Everything was laid out perfectly. The setting was gorgeous. The service was impeccable. The location was wonderful. Downtown Somerville is gorgeous as well. Had a great time as was proximity to Charleston. Thank you so much for the wonderful accommodations. Highly recommend!
Absolutely beautiful charming cottage pictures dont do it justice! Very clean and cozy, front screened porch perfect for coffee in the morning or in evenings wonderful family trip, perfect location for near Charleston attractions and lots of antique shops
If you are looking for a respite thats beautiful, clean, and quiet, this is the one. Summerville has great food and you can do your laundry if needed. Definitely the cleanest most beautiful vrbo we've stayed in.
This little cabin was just perfect for my husband and myself. Very clean and updated. Great front screened in porch to sit on in the evening to relax. Close to everything. Summerville is such a cute small town with nice restaurants and parks. Will definitely rent it the next time we come in town.
This cottage was perfect for me!

Charming cottage! Great spot to explore plantations and Charleston. Thank you for having us!
My family and I had a great time at the Cottage. The space was comfortable, clean, and exactly what we needed. The yard is incredibly beautiful and our toddler loved exploring.
We would absolutely stay here again!
Wonderful property !We enjoyed our stay and couldn’t be happier. They recommended fantastic restaurants in the area and treated us so kindly. This will be our forever Summerville VRBO!
The cottage was perfect for my husband and I with all the comforts of home. Marianne the host was amazing and quite insight on where to eat, hike and what beaches to go. Summerville is a year trip for us and as long as the cottage is open this is where we will stay!!
We needed a place to stay for our daughter's graduation at College of Charleston and stumbled across this gem! Perfect little cottage with an old school feel but a modern appeal. Highly recommended.
This rental was a sweet surprise. I don’t think the pictures do it justice. The property is a feast of beautiful flowers and plants, birds, and grand old oaks. The cottage is full of Southern charm. The owners’ added extra touches made our stay so very comfortable. I can’t wait to go back!!
Even though we visited during hurricane Debby, the house was high and dry. Our Host kept us informed of the local weather issues and what roads were safe. We were able to have a great time and did not mind getting wet.
The cottage in the oaks is absolutely a jewel. David and Marianne have thought of everything possible to provide you with a wonderful stay in the town of Summerville. We have stayed in more than 20 VRBO properties and this cabin is diffidently one of the finest small properties in which we have stayed.
Lovely property. Loads of beautiful flowers and trees surrounding the house with many butterfies and birds. Plenty of space to move about outside, if you wanted to. Simply lovely.

Thank you so much for your lovely review, thank you for leaving the cottage in such great condition!
I’m sorry we did t see you while you were here, but we try to give our guests lots of privacy!
I stayed here when I came to town for my daughter’s baby shower. The cottage is extremely cute, clean, and exactly as depicted online. The house is well equipped and cared for. The owners are very friendly, helpful and accommodating. I’m so glad I found this place. I will definitely stay here again!
This was the perfect place for our week visit. The property is beautiful and quiet. The house was clean and met our needs. I slept great on the mattress. Normally I don't sleep well and wake up very early. I slept in for once. Marianne and her family were very friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed our time there.

About the host
Hosted by Marianne STABENAU
Mari-anne grew up in the Charleston area but moved around the Southeast while raising children but the Lowcountry was always home. David is from away, Detroit, but happily moved back to the Charleston area with Mari-anne and settled on Summerville. They both love hiking, boating, fishing, shrimping, bird watching and more recently Pickball!
Why they chose this property
We purchased our home because of the many Live Oaks and the park like setting. We enjoy listening to the birds waking in the morning and watching the sun set through the live oaks branches.
What makes this property unique
Our home and cottage has a country feel but we are in a thriving town with all the amenities a few minutes drive away.
