House was in a perfect location for our trip to Christmas in the Woods. Everything in the house was beautiful and the owner had snacks waiting for our arrival. I highly recommend this property.

My wife and I visit the Boardman area from Texas a couple times per year since we have family living there and my wife's mother was recently diagnosed with dementia. We have rented other VRBOs in the area and had not found one that we would go back to until now. This house was perfect. It had absolutely everything we would ever need or want. I work from home, so I was able to pack up my computer and monitors and set up in the spare bedroom at the office desk. The desk and the chair were perfect for what I needed and the house was cozy and clean. When we travel for vacation and use VRBO, we have never chosen to go back to the same house or cabin because we like new experiences and adventures. But, this house has been the one we have been looking for in this case. We just need a consistent place that we feel comfortable for a week at a time. This house is close to everything Boardman has to offer and in a great family neighborhood. We will definitely be staying at this house the next time we travel to Boardman. We will even plan our trip around when this house will be available. Thank you Krista for allowing us to make ourselves at home in your lovely home for the week. It was a great experience and we will be back.

Wonderful place?

My husband, son and mother in law stayed here overnight for YSU graduation. Walking in we immediately felt at ease and were able to relax in comfort after a long drive. The house and yard are beautiful and has everything you need. I highly recommend this place and would stay here again

Great Location for Local Golf Courses

We had a golf weekend and the proximity to a lot of great courses could not be better! Owner was super responsive and the house was in great shape. Love our stay here.

Lovely Home!

Our family truly enjoyed staying at this home over the weekend. Our grandson was in the Ohio elementary wrestling state tournament and this home was the perfect place to enjoy family time and a break from the competition. We are hoping to book it again!

Perfect for a family visit

The house was very clean and spacious, and was great for visiting our family in the area. Our two-year-old granddaughter loved the large back yard. House was nicely furnished and had everything we needed. Everything is close by, and the large kitchen was great for fixing meals.

Wonderfully updated and spacious home

I brought my wife and 2 adult children to the see the area where I grew up. We had a fabulous time and enjoyed the open kitchen area and comfortable family room. House was very clean and Krista was very responsive. Would definitely stay here again.

Home away from home

The location of this house is great-so many amenities and comfy-truly feels like a home away from home. Kitchen stocked and comfy beds and love the tvs and fans in each bedroom. Great backyard to relax. Kids had a blast in this vacation. Krista was a delight and communicative and we plan to come back whenever we are in the Youngstown area.

Spacious and Comfortable

So many nice touches. Immaculately clean, and so comfortable. Loved the big windows, the backyard, the coffee station in the kitchen. Very caring owners. Will be back when we visit the area again.

We’ve stayed at this property three times and have always followed all checkout instructions exactly as provided in the Vrbo app and the house binder. We have over 15 years of rental experience and take pride in leaving places in good condition.This time, we were charged an additional 150 for “cleaning,” despite leaving the home in what most would consider normal, respectful condition. The photos provided reflected typical post-stay use, not damage or excessive mess. As repeat guests, we expected a reasonable conversation—not an immediate charge that felt arbitrary and excessive.What’s even more concerning is that there were several issues during our stay that were never addressed. The backyard had cracked and uneven pavement that felt unsafe, and the exterior steps were unusually large and difficult to navigate. These are basic safety concerns that should be prioritized for guests.Additionally, the internet was not even set up or plugged in when we arrived, which required us to troubleshoot something that should have been ready for guests.If the expectation is that guests must clean to a professional standard on top of paying a cleaning fee, that needs to be clearly communicated upfront. That was not our experience.Between the unjustified charge, lack of responsiveness, and unresolved property issues, this experience felt disappointing and not aligned with what we’ve experienced elsewhere. Unfortunately, we would not stay here again.

Thank you for your feedback and for staying with us again. Your 2 previous visits were pretty much the same as this one, but I decided to let it go but this third time I am sorry that I could not. We do want to clarify a few points for accuracy. The additional cleaning charge was applied based on documented conditions after checkout that required significantly more time than a standard turnover. Our expectation is not that guests clean the home professionally, but that house rules are followed and the property is left in a generally orderly condition, similar to how one would leave their own home. We also want to note that no concerns regarding the outdoor steps or pavement were reported to us during your stay. Had we been made aware, we would have addressed or discussed them right away. The same applies to the internet this could have been resolved quickly, as it simply needed to be plugged in, and we are always available to assist in real time. mistakes do happen and the Internet was accidentally unplugged. Additionally, our team found items from games and other materials left throughout the home, which contributed to the extended cleaning time. We strive to be fair and responsive with all guests and encourage communication during the stay so any issues can be promptly handled. We’re sorry this visit did not meet expectations and wish you the best in your future travels.
