Large kitchen is attractively fitted with granite work tops and top of the range chrome appliances. Excellent choice of equipment & utensils.

3 Bedrooms are bright and cheerful: 1 x king size with large en-suite bath and shower; 2 x large twins. 2 bedrooms lead onto the pool, terrace and garden. Bedroom 3 overlooks fruit trees.

Outdoors there's everything you need to relax Cyprus style. Stunning views surround the inviting 8m by 4m private pool enclosed by a pretty garden and terrace. Getting about.......Car hire is not absolutely essential but is very highly recommended for guests staying at The Olive House if you are to get the very best from your holiday. A regular motor car is perfectly adequate for getting from the airport and tripping around the local area but if you want to explore the Akamas by car and visit the excellent off the road beaches this region has to offer then you will require a 4-wheel drive vehicle. You will also need a 4-wheel drive if you plan to visit the mountain villages or go skiing in The Troodos. A local bus services runs between Latchi/ & Polis and a regular bus to Paphos operates from Polis. Taxis are also readily available.

Noisy dusty roadworks spoiled the experience

We were bitterly disappointed to find the villa was surrounded by roadworks. Hydraulic drills woke us at 7.30 each morning and the dust and noise made lazy days by the pool impossible. The villa seemed in need of an upgrade. We paid for airconditioning in the living space but only one of the units worked and August was very hot in Cyprus. The fly screens in the bedroom had holes and the French doors to the balcony didn't have any fly screens. Doors were difficult to open, the settees and beds were uncomfortable; the villa was not at all as we expected. The website photos are much better than the reality. We love Cyprus, but this time we weren't sad to be going home.

We cannot recommend Olive House highly enough

We loved Olive House for so many reasons:

The view from the balcony was amazing, both in the morning as we sat and had breakfast watching the boats on the sea and in the evening with a chilled glass of wine looking at the lights along the bay. It was so peaceful and private. We never tired of it and will remember it fondly.

The pool was wonderful, warm and clean, and we used it every day. It had just enough shade at either end of the day for us not to worry about the kids getting too much sun.

The villa was clean, spacious and had all the facilities we needed, especially the BBQ.

There were great restaurants within walking distance when we didn't want to get the car out and plenty of choice for others just a short drive away in Latchi and Polis.

We felt extremely well looked after by Andrea and her family who welcomed us, gave us so many good recommendations and were always on hand to help in any way they could.

All in all we wouldn't hesitate to recommend Olive House to anybody and would love to return one day.

Beautiful Villa

Villa Olive is a well appointed villa, spotlessly clean and in the most beautiful position, the views from the balcony are breathtaking!

We stayed in March and although unable to use the pool as still chilly we were able to relax In the garden in glorious sunshine.

Neo Chorio is a lovely little village and Smiyies Tavern is minutes walk away for a great meal.

This is a fabulous property fitted out to a high standard. The view across the bay is stunning! The welcome pack was great for a late arrival and loads of useful information from Andrea the next morning once we had settled in and had a good nights sleep. Already booked to return and looking forward to Symyers restaurant and the village shop, lots of fond memories! Would definitely recommend this villa.

Fabulous villa in a beautiful traditional village

From the minute we booked this property we had a good feeling about it and we certainly weren't disappointed. Jacqui the owner was extremely helpful during the booking process. Upon arrival (early hours of the morning), it was so lovely to have a welcome pack of food supplies including the beautiful lemon cake! Andrea who looks after the villa arrived the next morning and she too was really friendly and helpful. The villa itself was lovely - spacious, clean and tastefully done up. Our favourite activity was hiring a speedboat from George's Watersports in Latchi - so much so we did it twice!! Our holiday was finished off perfectly by us being able to have a late check out. I would definitely recommend this property - you won't be disappointed!!

A little about us and and why we chose to buy The Olive House in Neo Chorio (near Polis & Latchi), Cyprus, 14 years ago....

In keeping with the romantic legend of the island, and in particular this area, we fell in love with this unique part of the world when we married locally. Following a wonderful ceremony at the Town Hall in Polis, and a magical blessing at a chapel in Latchi, we set about finding our own special haven in this romantic and stunning location. We found our haven in Neo Chorio, above the hillside overlooking Latchi and the bay of Polis, in southern Cyprus and it is with our pleasure we open our home to you to enjoy and experience this wonderful region for yourself.

Polis Chrysochous is one of the, if not the, most beautiful locations in Cyprus. The most well known 'towns' in this area are Polis and Latchi.

The villa is in a truly wonderful location with the village, beach, sea, town and countryside all very close by........

Neo Chorio Village - set in the hillside above the bay, Neo Chorio (1km) is a winding village of stone cottages & white-washed houses. It's maintained its rustic charm with local traditions and customs still in evidence but you will also find 2 lovely traditional tavernas, 2 simple coffee shops & a small but well stocked food store!

The nearest beach is at Latchi (3km) and is just over 5 minutes drive away. The warm clear sea is ideal for swimming and a variety of water sports - including paragliding, scuba diving - and the long stretch of beach is never crowded. You may consider taking a fabulous boat trip to the nearby Blue Lagoon. Swim in the crystal clear waters, or hire a motorboat around the bay - take snorkels and a picnic for a wonderful day out. For the more adventurous, why not try your hand at deep sea fishing or diving - all of this is possible from Latchi.

Polis (8km) is a bustling town (but far from crowds and never busy) just 10 minutes or so drive from the villa. The centre of Polis, with its restored stone buildings, is a paved square and fountain at its heart and is a wonderful spot to sit and watch the world pass by. Polis Beach is a small secluded spot but it's among the cleanest beaches in Cyprus and has been awarded a European 'Blue Flag'.

The Akamas National Park (on the doorstep!)) is a tranquil eco-system of Mediterranean natural beauty. It is an enchanting place to explore and a paradise for the more active holidaymaker to enjoy outdoor pursuits such as walking, hiking, cycling and running! A leisurely walk to the Baths of Aphrodite is just one of the wonderful nature trails you can do directly from The Olive House. The Smigies trail through the pine forest is another one of our favourites!
