Casa Tres Pochotes - Beach Front Paradise

This fantastic property is one of the few true beachfront homes available in Esterillos Oeste. Designed for couples, groups, or families, it offers ample space to gather, entertain, and enjoy cozy afternoons in the spacious living room. The expansive patio and deck with a private pool look directly onto Esterillos Oeste Beach, just steps from the front of the home. With four bathrooms and three bedrooms, all located on the second floor, each room opens to its own balcony overlooking the ocean.
The space
The spacious deck offers a relaxing plunge perfect for cooling off after an afternoon of surfing, shelling, or just walking on the spectacular beach. This beach is perfect for a variety of activities, whether you want to pick up new hobbies or master the ones you already love, it offers world class surfing, boogie boarding, and swimming.
You can literally walk for miles in either direction along the beach and enjoy breathtaking sunrises and sunsets. The west end of the village features a unique lava reef, that emerges at low tide forming natural pools and showcasing the famous mermaid statue. The east side gives the town its name, thanks to the estuary, which is also an excellent spot for fishing.

Tres Pochotes offers 3 bedrooms and four bathrooms:

Bedroom 1, 2 & 3: Each includes a comfortable king bed, a balcony, and a small closet.
One of the rooms also includes a safety deposit box.

Bathroom 2, 3 & 4

Two bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms. The third bathroom is across the hall from the middle bedroom. There is also a full bathroom downstairs. There is an outdoor shower where you can rinse off the sand when you come back from surfing or playing on the beach. It's refreshing.

We also offer a laundry room.

Tres Pochotes is not just a house, it’s a cozy paradise for nature lovers. The property is frequently visited by scarlet macaws and occasionally by capuchin monkeys or even sloths. This is a great spot if you want to connect with Costa Rica’s rich natural beauty.

House was exactly what we wanted and needed. Loved the beach right outside the back door. Epectricity is a little sketchy and you cant use too many things at a time but you get use to it. Our property manager was amazing and always available for any questions and suggestions. Would absolutely come back here if we come back to costa rica

House is clean, well-maintained, fully equipped, and right on the beach. Esterillos Oeste is a nice beach village with several restaurants and a nice grocery store. We don’t surf but the local surf break appears to be right out front and the tide pools are a short walk. The outdoor shower was great to rinse off with after a day at the beach and the pool was perfect for our boys to play in. The host was extremely responsive with all of our questions. We had an amazing time with our 4 boys and really couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

Great beach house!

We really enjoyed our stay at the beach house. The location was excellent and couldn’t be any closer to the beach. The house is also close to Jaco and other towns with many restaurants nearby. We enjoyed seeing and hearing the parrots fly by in the mornings!

Perfect Spot by the Beach and Local Sodas

The house was perfect and was very welcoming and had all the necessities needed. The rooms are located on the second floor with a balcony which allowed you to see the sunrise and sunset as well as watch the local fishermen coming in and count with their catches for sale. The dark sand and warm water was welcoming with a lot of wildlife to see and enjoy. The people are very friendly and patient with tourists and all the food was amazing. Perfect location close enough to still enjoy Manuel Antonio and Quepos as well, we definitely will be back!

Stately, yellow house by the beach

We enjoyed our stay in the stately yellow house by the beach. We appreciated the big water container made ready for our use upon arrival. We were impressed with all the built-ins and the sturdiness of the house. The ACs were efficient and each person could set their optimum temperatures in their bedroom. The beach and the water were wonderful. We highly recommend.

What a wonderful property. Located on the best stretch of beach. Enjoyed the quiet area. A severe storm disrupted electricity and water for a short time but all inconveniences were taken care of quickly by the staff. Would definitely stay there again.

Best Vaca Ever

We absolutely loved the location of this home on the beach. Keylor was especially helpful with all of our needs and excursions. Not far from waterfalls, monkey mangrove tour, and catamaran tour. We are wanting to go back during Xmas break. Definitely 5 stars for us!

I am not sure I can say enough good things about the property? The listing is very accurate. It is a gorgeous home located in a very nice, quiet location. The beach is steps away and the scenery is beautiful. Of all of the places I have stayed and visited, this one is at the top of the list. There are food options within walking distance, markets very close by and more activities than you can do!With all of the above stated, the service the team provided was the best I have ever received! They assisted me in planning every aspect of the trip. Not only did they provide a list of suggestions, they also helped get reservations and iron out details. I have never had service at this level and for this reason, will return to CR and stay with them again.

The perfect spot.

I’ve stayed at the Casa Amarilla 3 different times now. One with couples. Another with my wife and kids for two full weeks and then this past week bringing my brothers and dad down for a surf trip. It’s always been perfect for us for every kind of adventure. We will be back soon! Be sure to visit my good friend Jorge at Aloha surf just around the corner! For dinner go to Don Toro and hopefully you score a good swell.

Perfect family beach house

This is the perfect beach house - my teen daughters and my folks (in their 70’s) all agree. Steps from the beach, comfortable beds, a well appointed kitchen, and ample space for relaxation inside and out - including a pool. The location is wonderful- just south of the party hub of Jaco and north of the crowded Manuel Antonio - yet plenty to do. Excellent local restaurants, surf lessons literally 30 yards away and a well stocked grocery store a block away. I could stay here for months and be completely content.

Wonderful Time!

We loved our time at this beautiful beachfront home. The pool was perfect after walking and playing on the beach. We loved having Jorge, the lifeguard and surf instructor, there right in front of our house. Communication with Keylor was super helpful. We felt very happy, taken care of, and comfortable . Paradise

Flocks of parrots, beach walk with monkeys and a coatis, — family friendly beach with fun waves to jump in that turns into a a fantastic surf extravaganza with the tide. Restaurants steps away, local grocer that carries nice veg selection and even tofu! Kitchen fully stocked - fun dipping pool to cool off or cannon ball over and over. The rustic charm of this place cannot be overstated. Make sure to get your colones on the way. The nearest exchange is at least 25 min drive. Some venders only take cash

We found this special place in 2001 and built Tres Pochotes three years later. Avid surfers and beach celebrants, we return to paradise from our home in Colorado as often as we can. At low tide, be sure to visit La Sirena, a majestic bronze sentinel just down the beach, jutting out of the Pacific and facing the exquisite horizon. We are excited for La sirena to be returned to her rightful spot after damaged by surf with subsequent repairs. Stay tuned!
The comfort and functionality of our house in a tropical beachfront setting with its responsive property management by Danny and Felipe make this a perfect and carefree vacation experience.
There are very few properties available that sit on a worldclass surfbreak such as Esterillos Oeste. The opportunity to watch the waves from the house and paddle out when the tide fills in, or when the wind backs off, is hard to beat. While other stellar breaks such as Boca Barranca, Hermosa and Bejuco are easy drives from the house, the ability to walk right out of your door into the lineup is priceless.

For non surfers, the birdwatching is spectacular from the decks and patio. The daily evening roosting of parrots in the trees on the property is always a special event. Chilling out in a hammock with a good book and long walks on vast stretches of beach at low tide are other simple activities that bring in the local vibe which is tranquilo.

What makes this property unique

Property managers, Danny and Felipe, are bilingual locals who live nearby They are available for any questions or assistance. They are happy to make any reservations for you including surf lessons, board rentals, zipline tours, horseback riding on the beach or to a waterfall, rappelling on a waterfall, river rafting, monkey mangrove tours, full day catamaran tours to Tortuga Island and more. They can also arrange for a masseuse to come to the house for a massage inside or on the patio, or even on the beach. They would be happy to arrange for a local chefs to come to the house to prepare a typical meal. Price depends on the menu and number of people.
