Retiro de cuatro vientos en el río verde

Four Winds Retreat está ubicado a solo tres millas de la Interestatal 26, pero sentirás que has llegado a una encantadora cala aislada a orillas del hermoso río Verde. Tan pronto como llegue, escuchará la corriente del río y cuando suba las escaleras hasta la maravillosa cubierta apreciará no solo el río, sino también las hermosas vistas a la montaña.

La cabina Four Winds es una cabina recientemente renovada que se construyó a partir de troncos de álamo cosechados en la propiedad. Se ha tenido mucho cuidado para preservar el encanto rústico de la cabina original al tiempo que ofrece todas las comodidades modernas que son muy bienvenidas en nuestro día a día. La cabina ofrece un dormitorio principal con una cama queen y baño privado completo. Un segundo dormitorio ofrece dos camas dobles y un baño completo al final del pasillo. Nuestro tercer dormitorio está en nuestro sótano recién terminado y tiene dos camas queen y un baño completo. Además, en el sótano, tenemos una hermosa sala de estar con una mesa llena de juegos para la diversión familiar, áreas para disfrutar de la lectura y cómodos asientos para apreciar las hermosas vistas a las montañas y al río. El estudio de arriba es acogedor y cómodo con una hermosa chimenea de piedra y una televisión por satélite cuando sienta la necesidad de conectarse con el mundo exterior. La cocina está completamente equipada para todas sus necesidades culinarias, o simplemente diríjase a la encantadora Saluda y disfrute de las encantadoras experiencias gastronómicas que ofrecen.

This was our second stay at The Four Winds, but our first after Hurricane Helene devastated the Green River Cove area. The house is still a fantastic place to stay, and now has a better view of the river due to trees being taken out by the storm. We enjoyed the large front deck, the quaint back deck, and fire pit area. The three bedrooms and three bathrooms gave us plenty of space to spread out. The downstairs bedroom might be considered noisy for some due to the hum of the mechanical equipment, but was perfect for someone like me with tinnitus! Anne is a terrific host, and we look forward to returning in 2026.

Great Getaway Location - Lots of Space

The cabin was very spacious and in the perfect location for our tubing plans. We enjoyed sitting on the front deck and listening to the river. After tubing, we headed to Hendersonville for the Apple Festival. It was a fun trip; we would do it again.

Love this house!

Great location. Fully stocked for 7 adults (2 in their 80s) to comfortably hang out and enjoy the area. Good beds. Large kitchen and dining area to accomodate us. Very responsive host. Love this area of western NC. HIghly recommend this house.

Relaxing stay at Four Winds

The stairs leading up to the front door were a great workout for 3 65+ women. The home was warm, inviting and provided private bedrooms and bathrooms which was a treat. We had everything we needed and then some. The art work was impressive. Was a great place to relax and recharge. Would have loved to have had access to the river, but sitting on the front porch listening to the water was the next best thing. Would definitely stay here again.

Excellent Cabin!!!!

We absolutely loved our stay at The Four Winds retreat. The location was amazing, the cabin had EVERYTHING we needed! We loved drinking coffee in the morning listening to river. We loved having s’mores and cocktails at the fire pit in the evening and we loved our float with Wilderness Cove float company. We could not have asked for a easier, better rental experience. We have decided to make it an annual trip! Can’t wait to be back next year.

Great Cabin in a fantastic location

We were looking for something very clean and with a few amenities such as internet. Everything was exactly as posted on VRBO. Anne did a great job of responding to questions. Location was perfect for us. About 20-30 minutes from Henderson or Chimney Rock. I love that the river is across the street and you can sit on the front porch and listen to it. We had a fire in the fire pit, the location of the fire pit is great because it cuts down on the wind. We will definitely be visiting again.

