“Discovering a whole island by bike. Relaxing on my favorite beach. Enjoying great food at restaurants close by. Digital detox (yeah!). And thanks for all the fish!”

Our cosy house is located in the middle of the Oléron island. It has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and sleeps up to 7 people.

The ground floor is an open plan setting with spacious living room and adjoining kitchen/dining area.

We have a small enclosed backyard garden with a terrace which gives you an agreeable outdoor space for barbecues and relaxing.

We have one bathroom upstairs with a shower and a loo, 1 separate toilet downstairs and one bathroom downstairs with a shower.

The bedrooms are equipped with:
- Master bedroom a double bed (160x200cm)
- Second bedroom with a double bed (160x200cm)
- 1 bedroom with a single bed (90x200) and a bunk bed (2 x 90cm x 190cm)

And if you visit during winter time, we do have a wood burning stove that will ensure a cosy atmosphere and warm you up quickly after a windswept walk on the beach.

sehr schönes Haus mittig der Insel

Wir waren zu fünft, zeitweise zu siebt, in dem schönen Haus zu Gast. Der Check-in verlief sehr unkompliziert und die höfliche Concierge kam abends noch vorbei, um mögliche Fragen zu klären. Sie war sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich.Das Haus ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Vor allem die Küche lässt keine Wünsche offen. Wir haben jeden Tag zum Frühstück und Abendessen auf der gemütlichen Terrasse gesessen und den Außenplatz sehr genossen.Wir haben uns auch beim zweiten Besuch hier sehr wohlgefühlt und werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen!

Abschalten im Vogelparadies

Unsere Familie hat sich ausgesprochen wohl gefühlt in eurer wunderschön und praktisch eingerichteten Wohnung inmitten der Natur! Wir haben hier die Ruhe gefunden um vom Arbeits- und Schulalltag abzustellen. Alles gemäss eurem Beschrieb: ein kleines Paradies! Die täglichen Fahrradtouren ans Meer und das Wetter hat die Ferienwoche zu einem wunderschönen Erlebnis gemacht!

Maison située dans un quartier très calme, non loin du centre de St Pierre d’Oléron; à proximité directe d’une piste cyclable. Le logement dispose de toutes les commodités utiles pour passer un agréable séjour. Nous n’avons pas été déçus et recommandons sans réserve cette location.

Très agréable séjour

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour. Nous nous sommes sentis très bien dans cette maison chaleureuse, et lumineuse grâce à la belle terrasse. Les couchages sont très très confortables. L’environnement immédiat est calme et typique d’Oléron. L’accès à la piste cyclable devant la maison est vraiment chouette. Le fait de pouvoir garer les vélos sur la terrasse est très pratique. La boîte à clés est une bonne idée lorsque l’on veut être indépendant les uns des autres et ne pas égarer les clés. La mise à disposition d’un vrai jeu de pétanque, d’un grand parapluie au cas où, de tout ce qu’il faut en cuisine et j’en oublie certainement sont des plus pour nos plaisirs de vacanciers. Le wifi fonctionne parfaitement bien dans la maison et c’est tant mieux car la 4G peine un peu sur l’île. La communication avec Sébastien, l’hôte, est immédiate, efficace et m’a aidée à résoudre quelques difficultés de réservation. Je l’en remercie encore ! Merci aussi pour cette bonne bouteille de pays offerte à l’arrivée ! Les petites choses que l’on a moins aimées : les coussins de la cuisine qui nécessairement ne peuvent être parfaitement propres ainsi que les deux fauteuils d’appoint du salon qui sont blancs mais ont du mal à le rester. Nous aurions aussi apprécié pouvoir laisser nos poubelles dans les bacs jusqu’au prochain passage des éboueurs (comme les précédents vacanciers l’avaient fait) et ne pas devoir nous rendre aux conteneurs (qui sont cependant proches de la maison). Ceci dit, bien évidemment, cela n’enlève rien à notre impression générale qui a été très bonne!

En cours de saison, il est bien possible que nous n’ayons toutefois pas remarqué quelques petites dégradations. Pour les poubelles, c‘est un malentendu. Il est probablement dû au fait que nous n’avons pas actualisé la „check list“ de départ pour refléter le fait que nous avons depuis peu un bac jaune. Excellente location

Jolie petite maison avec terrasse, proprement entretenue. Bien équipée, située au calme dans le petit hameau de la Boirie. Literie et sanitaires impeccables. A refaire sans hésiter en famille jusqu'à 7 personnes sans problème. Agréable maison pour vacances en famille réussies !

