Excellently located for ski and snowboarding holidays, La Cachette B&B is in an authentic alpine village house, lovingly renovated. A private entry and living area, 3 bedrooms with showers and 2 WCs, sleeping up to 8 people in luxury beds.

A B&B, La Cachette is like your own apartment in the lower two floors of the house, with attentive yet discreet services. We provide breakfast items and organise a daily fresh baguette delivery, we provide cotton linen, towels and organic shower gel. Cleaning is before your stay and after your departure. Additional cleaning can be organised for during the week at a supplement.

6 mins to Sainte Foy resort (free shuttle), 6 mins to Villaroger - Les Arcs (Paradiski), 10 mins to Tignes Les Brevières (Espace Killy), 20 mins to Val d'Isère, 20 mins to Tignes le Lac and 25 mins to La Rosière/Italy.

The bedrooms, nestled in the heart of the house and furnished with luxury sprung mattresses, almost guarantee a good night's undisturbed sleep. "Lake" is a double room (1-2p) and "Leaf" is a king double and/or family room (1-4p), on the lower level. “Berry” is a twin/superking bedroom on the upper level. They are simply furnished and decorated in soft plaster and wood. The bedding is feather, the linen pure, crisp cotton. Each bedroom has a shower, washbasin and radiator.

Our guests' living area, of about 35m2, is spacious, comfortable and practical. Access is via the balcony, leading into a comfortable seating area (2 sofas, 2 giant beanbags, a leather armchair, coffee table, WiFi, flat screen+dvd, books, games, films) and a well-equipped kitchenette (microwave, 4-ring hob, mini-oven, fridge, dishwasher, table and chairs). A radiator keeps the space warm, while the wood stove offers additional warmth and beauty.

Always included are:
- Breakfast, cotton linen & towels, organic shower gel.

Perfect!

Very nice appartment!! Perfect for two families of four. Nice bedrooms, a little kitchen, clean and very cosy. We were skiing in val d'isere, worked perfect going by car. Would love to come again:)

Perfect alpine retreat!

We spent a wonderful week at La Cachette - it is a lovely chalet that easily accommodated our group of 8 (4 adults and 4 children). We skied at Sainte-Foy and it was an easy 5 minute drive or quick trip up on the free shuttle bus. There was always a roaring fire and delicious baked treats on our return - a big highlight for the kids. Victoria cooked amazing meals for us twice and we could also prepare our own meals comfortably in the kitchenette. A great find and would definitely recommend a stay at La Cachette.

An absolutely wonderful stay in the French Alps

We (my wife and two children, 5 & 7 along with close friends, husband, wife and two children, 10 & 8) stayed at La Cachette from December 29 through to January 4 and had an absolutely incredible time. Olivier and Victoria were great hosts, super helpful and very enthusiastic about the area, the food, the culture, and most importantly, the skiing! Victoria ensured that we were never hungry, preparing awesome baked goods to find upon our return from the ski hill, along with a roaring fire, and Olivier entertained with great stories from the slopes and tips on where to go the following day. The beds were super comfortable, and despite there being 8 of us in the chalet, there was never a sense of tripping over one another. The kids enjoyed curling up together on sofas and bean bag cushions to watch the Never Ending Story, E.T. and other awesome 80's flicks, it was such a great time! We ate with Victoria and Olivier twice including NYE and she prepared a meal for us for take away, each time was superb and well worth it, in addition to presenting an excellent opportunity to immerse ourselves in local cuisine. Val d'Isere and Tignes are a short but stunning 20 minute drive up the mountain from the chalet, a car is necessary at this chalet and well worth using to explore some of the neighbouring towns and villages in the valley on a possible day off. Thank you thank you Victoria and Olivier, we had a wonderful stay and you were both so incredibly helpful, we would not hesitate to recommend this chalet to anyone, I can't say enough great things about it.

