About KLazien brummel
After the fall of the Wall, Guido left to visit the previously hidde countries and went back ten years later, together with me, Klazien. We fell in love, on each other and on land. From that moment on we visited Czech Republic in all seasons. When in 2005 the opportunity buy and to renovate a large farmer's farm, near the Lipno Lake, Guido seized it with both hands. We have been here since 2006 with great pleasure our holidays and our two children (and their friends) see growing up. Years we spent on the large-scale renovation :-). The 19th century farm had been empty for 60 years. We are happy that the majority is behind us. We live and work in Amsterdam.

Why KLazien brummel chose Cerna V Posumavi
This house is ideal for people who: Are in search for quiet and peace Love nature Are sportive Or do need to write and read a lot Love special houses Do not mind to do the dishes by hand Love a beautiful interior Caring Love simplicity Occasionally want to ski Do not want crowds Love culture Love swimming and surfing Nice to find nice (wooden) toys Playing in the forest (and building huts) The house is less (not) suitable for people: Who need a lot of privacy (the layout is too open for that) Being demanding and needing pure luxury Who have difficulty walking (too many stairs) Who actually want a hotel (you have to make your own food and clean everything) Need WIFI (one has to work with 4G)

Beautiful cycling and walking tours start right from the house. The farm lies on a country road that leads to the picturesque Svetlik. Whoever knows how to find them, can pick mushrooms there on the way. In the winter, you can go from the hills to your heart's content.
The Bohemian Forest (Šumava) is the largest nature reserve in Bohemia and it has been declared a "biosphere reserve" by Unesco. Culture and nature lovers can enjoy a wonderful holiday in both summer and winter. In summer, there are many opportunities for hiking and cycling through numerous marked hiking and mountain biking trails. In winter there are extensive cross-country skiing possibilities from the holiday home. At a short distance (20-50 km) are several excellent ski slopes.
Less than 25 kilometers away is the historic UNESCO-protected Ceský Krumlov with its beautiful castle and Egon Schiele Center. Brno with its Villa Tugendhat by Mies van der Rohe and the capital Prague are definitely worth a visit.
