About Mark or Katrina Martin
The hosts are a friendly couple named Mark and Katrina. They have been happily married for 15 years, and are thrilled to now live on their own little slice of heaven. They are both from all over California. Mark grew up on a farm, and Katrina grew up in the suburbs. They moved together from Southern California to the Asheville area in 2014 and recently bought their dream property here in Flat Rock, in the summer of 2018. They are excited to grow some green thumbs, and eventually want to make room for chickens, pygmy goats, baby doll sheep, a miniature donkey, and a miniature highland cow! Hosts' 1920's brick home is approximately 200 feet away from the barn house, mostly hidden behind trees. You might see them out tending to the garden or walking their dog, but they are very respectful of your privacy, and will interact as much or as little as you prefer.

Well, the info and photos on this Blue Ridge Mountain property did not disappoint in the slightest! Stepping out of the car, we were welcomed by the tinkling melodies of a dozen wind chimes, singing in the fresh breeze. Of course next we heard the rushing of the Hungry River, as it swept through the acres of budding trees, blooming plantlife and stone pathways. I could've stayed, soaking it in with all my senses, on the rocking chaired front porch indefinitely. There appears all over the land, metal ornaments handmade by locals, showcasing their rustic charm. As soon as we entered the shabby chic barnhouse we were struck by the level of hard work was put into creating such an inviting yet neat as a pin interior. Rooms full of solid wooden furniture pieces alongside silky soft textures of bedding and seating, topped with cozy blankets & cuddly fabric throw pillows. The animal art on the walls was kwirky & darling next to interesting designs of windowframe mirrors. Around every corner lighthearted knick knacks & fun antiquey items filled the spaces. So much personality spilling from one area to the next! The flowery dishes and colorful bakeware were new, appliances all useful & easy to use. As we absorb
