Perfect cottage located at the beach and overlooking the Mississippi Sound. Enjoy beautiful water views and unbeatable sunsets from your porch and pier. The pier includes a covered seating area. The open floor plan has a split bedroom plan with a central kitchen and great room. This home is professionally decorated with everything you could need or want for your vacation. The antique hardwood floors throughout this three-bedroom, two-bath home are a must-see.

It was our second time staying at Chic. We have become very comfortable at this house. The only thing we miss is having an area to sit on the sun on the back porch, it is completely covered, but we are sun lovers but it doesn’t keep us from staying there. Great quiet place and it is beautiful with a pier.

week at Dauphin Island

The overall house was awesome, super cute and close enough to town but far enough away. Mattress in master needs some upgrading along with the shower head. Could have used a grill of some sort outside and beach chairs to borrow. Otherwise okay and would stay again.

Island Home

The house and location is great but that is the only good thing I can say. If you choose to stay there, you need to be prepared to take any and all basic necessities. There was no wifi, no TV, no grill, and no beach chairs. I called Vacassa about the wifi and they said they would send someone out. Never heard from them again. I have stayed in this property for the last 3 yrs. Over the years the amenities have been cut off one by one. We will be looking for a different place to stay next year.

Lovely Dauphin Island home on quiet Sound

My husband and I, plus my mom just returned from a relaxing 4 night stay at this lovely beach house. The home is adorable, comfortable, stylishly decorated and extremely clean. The photos of this home are accurate, and it is apparent that it is well taken care of. There were plenty of bath linens, kitchen ware, extra bed linens, pillows, blankets etc. Both queen beds were comfortable. Did not use the singles. I read the reviews about window treatments and I had a concern ahead of time, but it was not an issue. Bedrooms had blinds and drapes, kitchen had an operational linen Roman shade. The only area without window coverings was the living room area that faced the back bay, or Mississippi Sound side of the property. It is a very private ‘backyard’. It was lovely to see the water and to watch the sky change color at sunrise & sunset. We have rented two other homes on Dauphin Island twice before that were on the Gulf side. We actually liked the location of this home more. It was a short, short hop to the beach, it was quiet and it felt private, especially when we were dining out on the back deck, or sitting outside with a glass of wine or in the a.m. in our pajamas. By the way, we loved the Adirondack chairs and my husband LOVED the outdoor shower! After one day, we felt very at home on this property. We would definitely rent it again.

Great, relaxing week

Fully & nicely stocked kitchen. The host was generous with supplies. The house was clean & comfortable. The dock needs some TLC, but we were able to fish from there. We saw dolphins and some crabs. If you’re concerned about windows without blinds, this home may not be for you. During the day it’s great seeing out the front & back. However, at night it can be a little unnerving. We loved having our coffee on the back porch! Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Nice House But…

The house was nice and really clean. There were several maintenance issues that need to be resolved though. If you are planning to fish from the pier, know that it has no lighting, the boat lift doesn’t work (which we needed due to the water being rough), and it is missing boards and damaged on one side. There also are no chairs, water toys, or beach items of any kind that you usually find at rental home. We did enjoy our stay but would have enjoyed it more if these items had not been an issue.

What a week at the Chic!

My husband and I absolutely loved this house. We had plenty of room for others, but needed this time for ourselves since we were celebrating our 26th anniversary. We sat on the covered back porch with coffee, fished off the private covered pier, and walked along the bay looking for shells. We had perfect weather! This cottage is a perfect getaway. If you fish and you do not have a boat it is very shallow here. I wish it had been a little deeper but that did not prevent us from giving this place five stars. We will definitely stay there again. Oh, and no grill, but we carried our own small griddle and bought grouper and shrimp. Dockside blackened shrimp didn't disappoint either! Wonderful place and pretty private except for neighbors working the crabs but that was rather interesting in itself.

The sunsets were beautiful as well as the sunrise, beautiful scenery and very comfortable place to stay. Will definitely stay again, will bring a boat with a smaller draft, the water is pretty shallow at the dock. But had a great stay

The house was very roomy and comfortable, the beds were very nice, it was very well stocked with necessities. AC was excellent, no issues cooling the house. Kudos for the SPOTLESS condition of entire house, especially bathrooms and laundry room. Very well done. Will definitely recommend.

Nice property, well furnished. Little bit of ways from the Gulf; right on Bay side. Golf cart rental made getting to Gulf beach easy. Quick response on maintenance call for slow draining tubs. Good vacation, recommended.