Belle propriété, fonctionnelle et agréable à vivre. La terrasse est un vrai plus pendant la belle saison et la maison reste fraîche pendant les semaines de canicule. Situation idéale pour parcourir l'île à vélo. Proximité avec Saint-Pierre d'Oléron pour faire les courses (marché quotidien et commerces). Merci Sébastien, Michaela et Sophie !

Kleines Paradies

Wir haben 5 wunderbare Sommertage hier verbringen dürfen. Das Haus blieb immer angenehm kühl, die Matratzen sind super, die Lage ist sehr ruhig, wir haben bestens geschlafen. Die Küche ist vollständig eingerichtet, wir haben nichts vermisst. Kleiner, schön bepflanzter Innenhof in dem es sich zu jeder Tageszeit angenehm sitzt. Und wenn man doch lieber drinnen ist: die Sofa -Ecke ist auch sehr gemütlich. Wir sind zu den Stränden immer mit unseren Fahrrädern gefahren und haben zum Plage de Saumonards je nach Windrichtung 35 -45 min gebraucht. Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen, wir würden gerne wieder kommen!

Wunderbar

Wir haben 2 sehr schöne Wochen in diesem ruhig gelegenen Haus verbracht und noch nie so bequeme Betten in einem Ferienhaus gehabt. Es ist alles vorhanden, was man für einen Familienurlaub braucht. Insbesondere der Innenhof/die Terrasse ist sehr schön. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Trés agréable petite maison

Super séjour au cœur d un petit hameau. prés du centre village de St pierre d'oléron et à coté des marrés de l Eguille . Petite maison chaleureuse, très bien équipée où on à passé des soirées devant le poêle a bois (séjour en Novembre). Le temps nous a permis de faire de magnifique balades à vélo et de profiter des plages. Nous recommandons vivement ce petit havre de paix et de repos !

Super séjour

Maison très agréable, lumineuse et chaleureuse. Séjour en novembre avec le poêle à bois le soir pour une ambiance conviviale. Je recommande vivement cette petite location dans un hameau calme entre St Pierre d Oléron et ses magnifiques marees, idéale pour de jolies balades à vélo.

Starry Nights

Now let’s get this straight from the very beginning: this is not a vacation home, it is a “loose your soul home”! Loose it to the one billion and one stars which drop onto you when at midnight all the street lights are turned off. Loose it to the endless beaches To the unknown silence. Loose it to the wide fields inhabited by bales of straw, herons, horses, donkeys To the charm of a little backyard fragrant of herbs Loose it to a warm, most tender pain au chocolat To a croissant, if you prefer… Loose it and find it again On your return. Ok, ok. You want facts. (Though I must say, all the things mentioned above ARE facts!) My family spent in this very welcoming and from bottom to top best equipped house one week at the end of June. The kitchen provides ALL you need: electric kettle, a moka pot (my husband is Italian, so this was crucial :-)), lemon squeezer, garlic press, … a half moon to chop your herbs, freshly picked in the backyard of the house, where you can enjoy a most wonderful petit- déjeuner with pain au chocolat you can get - still warm - every morning from the bakery, only a 5 minutes bike ride away from the house. If you are a large family the two bathrooms come in handy (one of them with a separate toilet). Yes, there is a TV, but we NEVER turned it on and we have two teenage kids! Two umbrellas for the beach are at your disposition as well as a set for “boules” to play at the camp at a distance of only a 10 minutes walk. You can rent bikes at a close by place (25 minutes walk) to discover each day a different village, a different beach, from the ones with surfing waves to the calm ones. Plenty of material (brochures, guides etc) is in the house about bike routes on the island, touristic attractions, restaurants... PS: For those who can’t manage without their virtual life, in the bedroom with the starfish pictures on the wall, next to the window you have quite a good reception; just enough to post a picture or two every day; jealousy guaranteed….. :-)

5 jours sur Oleron fin octobre

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour sur l'ile d'Oléron fin octobre, le temps clément nous a permit de visiter les marais proches de la Boirie, les plages et le phare sous le soleil (les vélos mis à disposition sont d'un autre age ;) ). Dégustation d'huitres et coquillages. La location est agréable, lumineuse et très bien équipée, couchages de bonne qualité. Une bouteille de Pineau nous attendait, merci aux propriétaires. Pas besoin de venir avec son sel et poivre pour cuisiner, c'est pas toujours le cas! Les herbes du jardin sont également à disposition. Une flambée en fin de journée avec le poêle à bois est bien agréable à cette saison. Même remarques que d'autres sur le pommeau de douche au plafond à l'étage sans douchette et le fait de devoir faire les lits avant le départ alors que le tarif ménage est habituel pour ce genre de location... et le wifi absent! (pas clair dans l'annonce) Déconnexion salutaire mais nos ados ne s'en remettront pas ;). En conclusion: très bon séjour, de beaux souvenirs et de belles photos.

