The first thing that will attract you to our beautiful home, aside from its gorgeous location, is the open feel of the living area highlighted by a completely furnished kitchen featuring top-end granite counters, new cabinets and appliances. This spacious kitchen opens to a dining area as well as the large living area with a gas fireplace, flat screen TV, blue-ray player and comfy furniture. The living area leads to our large covered outdoor deck with hot tub.

Our heated attached garage with ample additional outside parking, a portion of which is under cover, is on a level lot to provide additional convenience.

The master bedroom suite located adjacent to the main living area features a King Size bed, super views, a large flat screen 'smart' TV and ample storage space for clothing and extras. The attached bath has double sinks and a large walk in shower with a built in seat for relaxing. The 2nd bedroom is a 'queen suite' with queen bed, 'smart' TV and attached full bathroom. Bedroom #3 has a queen bed, TV with a built in dvd, and shares a full bath with bedroom #4 which has a TV and 2 sets of new bunk beds. Bottom line is that our home has all the amenities to truly relax, enjoy the tranquility of the mountains and wind down after an active day. Or, if you prefer, the large covered deck with new hot tub provides an atmosphere to read a book, talk with family members and just chill out!

We take pride in our home and provide high quality furnishings and cleanliness to ensure a fantastic experience for you and your guests.

Although Breckenridge is famous for its great snow and winter activities, summer and fall are also excellent times to visit our home which is nestled in a beautiful aspen glen and surrounded by wild flowers. Our location is very convenient to town and all its amenities. It's only 2 1/2 miles from the gondola, supermarket and downtown Breckenridge, as well as the base of Peaks 6,7,8 &9 for convenient skier drop off. A quiet and uniquely beautiful setting, with occasional visits from moose, elk and other wildlife makes relaxing on the covered deck or in the hot tub a truly relaxing mountain experience while enjoying nature.

Sorry, no smoking or pets to maintain allergy friendly atmosphere. Also, no children under 2 without prior written consent from owners.

Our home sleeps 10 people. It is ideal for a large family with children or for a multi-family visit. A car is needed.

About Richard Wiesner

Retired banker/wife is a quilter- with 2 married sons and 4 granddaughters. We were introduced to Breckenridge 30 years ago while visiting friends on Peak 7 for skiing. This led to our purchase of a 2 BR, 2 BA condo which we enjoyed for nearly 20 years. During this time we occasionally looked at buying a home, always centering our search on the Peak 7 area due to its convenient location for skiing and proximity to all downtown amenities. During the ensuing 20 years our entire family loved using our condo as much as possible, winter and summer. Summer hiking, fishing and golfing consumed our days (plus my wife's accent on quilting) and of course skiing was great during the winter due to being able to access 4 mountain peaks with ample terrain variety.

Although we always had a yen to have our own home which would more easily accommodate our 'family' of 10, we never found the right situation until the 909 American Way home came on the market. We had actually seen this house 'for sale' 3 years ago and loved it more than anything else we had seen, but were beaten to the punch by the eventual owners. These folks unexpectedly decided to sell this past summer and we immediately put in a successful offer to purchase the home which we had jokingly referred to over the past 3 years as 'our home'! We feel so fortunate to be Peak 7 home owners and after closing on the property in early August dedicated the summer to buying new furniture and to getting things just right for occupancy starting this fall (2012).

Why Richard Wiesner chose Breckenridge

We originally chose Breckenridge to buy property over 20 years ago due to its 'family' feel and ease of travel to and from Denver when flying in. We also knew many other families who already had a 2nd home here and we visited often as our family grew up.

What makes this house unique

A gorgeous location in a forest of Aspen trees with great views, as well as a super living area layout, which includes a large covered deck with a top of the line hot tub make this home unique in summer, fall and winter. The home's close proximity to Peaks 6,7,8 & 9 for skier drop off, as well as the downtown gondola, restaurants and shopping, makes convenience an additional plus factor for the many varied activities Breckenridge has to offer.

Summer/fall activities are also numerous with easy access to the 'Peaks Trail'. Also, several nearby great golf courses see much use by our family.

Beautiful home with spectacular views!

The property is very spacious with a spectacular views all around the house. We been a group of 8 people, but you'll feel very comfortable if you'll be there in a group of 10 adults. Very large open style living room, beautiful kitchen and a large dinning table will make your stay very comfortable. The hot tub outside is amazing, we use it every day during our winter vacation . The owner and property manager are incredibly responsive.Highly recommend! For sure will be back for another vacation in Breck.

Wonderful cabin on Peak 7

Our family of 10 thoroughly enjoyed our New Year's vacation on American Way. Our hosts Richard and Linda were incredibly accommodating. The home is nicely appointed with modern appliances, comfortable beds and bathrooms.

We did encounter an issue with our shower, which was immediately addressed by the management company with the full support of the owners.

I would highly recommend this home for family get-togethers. The main living area is a wonderful space for relaxing after a full day on the slopes. There is even space for a dedicated games table!

We will be back!!!

Another Amazing Stay!

This was our second time staying in the beautiful, Peak 7 Home, and, once again, we were not disappointed! The home is large, roomy, and beautifully decorated. The kitchen is a dream, and probably the most well-appointed of any we've ever rented across the country. Our multi-generational family had plenty of room, having 4 bathrooms certainly helped! Everyone, from the oldest to youngest, had a great time. We all enjoyed the spectacular views from the deck while soaking in the hot tub, and had loads of fun playing games at the huge dining room table. One of our best mini-vacations yet, due in large part, to this wonderful home. We definitely will be returning! Thank you, Dick and Linda, for sharing your little slice of paradise!

We stayed at this beautiful home for Spring Break with 9 in our group. The house is beautiful and it accommodated our group easily with the open floor plan. The kitchen was very well stocked with appliances and tools. We ate all our meals at the house. After a day of skiing, the hot tub was a very nice treat and in a great location on the deck. The owners were especially nice to work with and ensure our stay was comfortable. Beautiful sunrise and sunset views from the house. We ski 2-3 times each year, and this is the best home we have rented!

Just Perfect!

We were a group of 9 and we were so happy this this house! It felt like home from the minute we arrived. From the decor, open floor plan, well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds (with lots of pillows), easy drive to downtown and the slopes, great outdoor hot tub that we enjoyed every night after a day of skiing - no complaints whatsoever and we wouldn't change a thing! The owner was a pleasure to deal with. It it obvious that he is very proud of this house and he has every right to be - it is a beautiful home nestled into one of the best ski resorts in the country! We will be renting this house again! P.S. We especially appreciated the discount arranged by the owner at Alpine Sports for rental ski equipment!

We Love It!

Our group of friends has now rented this house for a one-week ski trip, two years in a row. Everything is kept in good working order. The house is always clean. The hot tub is great. The dining table is huge, along with a separate round table. Both are great for games at night. The owner is fantastic to work with. The access to the house is convenient, with both a combo keypad to enter the garage, and another combo lock to access a lockbox with the key to the front door just in case. The washer and dryer are great, and there is always plenty of detergent. You won't be disappointed if you have a group of five to 10 people.

Car: not necessary

Home is located just under 3 miles from base of Peaks 6,7 (Independence Chair Lift) and 8 for easy skier drop off. Longer term winter parking is available at the base of the Gondola, also under 3 miles away. Many recreational activities available such as all winter sports (cross country skiing, ATV rides, etc.). There is also live theater put on by the Backstage Theatre, an award winning playhouse, as well as many restaurants offering all types of dining. Also, a large local recreation center featuring indoor swimming, tennis, gymnasium, and a fully equipped large work out area is only 2 miles away---reasonable visitor fees apply.
