Ask a questionAbout Debbie & Rick
We've had a great time working on the cottage and we look forward to sharing it with you. Simply put, we love the water views, nature, and the neighborhood. This area is magical for us and we know that it’s magic will work on you, too. On this tree lined street, it is perfect for taking a long walk, getting away from the hustle & bustle of city life or just enjoying being with family & friends. You will find that Anacortes is a fantastic small town, with many community events throughout the year.

Why Debbie & Rick chose Skagit County
Yokeko Point is at a narrow point between Fidalgo Island and Whidbey Island. Before the Deception Pass Bridge was built in the 1930s, a ferry crossed nearby. The land across the water is Deception Pass State Park and it is without buildings, allowing a wonderful natural setting. From the house you can see the Coronet Bay Marina and Hoypus Point. While 13 miles from Naval Air Station Whidbey Island, you may see and hear aircraft, too. Things to do: *Hike in Deception Pass State Park, Mount Erie or Washington Park. *Walk along the beach at Rosario Beach *Take a whale watching boat ride with Island Adventures in Anacortes. *Drive to the Cap Sante Marina, walk the docks and delight in the gorgeous yatchs & fishing vessels. *Stop at one of the water view restaurants at the marina for lunch or dinner. *Drive to Seattle and enjoy city life *Explore Deception Pass State Park & hike to the beach or walk along the bridge *Sign up for a cooking class at King Arthur’s, The Bread Lab *Enjoy the Farmer’s Market in Anacortes on Saturdays and there is also a Farmer’s Market in Mount Vernon. *Go to Anacortes to see a movie at the Anacortes Cinema *Eat at one of the many wonderful restaurants in town *Walk along the street in front of the cottage, for an ever changing view, from tree covered areas to wide open water views. *Sit and just relax at the house. More details: *2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms *White, silky cotton bedding *Fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher *WiFi and DirectTV *Washer and dryer *2 TVs with DVD players and a small DVD library *Outdoor patio near the water with a chiminea, for an evening by the warmth of an outdoor fire. *Converted boathouse sunset views. Take a seat & enjoy! No boats and no water access, the currents are dangerous. We love this property and we think that you will love it, too. The cottage is on Fidalgo Island but you don't need a ferry to reach the property. Interstate 5 to Hwy 20, will bring you to the door for your next adventure.
What makes this Cottage unique
You’ll appreciate the private feel of the cottage, the convenient location and the picture perfect setting. There are so many exploring opportunities near by, and that is what makes this home a super choice. You can watch the resident harbor seals fish in the swirling currents below the bank and you can certainly relax. Boats passing nearby include small fishing boats, large yachts, tug boats with log booms in tow and the Victoria Clipper ferry. On a rare day, you might see an orca pod or a gray whale pass by. The city of Seattle is an hour and a half drive and the Canadian boarder is just over an hour away. The converted boat house is available for our guests. It is the only boat house on Deception Pass. Bring your drinks and snacks and watch the sun set and slide down behind the Deception Pass Bridge. The house manual will detail the important safety rules and you will find the gate code there, too. There is not a boat in the boat house, which makes it a perfect place to relax and enjoy this special place. You will feel like you are on vacation and the views out the windows are lovely and unique to Deception Pass. It is a home that you will want to come back to, after a full day of exploring.
