps and our hostess very quickly helped us figure it out. We were a group of 6 adults, 1 teenager, and 2 dogs. The sleeping arrangements were comfortable and spacious. I highly reccomend this cabin to anyone with physical difficulties, families, and literally anyone looking for a true northwoods retreat! We will definitely rent again in the future!

We loved this cabin and would definitely rent again. The location on the lake was great. We caught lots of fish. We also loved the location to town. Just a few minutes from a lot of great food. We brought our dog and she had a great time!

Thanks so much for your review. We strive to make our home comfortable for our renters and hope to hear from you again. Reservations start coming in after the first of the year. I like to rent Saturday to Saturday during the peak season which is May, June, July and August. Check out our website at: www.glasersnorthwoodshome.com or you may reach us by phone.
The place is great. The unit is very nicely equipped. Only complaint is that you have to bring your own towels and unit has a coin operated washer and dryer. I could not believe that. LOL. No Internet.
I would rent again. House is well decorated and has everything you need. The location and the Lake are great.

About the host
Hosted by Lori Glaser
My husband and I vacationed in this area and decided in 1990 to buy our cabin. Our family has enjoyed the area and our lake over the years and hope to continue to enjoy our cabin. Our grandchildren love the north woods and all it has to offer. We have another off water home that sits on 2 1/2 acres that is only 1 1/2 miles from our lake cabin that we sometimes use for overflow. It is very secluded and close to the boat landing.
Why they chose this property
Lac Vieux Desert is a beautiful 4200 acre lake with excellent fishing, skiing, snowmobiling, jet skiing, ATV trails, etc. It is a Michigan/Wisconsin boundry lake so you would need a Wisconsin or Michigan license to fish this lake but not both. Our home sits 75 feet from the water with level frontage.
What makes this property unique
Our cabin is close to churches, casinos, golf courses, many craft shows and farmers markets, Bond Falls, many nice restuarants, movie theater, candy shops, pizza joints, walking and biking trails, close to minnow bucket for your bait, pontoon rental, boat motor rentals, horseback riding, go carting, bumper boats, zip lining, mini golf, speedway racing, etc.