2019 family ski trip

My wife, my 3 daughters and I had a really terrific 3 days and 3 nights using La Chachette as our home base for skiing in Val D'Isere. La Cachette is an authentic French village experience. The house is cozy and warm, and there was plenty of space. Victoria is a wonderful hostess and made sure we were comfortable and cared for throughout our stay. Two weeks after our stay, I asked my daughters what their favorite meals were while we were in Europe. The breakfasts at La Cachette were their first response. Overall, I would highly recommend the Sante's home to anyone looking for a cultural experience in the French Alps.

Un bijou dans une cachette !

Samedi 5 mars 2015. Notre semaine de vacances se termine. Cette " cachette" tout confort est un petit bijou où l'on se sent si bien ! Le salon, les chambres avec leurs douches respectives , le coin cuisine, la cheminée ... Tout est organisé pour que l'on se sente chez soi, chacun ayant son intimité , avec un accueil chaleureux de Victoria et Olivier ( fin cuisinier!) , aussi discrets qu'efficaces. Ce sont des hôtes merveilleux qui ont fait de notre séjour un moment inoubliable . Idéalement situé par rapport aux stations de ski ( à 6 minutes en voiture ou en navette gratuite de la station la plus proche !) , la Cachette est également l'endroit parfait ( et toujours impeccable, le ménage étant fait quotidiennement en notre absence!) pour se reposer après l'effort devant un bon feu de cheminée et un délicieux goûter ,chaque jour différent , préparé par Victoria . Nous y retournerons avec un immense plaisir !

Authentic Chalet Experience

Vicky & Olivier were such fantastic hosts and offer a beautifully cosy chalet with some amazing Savoie food and wine coupled with insider knowledge money cannot buy. I can't wait to go again!

Family ski-ing holiday at La Cachette

Victoria and Olivier provided us with a wonderful welcome at their lovely spacious and beautifully furnished chalet in the Tarantaise Valley. It was the perfect spot to explore all of the great ski areas the valley has to offer. The chalet was charming, very comfortable for our family of 2 adults and 3 teenagers and the Hypnos beds were absolute heaven to sleep in! The children loved Victoria's home made cakes that were waiting for them on their return from the slopes! We chose to share a number of meals with Victoria and Olivier. They were the perfect hosts. Wonderful local food and great company. Olivier also took us all ski-ing as a family for 3 days combining a mixture of lessons and ski-guiding to explore the great variety of resorts that are on offer. Olivier has an absolute passion for the mountains and the children loved ski-ing with him. We so enjoyed our week at La Cachette and very much hope to return next year. Thank you Victoria and Olivier.

Amazing, Exceeded all expectations

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel extremely welcome. The apartment is very tastefully furnished and so comfortable (especially the 5* beds), coming back to a lit fire and homemade treats at the end of a busy day on the slopes was fantastic. Freshly baked croissants, home made conserves for breakfast and locally sourced delicious evening meals on some evenings were all superb. No snow Ste Foy was no problem - Olivier and Vicky had us sorted with Ski hire and passes for Espace Killy within hours of our arrival and that was where we spent the week. We skied with Olivier - his instruction for all of us perfect, his extensive experience and patience meant that we all progressed much more than we expected. The real beauty of this holiday was the access to local knowledge, had we stayed anywhere else we may have been stuck with a snow free Christmas but Olivier an Vicky ensured that we got as much out of the holiday as was possible. While other people were stuck in 10 mile traffic jams trying to get out of the resorts, we were drinking local wine accompanied by local cheeses and of course the entertainment of Oliviers "confessions of a ski instructor". Recommendations for places to eat were also always spot on. We are already planning our trip for next year and hope to make use of the opportunity to ski in several of the local resorts with Olivier. Thank you both.

Better than hoped for -a real gem

The apartment was beautiful and bigger than we expected. Both Vicky and Olivier made us feel very welcome and the food and Oliviers local wines were amazing. We loved the skiing at Sainte Foy but really enjoyed our evenings round the fire playing games too. Ate one evening at Chez Merie which was brilliant and also had pizza takeaway - also great. A fab time !
