Great location in the heart of Rome.

  • 5 of 5

The apartment is less than 10 meters from Campo de' Fiori in Rome. It is a wonderful neighborhood and probably less than half a kilometer to Piazza Navona. There is a taxi stand a couple of hundred meters away that made traveling around the City a breeze. The daily market was a pleasant diversion/amenity as were all the restaurants and bars in the Campo. Plenty to do/see/shop in the area. The apartment is quite large with two bedrooms and one bath with a spare half bath on the back/courtyard balcony. It is on the top floor of the building which would not be bad except for the uneveness of the steps. Caution is required going up and down the stairs, but I would not hesitate to stay here again or to recommend the place. We were driving into Rome and had no set schedule. This caused a bit of a problem but the owner of the property worked with us and check-in turned out perfectly.

great flat in central location

  • 5 of 5

The apartment is located within walking distance to most of Rome's major points of interest. it has a well equipped kitchen, two bathrooms and effective air conditioners in each room. This is a very good choice of places to stay near campo de fiori.

Weekend in Rome with elderly parents

  • 4 of 5

Overall:

We recommend this property to anyone needing 2 bedrooms, wifi and air conditioning. The location was brilliant and the owner was wonderfully accommodating with our late check-in and check-out times.

Pros:

Air conditioning in all rooms (VERY important in July).

Spacious bedrooms and comfortable beds.

Fast wifi.

Large dining room table great for gathering and planing the day.

Kitchen had coffee and tea and we were able to make breakfast quite easily.

Furniture that was not exclusively from IKEA.

Good location to walk to museums and shopping.

Market on the square in the morning for fresh fruit and veg.

To know:

It's a three-floor walk up (only a setback for my elderly parents).

Second toilet is on the back balcony (a bit of Roman history).

It's on the edge of a loud square and you can hear the young crowd at the "Drunken Ship" quite clearly with windows closed. It is necessary to keep air on for white noise if you come back before 2am.

Communication with host was fantastic. However, contractors hired through owner were less than stellar and did cause some frustration for us when arriving and leaving the apartment. For example:

- Driver from airport was 30 minutes late with no explanation and was more expensive than a taxi from the stand.

- Person hired to let us into the building was also late arriving and did not have the keys for the apartment. He did not think to call the owner for a backup set of keys until after he arrived at the apartment. The upside was we were able to take a wander around the square while waiting for the keys to arrive. Owner arrived quickly and sorted the problem.

- Owner graciously allowed us to stay later for a check-out. However, the cleaning company was not aware and was quite unhappy to see us there. It made for an awkward situation.

Property just as decribed and just as expected.

  • 5 of 5

Old world charm in the heart of Rome. Campo de Forini was steps away and a wonderful way to start and end the day! Lots of food, shops, resturants and trinket vendors everywhere. Easy walk to all the sights, don't miss the walk along the river after 18:00. Would rent this place again my next trip to Rome.

Great location off lively square

  • 4 of 5

This Campo di Fiori apartment is centrally located between Coleseum, Batican and Pantheon, about a 30 minute walk to all via picturesque streets. Many restaurants and shops nearby and an active square with farmers market and outdoor cafes. At night we can hear revelers. The spacious top floor apartment is in an old walk-up building. No clothes drier. Tight shower stall for "bigger" people.
