Swiss inspired chalet, breathtaking views, hot tub, close to slopes and village

"High Mowings Farm" is a Swiss inspired ski chalet surrounded by acres of beautiful hay fields and full views of Mt. Mansfield and slopes from house. This luxury home in the heart of the Vermont Mountains is situated at the peak of a hill in the valley between Mt. Mansfield (Stowe), Smugglers Notch and Jay Peak. High Mowings Farm is located 9/10 of a mile from the mountain road between Jeffersonville and Smugglers Notch Ski Resort. We have a great kitchen with Viking Range, multiple dishwashers and huge granite island. The many bathrooms won't make you wait for a tub or shower. One bath room has the 'tea for two' tub which can be quite romantic or has been known to accommodate 3 or 4 little ones. This property is a great retreat in all seasons and any weather condition.

Great place to stay. Close to smuggs. Clean. Owner was lovely. Fire place and hot tub on point! If I come back to this part of Vermont I will stay here again!

Perfect escape for city folk

Could not recommend this property enough! The house is incredible and the mountain views were exactly what we were looking for. Very close drive to Stowe if you wanted to experience a small town vibe as well for dining and shopping.

Fantastic getaway

We stayed in this wonderful home for a week with 2 other couples. We had never been to Vermont and the trip was fantastic. The house was large enough for all of us, the large kitchen was fantastic to cook in, the microwave made the perfect popcorn, the fireplace was awesome, especially since we had some chilly nights. I highly recommend this property and would definitely book it if we visit again.

Amazing ski weekend getaway

An amazing and private property with all the amenities for a big group of friends and family. Kitchen made for entertaining, plenty of beds, and a fun, relaxing atmosphere. The property is beautifully maintained with picturesque views of the VT mountains. Ollie was a great host and was very responsive to all of our questions. Would DEF visit again.

Clean, charismatic and charming

We had a wonderful stay her in that cabin in the mountains. There were beautiful views from the house, close to Burlington sand the ski resorts. The outstanding kitchen held the 9 of us perfectly! We made a fire every night after returning from the slopes. The kids had so much fun here. We would stay here over and over again!! Thank you to the owners for making our short stay amazing!!

Amazing!

This home was everything that it was stated to be...spacious, comfortable, wonderful kitchen for family meals, beautiful outside property to explore and enjoy...surrounded by the mountains including a wonderful view of Mt Mansfield, the highest peak in VT. The owner and caretaker were very helpful and friendly. I know this is generally a ski rental but we enjoyed it tremendously mid July as a home away from home while preparing for a family wedding in the area. We enjoyed driving the mountain road over to the town of Stowe as well as getting into Burlington which was about 30 min away. Thank you so much for opening your home up for others to enjoy! I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a retreat close to a beautiful part Vermont and can only imagine how beautiful it is in the winter as well!
