Perfect P-town cottage
My husband, 4 year old daughter and I stayed in this wonderful cottage from 7/1-7/8, and really couldn't have asked for a better place. Every detail has been taken care of-- Parking, pots, pans, dishes, every type of cooking utensil, laundry detergent, beach umbrella and chairs, rain umbrellas (which we needed one day), nice quality bath towels, even band-aids. (Useful with a 4 year old...) The location is ideal- a block from the water and from town- so much to do and see! We walked out the door and within minutes were at the PAAM museum, beautiful galleries, restaurants, shops, and of course, the beach. Gallery night on Friday was magical. We are already looking forward to coming back next year!
Shefali and her family were wonderful guests. She was very easy to work, good communication skills and a sweet person. I'm very happy that the Shah family enjoy my home and would like to come back for another visit! To summer 2018!
Lovely, light-filled gem in the charming East End gallery district
Our week in this lovely, well-tended, light-filled home was marvelous in every possible way. In two previous P-Town visits, we stayed on the lively and bustling West End, but this year we opted for digs in the more easy-going East End gallery district, a quietly delightful stretch of town still within easy walking and pedicab distance from the shopping, dining, and entertainment hubbub a few blocks down Commercial Street.
Sequestered on a cul-de-sac in a charming and historic residential area, this turned out to be one of the loveliest, most comfortable places we have ever rented. It’s quiet and very private but within easy walking distance of everything. It’s an around-the-corner stroll from the wonderful Angel Foods co-op, public access to a the bay beach, the Provincetown Art Museum, and several dozen galleries (which we loved ambling through all week, topped by a delightful Friday night art crawl).
From the moment we walked through the door, we were enchanted by the wonderful feel and spirit of this beautifully restored and immaculate condo unit in a 1850 house … uncluttered, light and airy, with burnished pine floors and a cottage vibe of casual elegance and comfort. So many grace notes, from the beautifully designed garden just outside the door (with two wicker chairs on a small deck perfectly situated for morning coffee and flower-and-butterfly gazing) to a welcoming vase of flowers on the coffee table in the comfortable and tastefully designed and furnished living room. On top of which… comfortable beds, striking art photography on the walls, a charming back patio, and a lovely and cozy reading nook with a window on the gardens. Joy
We ate most of our meals at wonderful local eateries (Provincetown is a foodie paradise), but the large, well-stocked kitchen offers just about anything a gourmet cook could ask for. The owner, Frank, clearly thought of every amenity, including fast wi-fi, beach umbrellas, washer-dryer, and helpful notes and tips about local shops, restaurants, and attractions. From the moment we booked to the day we departed, we felt very well cared for. Whatever our needs, Frank was prompt, gracious, thoughtful, and attentive via email and text.
Only one lament: That our exceptionally wonderful and restorative week here came to an end! We hope others discover this gem (as long as we can still get a spot on the calendar for future visits). Thank you, Frank, for sharing your truly lovely, light-filled, East End cottage.
Great stay in the East End
Nice property in the quiet East End. Stayed for a week with my partner and a friend. The house is very private with a beautiful large yard, which is very unusual for Ptown. The house was very clean and much nicer than the photo's posted on this site. Eat in kitchen, the pantry was well stocked, did not need to purchase any condiments which is a big plus when vacationing. Plenty of towels, great water pressure and friendly neighbors. We met a lovely couple from Sweden staying in the studio portion of the property and the gentleman upstairs did not make one peep. I only met him the morning we were leaving, and he was very pleasant. The nice thing about the location is your not in the center of all the hoopla, but only a quick walk into the party when your in the mood. The East End is great for those morning walks and if you want a quick morning swim just walk to St. Mary's down (east) Commercial Street for a dip in the bay. I would recommend this condo and would return myself.
Perfect Northeast Getaway
It was just what I imagined it would be. It is an older place with wooden floors; real wooden floors! The house was a piece of art in and of itself. The close proximity to town made day trips into town easy. I would love to rent here again!
Best of everything!
An amazing find! Quiet east east location that was close enough for fun yet removed enough to relax! Owners were on point with amenities and a pleasure to work with. I would absolutely stay there again!
This was the perfect place for a two week stay - best place we've stayed in the 11+ years we've been renting in P town. Great location - close to everything but set back on a side street so it's quiet and private. Artfully and thoughtfully furnished: beautiful but comfortable for lounging. I especially loved the reading nook beteeen the kitchen and living room. For 6 of the 14 nights we stayed, there were four of us and it was roomy enough for all of us. The kitchen is well equipped and spacious. There are windows everywhere so you can enjoy a view of the lovely and well maintained garden. The owners were a pleasure to deal with every step of the way, and the little touches like a notebook with info about the house and P town made us feel especially welcome and well ared for -- thank you Frank and Larrry!
