Welcome to this fully renovated house originally built in 1786 by Joseph Clement, one of the only homes to survive the burning of St Davids in 1814. All amenities throughout this historical home have been restored to the highest quality without sacrifice. Backing onto the award-winning Ravine Vineyard Estate Winery, Clement House provides a picturesque setting along the grape vines featuring a large patio and two-person swing. The Clement House is licensed by the Town of Niagara-On-The-Lake. License number 006-2019

A very cozy house in a fantastic locationWe thoroughly enjoyed our fall vacation at Clement House. The house is very well equipped, with a hot tub, fireplace, laundry facilities, and a very large garden with a barbecue and fire pit. Clement House is located in a great wine region, with attractions just 15 minutes away. The hosts were very friendly and helpful, and we learned a lot about the history of the house. Stunning property

We booked Clement house because my daughter was getting married at Ravine Vineyard. It was gorgeous, sparkling clean, great location, beautiful grounds and friendly and informative hosts. I plan to go back when I’m not so harried with the wedding, just to luxuriate in the property!

My family stayed at Al and Heather's property for a couple days to celebrate Christmas. They were extremely hospitable and accommodating and even decorated the house for Christmas. The house is beautiful and very spacious. Definitely recommend staying here if you're in the Niagara region.

Wonderful Stay

Al and Heather have a truly special place they share with others. As described, it is a fully updated home, originally built in the late 1700's. The beds are very comfortable, the bathrooms are luxurious, lots of space for sitting, reading, talking and a fully outfitted kitchen with lovely dining space. One of our best places ever. Thank you!

Family visit and wedding

My wife and I recently stayed at The Clement House while visiting for a family wedding. What an absolute Gem. Perfect location, close to wineries, Niagara on the Lake and great restaurants. Great listening to Al talk about the history of the house. The house is well equipped. Al and Heather thought of everything you would need for an excellent visit. Would absolutely recommend this place and would not hesitate to stay here again.

Best Stay Ever in NOTL

My friends and I take this annual trip every year and this was the first time we stayed in this property. Everything was as exactly as described and probably even better in person. Al was was fantastic and helpful. He explained the history of the house . The beds were luxury, hotel quality. . And you cannot beat the view of the vineyards. We will definitely stay there again. Definitely recommend.

Awesome stay

We spent the New Years Eve with friends in the Clement house. The house is very beautiful in a quiet neighborhood. Super close to downtown area and surrounding wineries. Al was welcoming and helpful, and we loved hearing about the history of the house. It was an honor to be able to spend a few days in this beautiful ancient house. A Wonderful House and Experience

The house was perfect. The owners have thought of everything. It was really interesting to have Al explain the history of the house. We are locals and did not know this information. Highest quality rental

This rental is leaps and bounds the best experience I have ever had renting a property. Al and Heather are expert level communicators who make you comfortable from the first moment of booking. Everything you need for your stay is provided. The historical nature of this home adds something special to the stay. The Ravine Winery that this property backs to has a beautiful restaurant that backs to the vineyard and a pizzeria on site as well. The views of the vineyard from the back patio take this home to the top for stays I’ve had in the area.

Our Daughters Wedding

We just completed our stay in St Davids at the Clement House. Al (our host) was there to greet us when we checked in and gave us the history of the house and the area. Everything about the house was terrific! The listing is exactly what you get. We did not have to contact Al for anything during our stay (although he said call him day or night) because there really were no issues at all. This truly was the best spot to celebrate our daughters special day!.

Beautiful Gem!

I have recently returned from a birthday weekend and the Clement House is absolutely beautiful, quaint, and the owners could not have been more accommodating. Everything is new and clean and properly taken care of. Sitting on the patio was spectacular with views of the Ravine winery, a swing to relax on and outdoor fire pit. Beds are comfortable with beautiful throw blankets to snuggle in. All the amenities for a full weekend trip. The owners are just a phone or text away and extremely helpful. The local neighborhood is quaint and welcoming. I would definitely recommend the Clement House. We will be coming back to enjoy this wonderful spot again.

Friends Reunion at The Clement House

We loved our stay at The Clement House! We were excited to explore Niagara-on-the-Lake, but this house kept drawing us back. It was clean, spacious, and GORGEOUS! The history of this house is incredible, and it was truly a treasure to have stayed here. We highly recommend!

Al's a retired Radio guy. Heather is CEO of Total Area Inc. an exhibit (trade show) company that designs, manufactures and manages trade shows around the world. We travel a lot and The Clement House brings the best of our many international experiences together, to our own backyard in Niagara-on-The-Lake.

Why they chose this property

We found this historical gem while visiting our personal favorite wine-tasting location and restaurant, Ravine Winery! The Clement family built the house and farmed the surrounding land. After the War of 1812, the land was sold to the Lawrey family who rebuilt the town and eventually created what is now the award-winning Ravine Estate Vineyard. The house was in desperate need of a complete restoration, and now guests from around the world love it's history, beauty, and character.

What makes this property unique

15 minute drive to world famous Niagara Falls, and to Old Town Niagara-on-the-Lake with the Shaw Festival, Queen Street's quaint shops, Lake Ontario, and the oldest golf course in North America. Right in the middle of wine country.
