Hillybills cabin stay

I thought our stay was very good,the location was great, the cabin was well kept and everything worked fine- the driveway entrance was interesting to say the least but figured it out after a couple of trips

Great stay

Home was just as described in the listing. Very clean and plenty of towels and rags. Travel sized soaps/ dishwasher detergent and laundry detergent was appreciated, although i had packed these items as well. We would definitely stay here again. To avoid having to go past the home and turn around to enter the drive way; instead of continuing down silver poplar ln, make a left on sky lodge ln then make a right onto silver poplar ln- the home will be on your right and you can pull right in.

Would definitely rent again

Very clean, very spacious. The only downside is the driveway, it is straight up and then a sharp turn to go up to the cabin.

Comfortable, but not well-equipped

Loved the hot tub, pool table, and view from the master bedroom! However, the kitchen is not well equipped, and things could have been cleaner.

We enjoyed our selves the cabin was great..driveway is a pain ,you have to go to the top of the hill to turn around to go to town and come back. We loved the cabin ,pool table and jacuzzi had a great time.

Cool location, nice cabin.

The property is nice, the driveway is very steep, you will need an All Wheel Drive to get up it. The cabin is in good shape, the pool table could use some TLC and the dish washer was i. Rough shape, but all in all it was a nice cabin. The kids loved the outside hot tub and the wife and I liked the upstairs private room with jacuzzi tub.

Do not rent

This cabin was filthy and half of everything was broken. The hot tub and jacuzzi were both broken which was a huge part of why I booked this location. The driveway is almost impossible to get up and down, especially at night because it is not lit

Our stay

This was a very nice looking cabin. The beds were very comfortable. In generally the house needs a good exterior clean. We noticed huge spiders webs everywhere. It needs some maintains on the inside. If the toilet tanks are running then you will have little to no water pressure in the shower. If someone downstairs is showering, you will not water to shower upstairs. This was slighted inconvenient. The downstairs room has not closet space. At the very least they should include some space to unpack your clothing. Also, this house is not suited for 8 people. There was no futon in the upstairs bedroom. Make sure you have a 4x4 vehicle. The driveway was treacherous.

Nasty

Nothing was clean. Found dirty diaper and cups . Floor was not clean and also a lot of broken stuff in this house like chair to table lamps and the couch was nasty … overall would not recommend this cabin

Terrible Experience

Here is how i would like to summarize my stay and aware anyone who is booking this cabin next. 1) It took me 45 min to get inside the cabin as the code did not work and had to work with physical key. Support team could'nt help. 2) The cleaning was terrible, the sofa smells like urine and front and back yard were like never cleaned for months. 3) The listing says king bedroom has a futon but it wasnt there and the vacasa managing team could resolve it. Kids has bad time sleeping well. 4) Listing show picture of barbecue grill but there is none. 5) First floor washroom doesnt lock from inside, Broken and chipped glasses and plates. 6) Only 4 cups, 4 glasses, so carry some with you. 7) No help from support team as no one showed up or called me back after i reported all these issues.

Close to all locations

The driveway is as steep as all the previous reviews state. 4×4 is preferable since at some point one of the cars struggled on the drive up. There's a nail sticking out of the living room floor. The futon needs updating since it's sunken in. The cookware needs updating as well. It's difficult to cook with pans that don't have a handle. The windows have a lot of spider webs on the outside. It is in between both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge which is ideal.

Great cabin for the price

We came all the way from Louisiana to enjoy a family vacation together in Tennessee and we were not disappointed with this cabin rental. We enjoyed our stay. It’s a cute cabin for the price and it definitely has the mountain cabin experience. Shortly after we arrived, we noticed that the upstairs bathroom was clogged up and wouldn’t drain. I contacted Vacasa maintenance that night and they came the very next morning and had it fixed and even cleaned the down stairs drains too. So we were very impressed with how fast they came to help with the problem. We really enjoyed our stay here in Hillybills Hideout. P.S. they do say in the description that the driveway to the cabin is a little steep and has a curve to it so be sure to have a 4 wheel drive vehicle or at least good tires with traction.

Cabin Sevierville

Dirty cabin, not well maintained. Broken grill, spider covered windows and dirty, dirty air conditioning, can’t unpack upstairs, breaker off to jacuzzi, fridge beat up, coffee pot didn’t work. Wouldn’t stay at this cabin. It needs a deep cleaning. Vacasa however responded to issues quickly. They offered to send cleaning crew, sent maintenance to fix jacuzzi, and brought a new coffee pot. I would use Vacasa again to book a different place. They were very nice and responded well to needs.

Extremely steep driveway

I did love that the cabin was in the woods. Driveway is extremely steep google maps doesn’t do it any justice. Washer sounds like two bears wrestling and the hot tub water had a mildew smell to it. Coffee table was broken you couldn’t put the remote on it. We did contact vacasa and someone came out and put some conditioner in the hot tub water. Then it smelled like conditioned water with mildew. Cabin is so secluded that you really feel like you can’t come and go as you please. With that being said I did enjoy staying there.