Merci beaucoup Bruno pour cette excellente appréciation. Nous nous réjouissons que vous ayez passé un bon séjour. Concernant la "douchette" inexistante dans la salle d'eau du premier étage: nous avons constaté dans beaucoup de locations ou nous avons passé des vacances que cette douchette est souvent en mauvais état. Afin d’éviter le même sort, nous avons opté pour un modèle nécessitant moins de maintenance. Quant à l'absence de WIFI, j’espère que vos enfants ne sont pas trop traumatisés d'avoir passé 5 jours au calme à l'ancienne ;-) Bien que l'absence de WIFI soit claire dans l'annonce (notre annonce n’apparaît pas dans les résultats de recherche quand on filtre "avec WIFI" ou "avec internet"), afin que les prochains locataires n'aient aucun doute sur l'absence de connectivité internet, nous avons rajouté une ligne dans la description de la maison. Le ménage et le linge sont bien inclus dans la prestation. Nous prions juste les locataires de faire les lits comme indiqué dans l'annonce. Bien cordialement, Sébastien et Michaela.

Sehr schöner Familienurlaub in toller Unterkunft

Wir haben uns sofort sehr wohl gefühlt im sehr gemütlich eingerichteten Ferienhaus in La Boirie, man fühlt sich tatsächlich wie in einem kleinen Paradies fernab vom Trubel. Trotzdem ist man schnell mit einem der bereitgestellten Fahrräder oder mit den selbst mitgebrachten im Zentrum von St. Pierre, um dort beim Bäcker oder auf dem Markt lecker einzukaufen. Oft haben wir dann auch auf der gemütlichen Terrasse im idyllischen Hinterhof gegessen, wo es wunderbar nach den vielen dort angepflanzten Kräutern duftet. Wir haben bei super Wetter einen sehr schönen Familienurlaub auf der Ile d'Oleron verbracht. Dabei haben wir fast jeden Tag einen der vielen Strände besucht. Besonders toll fanden wir dabei, dass wir immer wieder zwischen dem wilderen Meer im Westen und dem ruhigeren Meer im Nord-Osten abwechseln konnten. Die Vermieter haben immer sehr schnell auf alle Anfragen reagiert und sogar zusätzliche Wünsche erfüllt. Vielen Dank nochmal an Michaela und Sébastien!

Schönes Ferienhaus in ruhiger Lage am Rande von St. Pierre

Etwa außerhalb von St. Pierre (Zentrum) befindet sich – in einem kleinen Weiler namens La Boirie – das Ferienhaus „Le petit paradis“. Das Ferienhaus ist geräumig und bietet im offen gestalteten Erdgeschoss mit Wohnzimmer/Küche/Essbereich inkl. Bad und sep. Toilette viel Platz. Auf der kleinen Terrasse im Innenhof sitzt man gemütlich zum Essen oder einfach nur Relaxen. Im Obergeschoss sind drei Schlafzimmer sowie ein großzügiges Bad. Das Haus ist liebevoll eingerichtet und sehr gut ausgestattet (Küche, Grill, Spülmaschine, Waschmaschine, etc.). Mit den vorhandenen Fahrrädern kann man eben schnell zum Bäcker oder Markt radeln (ca. 1km) oder die Insel erkunden. Die dem Atlantik zugewandten Strände – insbesondere Strandabschnitte von Le Grand-Village-Plage (perfekt zum Bodyboarden), Plages des Huttes, Plages des Seulieres, Plage de Chaucre – haben uns sehr gut gefallen und waren in unserer Reisezeit (Mitte Juli bis Anfang August) angenehm überschaubar „belegt“. Wir haben zwei sehr schöne und erholsame Ferienwochen auf der Île d’Oléron verbracht. Vielen Dank dafür an Michaela und Sébastien, die im Vorfeld schnell auf unsere Anfrage reagiert und bei Fragen einfach und unkompliziert zu erreichen waren (eMail/SMS).

The "Ile d'Oléron" is one of Sébastien's favourite childhood locations. Buying a house there only seemed natural. The island has so much to offer, that we are positive we will be enjoying it for many years to come!
