Ultimate Beach House for Your Next Vacay~50 feet from the Beach!!

Our house is beachfront in Carlsbad village with beautiful views of the waves from the large balcony on the top floor. Spacious open style living area with modern kitchen, dining room, family room, and 2 large Master bedrooms with bathrooms, each with a super comfy king size bed. A third "add-on" bedroom is accessed through the upstairs Master bedroom, but does have its own doors for privacy, windows for natural light, and a trundle bed with two twin mattresses. One of the main bedrooms also has a queen sleeper sofa and a work area (desk and chair) with lots of natural light. 5-burner BBQ in our private backyard. The house is only a few minutes walk (a few blocks) to the adorable Carlsbad Village. We have 4 adult bikes, 1 child size bike, plus boogie boards, chairs, umbrella, and toys - everything you need for a fun day at the beach. We have a 2-car garage (doesn’t fit a Suburban, but we have space in the driveway for a large car). Bathrooms are showers (no tubs) and were remodeled in Jan. 2025. Fully stocked with towels and bath products. Kitchen is clean and fully stocked with all kitchen necessities provided for your cooking ease. Three 55-inch smart flat screen TVs. The private backyard is fully enclosed for extra space to relax, cook on the BBQ, or let kids run around safely. Private front door and garage door entrances ensure social distancing safety. The view of the ocean is priceless! Our house is a great choice for your next vacation and we look forward to hosting you!

The city is performing scheduled maintenance on nearby streets from December–March. Work occurs during normal daytime hours and may cause occasional noise. We want guests to be aware ahead of time.

Wonderful stay, lovely, large and comfortable condo that was well stocked for our stay (needed scissors & tape and they were there- so nice). Coffee, sugar & creamer stocked. Nice bottle of wine to greet us. Made it easier to get settled and enjoy!Third bedroom is a separated space in the larger bedroom. Comfortable & served its purpose. Beds were comfy & we slept very well. Lovely ocean view from the deck - great at sunset. Easy walk down to the beach. Not the fault of the unit or owners but the traffic is quite loud so hard to enjoy the ocean sounds from the unit. Easily resolved by walking across the street & down the stairs, we didn’t use the bikes or beach gear but there was plenty of it so maybe next time! Garage has 2 sides with a post in the middle. Tesla 3 fit and the driveway space fit my kids trucks side by side (Tacoma and 4-runner) without blocking neighbors or feeling crowded. Absolutely will return. Hosts were kind & responsive - no complaints at all.

Mike and Janice have a wonderful place, directly across the street from the Ocean. The configuration of the rooms allowed us to look at the ocean all day from the living room, kitchen and dining room. The bedrooms were in the back of the house and thus very quiet and cool. The bathrooms are newer than the photos and extremely well done. We also appreciated the access to all of the beach equipment: chairs, umbrellas, beach towels and blankets, and a bunch of other stuff we didn't get to such as bikes, boogie boards, etc. We appreciated having screens on almost all of the windows, which allowed us to get good cross ventilation from the front to the back of the house. WIFI was excellent for work, streaming, and videogaming on a laptop. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful beach house, in a wonderful location! This house is directly across the street from the beach, and also walking distance to all of the great restaurants and shops in Carlsbad village. My family of 6 adults stayed here, and we had plenty of space for everyone. We loved using all of the beach gear provided in the garage, and had so much fun riding the bikes into town every day to shop. Mike was a wonderful host and responded right away to any questions we had. We love Carlsbad, and would absolutely love to book this house again if we return.

Perfect location

We loved staying at this property. Right across from the beach and a short walk to all the restaurants and shops. The house had everything we needed for our stay. We will definitely stay here again if we vacation in Carlsbad again.

Good Beach Stay Needing a Little Love

This VRBO was in a good location (good sunsets and short walk to downtown Carlsbad) with comfy beds / blankets and good amenities (kitchen supplies). Communication with the property manager was very good as well. Our group was disappointed in the condition of the home which needs some reno (stained carpets, stained couch, outdated bathroom, mirrored living room walls, offset knobs on the stove, dirty baseboards, etc). Might be good for a group of surfers but we wouldn't return to this location since it's outdated.

Fantastic location

We loved our stay here. Wish we could have stayed longer. The house is located in a PERFECT location. We went to Legoland day 1 and Sea World day 2. We walked across the street and took walks on the gorgeous beach too. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Just what we needed

we really liked the place a lot. Unfortunately we had record high temperatues during our time there. It would have been nicw to have AC but most places on the coast have no need for it.

Small birthday party wonderland

This property had a wonderful setup for a private birthday party. We celebrated a milestone birthday for my wife and this was the perfect location. The view from the balcony and sounds of the ocean late and night / early in the morning was phenomenal. The community was quiet and calm, even traffic was quiet. The rooms were spacious, the third bonus room is a room within the uppermost bedroom. There was just an abundance of space, we were overwhelmingly pleased. Thank you.

Great getaway to the beach

This place has pretty much everything you need and more! First of all, communication with the host was quick and easy. The place was clean, well maintained, well stocked and nicely decorated. Great book and game selection too. Great location right across from the beach and so many beach supplies. I would book this place again in a heartbeat. The only thing I would mention is that the “add-on” is more like a sun room off of one of the bedrooms. It worked for us bc we just put all the kids in there, but may not be the best option if you need 3 actual separate bedrooms.

Spring Break Holiday

We very much enjoyed our stay, being right across the street from the beach was very nice. My son was thrilled there was a boogie board and a wetsuit to use. Close to walk downtown to shops and restaurants. The only hiccup was the listing says 3 bedrooms, which technically it is but the 3rd bedroom is not a separate room like you would expect. The hosts responded quickly to my inquiries. Overall, my family and I will stay here again. We loved our trip!!

Best beach house

This was the best beach house with the most awesome kindest owners ever!! We are Carlsbad locals for over 25 years. We needed a house closer to the beach for our daughter’s 13th birthday celebration we couldn’t have asked for a better house!! We will definitely rent this house again!!

Perfect Getaway!

What a wonderful property that is well maintained and thoughtful in all aspects making you feel home away from home! The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen stocked with everything you need. The location is unbeatable as well; a short walk to beach.

Location, Location, Location!

Beautiful views, Carlsbad Village is just a short walk away with many great restaurants, shops and a fun farmers market. House was very clean. Included a nice grill for fresh fish and everything you need for the beach - Had a great time.

Great Getaway location

My husband and I wanted to find a place to stay in CA with a view and away from the crowds. I'd say we hit the jackpot. Carlsbad is a great little town that is centralized to any major tourist destination north or south. The house was perfect for our needs and Mike was a pleasure to deal with. We would definitely stay here again when we return to the area.