Perfect for our kayaking vacation

Great location for Green River activities! Very Spacious. Fully stocked with everything-- LOTS of kitchen items (dishes, pots/pans, seasonings, cooking appliances, dishtowels, dish soap, foil, etc) plenty of towels and linens, paper towels and toilet paper provided, some DVDs, puzzles, and books, new washer & dryer, portable fans in each of the bedroom closets, a/c worked great, owner sent helpful/informative email before our stay to help us plan well, easy "check-in", and more. Practical tips: many hairpin turns going up/down the mountain, poison ivy is everywhere in the summer so school everyone on how to spot it (Thankfully, it was mentioned in the welcome book so we were aware), The Brick Pizzeria is 19 min away and is so yummy, get groceries on your way to the cabin. We had a fabulous time and were pleased with the cabin.

Beautiful house, windy road.

2 families could stay here. It was a perfect place. The river was wonderful, but the road to get there is nothing but switch backs. What can you expect getting to a river on a mountain. I loved it though. Great host. All in all, 5 stars. For us, we had an elderly person and 2 small children. The only things I'd like to add. If you have small children the deck is concerning. I would have enjoyed it so much more if there was a gate and some wire or something. Child safety. And there are lots of stairs but Grandma was able to do them, no problem.

Perfect Family Get Away!

Four Winds cabin was perfect for our family! Clean, great location, and fully stocked with everything we needed. There was enough room for everyone to sleep comfortably. Three bathrooms with showers was a major plus! We enjoyed sitting on the porch listening to the river, watching fireflies at night, and stargazing. We made use of the games and puzzles. There are so many options for outdoor activities. Tubing was a blast and we played in the river a little upstream. There is access to the river across the street. A little steep but there are steps and a rope to help you down. Next time we rent here we will make sure to stop at the store before the descent down the mountain. Lots of hairpin turns. We had so much fun and hope to return soon! Thank you!

This was the perfect place for a mountain weekend getaway! We were very comfortable with 4 adults and 5 children ranging from 8 months to 6 years old. The house is in a great, private location but it is also close enough to various towns. We are hoping to make this an annual (at least) trip!

Thanksgiving Cabin

Our stay was very nice. Perfect little cabin. The creek was awesome. My teenagers loved the nature and loved having their own space downstairs. We enjoyed having a full stocked kitchen. We were able to have Thanksgiving Dinner at the cabin.

Quite stay

We had a fabulous time here at Four Winds! Very quiet and peaceful. Enjoyed the front overlooking river. But beware of all the switchbacks that you have to go through to get to the property. Probably takes 10 minutes both up and down mountain.

Perfect weekend down by the river!

Great house and very close proximity to charming downtown Saluda, hiking, and apple orchards. We had the best time fishing down the road from the house and just hanging down by the river. Access right across the street!

Perfection and an easy drive-way!

We come every year to the area but are always trying different homes as there's always something we don't like about it. This year we found the perfect home and I almost don't want to write a review because I don't want anyone else to know! The home is so very cozy but still spacious. Tons of perfect reading spots inside and out. The balcony has a great view and you can hear the river running nearby. The driveway is very easy to pull into for this Florida family but be aware there a healthy number of switchbacks you'll need to drive every time you leave or return to the house. There was an abundance of basic items and firewood. I always pack a little bag of basics when we travel because we don't know what the home will have but I didn't need to use any of it. There were tons of puzzles and games that we had fun using and no one even turned on the TV once which is quite a feat with kids in the group. We all agreed this home is perfect and we can't wait to return.

We love this place

We've gone to this cabin 3 years in a row and we absolutely love it. It is a great location right near river nice and secluded but close enough to different areas that it makes a great location for a family trip. Highly recommend and plan on going back again soon

House was wonderful! Very cozy but with a lot of space. Kids especially loved tubing and fishing in the river. Have normally stayed close to downtown Saluda but decided to try this one to be closer to the river for the kids, and it was a great decision! Property owner and property manager were a joy to deal with, with very quick responses. Perfect place to stay for all ages