Disaster

I recently stayed at a log cabin, and unfortunately, it was far from the cozy retreat I had hoped for. The cabin was disappointingly dirty, with neglect evident in every corner. The fridge had noticeable dents, and to my dismay, none of the locks on the doors were functional, leaving me feeling uneasy about security. Adding to the frustration, the driveway managed to scratch my car, further diminishing the overall experience. It's disheartening when basic amenities and maintenance are overlooked, turning what could have been a pleasant getaway into a disappointing stay.

Rustic with a steep driveway

This cabin is very cozy and we enjoyed our stay here for 3 days! There are things that need improvement, especially for the price you pay to stay. The cabin needs a deep cleaning inside and out, also, the pullout sofa and the futon need to be replaced! The futon is broken and both are very dirty. When we opened the sofa bed there were mouse droppings on the mattress we had to clean. For the price we paid it should have been clean, with linens, pillows and blankets for the extra beds they listed in the description (pull-out sofa and futon). There are no extra pillows or blanets for these extra beds! We went out and purchased blankets for the kids. I informed Vacasa, they were very helpful and delivered extra linens and 2 blankets the following day after we checked in. We just put pillow cases over the small couch cushions to use for pillows. Upstairs, in the master suite, the tv does not have anything but a very old dvd player that we had to keep blowing into to get to work, and a few dvds to watch, we were not expecting that. Some of the positive things about the cabin was the gas fireplace, the hot tub and location. I think we should be refunded some of the money we paid for the cleaning 😏

The reason why I’m giving this cabin a two is because the hot tub was broken, the jetted bathtub was broken, The grass was so high that my son couldn’t play in the little yard area ,the Grill was broken, there is trash in the yard, there was a remote missing in the downstairs bedroom. I just called and talked to multiple people and they all keep telling me the same thing they’re so sorry and will get back to me . They have said they will give me a some money back and then I go to call again and since my fiancé is on the reservation and I am not they will not speak to me anymore even though I’ve talked to at least four people and they had told me the manager would call me and they have not. I am just disappointed because who wants to rent a cabin that has a hot tub that doesn’t work. We asked if they could mow and never did. The cleaning could be better also. There was spider weds everywhere and the front porch needed to be swept off. I also feel as they knew things were broken because It was in the reviews from awhile ago .

Could use a deep cleaning w/windows & dusting but overall not too bad

I’m not one to complain unless things are drastic but since I’m being honest there were a few things that could definitely use improvement. We couldn’t watch TV the whole time we were there due to the fact there wasn’t any remote batteries and when we scrounged some up we couldn’t get the TV to go onto a station. It wasn’t that bad though because we spent more time together without the TV for two days but the TV still should’ve been easily accessible. Underneath the bed upstairs looked very dusty and the windows could use a cleaning throughout the cabin, with all the cobwebs and film on them they weren’t as nice to look out of. Underneath the porch outside the front entrance area had a bunch of junk under it and a few pieces of trash on the property as well but overall it wasn’t that bad and at least the bathrooms, kitchen looked clean. The coffee table we noticed was broke when we tried to unfold it and bring it closer to the couch. Also,some of the decor/furniture could use updating but I understand this is a rental and the chances of keeping it nice from all the heavy traffic would be difficult. So my main complaint would be dirty windows and a few needed commodities such as there should be a Keurig coffee pot versus the old fashioned type that was there. I forgot to mention the hot tub should get at least 10° hotter than it did, but overall it was a nice getaway for the weekend & the driveway wasn’t as bad as I expected w/some of the reviews I’d read prior to our stay.

Worst place to stay

Don’t bother with this home unless you like a run down shack.... I’m not even kidding. This place is disgustingly filthy. There is mice poop behind the master bed, the bathtubs were not clean when we arrived. The balcony in the front is broken and the spindles are missing making it a huge hazard for small children. The front steps are rotting and falling apart, also missing boards. The outdoor lights were broken and no lightbulbs to replace them, but when we called management they said they would send someone to fix it which never happened. The hot tub is a joke and doesn’t work, so don’t bother booking a trip to be able to use that..... There are missing remote to the TV’s so they are useless. The internet goes out and won’t come back on even after restarting the routers. The pool table is broken and missing items. So don’t try and play a game cause you won’t be able to.... You are not left with any hand soap, so come prepared, also will want to travel with your own trash bags as there are non on the premises Overall I would never ever book here again!! I wouldn’t even book a home using this company because of how bad this experience was. In all honestly I wish we would have just left the night we arrived and checked in to a hotel because atleast I know it would have been cleaner and the amenities would have worked. This place has not been cared for and you can tell. It’s a shame that it is in the state it is. Management refunded me the cleaning fee and hot tub fee but that doesn’t make up for the whole stay being completely ruined. We should have just left... for the amount of money you pay per night and then ALL the fees you could stay at a really nice hotel.... not worth the money to stay here... 10/10 would NOT recommend to anyone!
