This is our second time staying here for Thanksgiving. The house is super cozy and we were easily and comfortably able to host our family of 16. The hosts are very communicative and helpful. We have, once again, made incredible Thanksgiving memories.

Wonderful property!

We had a wonderful experience at this house. The house was very clean and very cozy. The size was perfect for my family. The host was very quick to respond to my questions. The area was very quiet and nice. I highly recommend this host and property.

Great place to stay

It was evident when we pulled up to the house that this property is well cared for and very clean. The front porch made a very nice gathering point and the couch swing is a nice touch. The home is well stocked and the owner answered all my questions quickly. I would recommend Eagle's Nest to anyone staying in the area.

check-in was adequate - i did send a message through vrbo asking for an early check-in and never did receive a response. I realize it was a late request and the owner did come to the property to let us in, but they never responded in the messaging to let me know the status.

Thank you for your feedback Stacey. Our checkin instructions in the Welcome Guide state our checkin time is at 4:00pm unless requested prior in advance. It also states to contact owner directly with any issues. VRBO messages are delayed as we get no alerts on new messages. My husband came to the house a couple hours prior to checkin and personally met you there and showed you the property. I also called you directly at 4;00pm to check on any issues. I feel the 6/10 is an unfair rating as we were diligent to secure your checkin. If you knew you needed an early checkin in advance, we would have tried to make accommodations ahead of time. Last minute requests should always be afforded a direct phone call with owners. Plus, we don’t even charge for early checkin.

Lovely home

This was a very lovely home in Ashland, Ky. I loved the front porch with the swing:). There was not a lot to do in Ashland, but if you’re in the area I highly recommend this home- the owners are very sweet and awesome communication and welcome!

Wow! 10 ⭐️s if Vrbo would allow!

We shared this house with another family while we attended a conference in the area. Jennifer was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING to work with. I can’t say enough good things about her. The house was charming, inviting, and very comfortable. There was plenty of room for everyone to sleep and relax without being crammed into a hotel room for a week. The neighborhood was very quiet. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!! I highly recommend this property and recommend renting a property from Jennifer even higher.

As Good As Advertised

This house is as advertised. There are plenty of beds and bathrooms for a large group. My wife and I stayed in this house by ourselves so, we had a lot of options on beds and bathrooms. We were able to cook a turkey and a ham for a family function without any problems. We were fortunate to get to meet Jennifer who was very nice and helpful. We will definitely consider staying at this location again if we need a place to stay while in Ashland. This house is very centrally located to every place in Ashland.

My stay at Carroll Manor

The house was very nice. The kitchen was not well organized. There was plenty of bedding and towels. My complaints are: water coming from the faucet was much too hot and should come with a warning or the temp be turned down. There should be a railing going into the basement. I am 78 yrs old and it was difficult getting down the steps! We were told to wash all towels before leaving and detergent would be provided. Well, the washer was full of stinky wet clothes that had obviously been there awhile and the dryer was also full. And we could not wash the towels as there was no soap. And I was alone in the house and no way to buy any while I waited for my taxi,Some of the pans in the kitchen were old and worn and should be tossed!

Clarification of guest review above. Guest did not stay at the Eagles Nest property. Should have read, “Didn’t stay here.” Guests did not stay at the Eagles Nest property because We switched them to a larger property, Carroll Manor. So glad Carroll Manor worked well for your group Brett. Carroll Manor does offer a little more space, so glad to know switching you to this home before your arrival was a good decision on our part and offered better accommodations for your large group of 3 families. We stayed in this home for a local family reunion. It’s centrally located and was a great place for all 8 of us to stay together under one roof while we visited with family for the July 4 holiday. We hope to stay here again for future trips!

Great little family gathering!

The house is as described and pretty clean. Enough towels, dishes etc. to accommodate 8 adults. Did contact owners with a couple of questions and received a very prompt response. The only thing we really would question is Parking space is a bit limited....Driveway for 2 and others on the street. We had an awesome time revisiting the old stomping grounds and will definitely keep Mark and Jennifer in mind if we’re blessed with another trip to that area.

Living it up in Ashland

This house was clean. The size was perfect for the three of us, with extra beds, of course. This would be a fun place for three couples as each would have their own bedroom and bathroom. That extra bathroom was nice when my extended family come to visit. I will rent this house again, if available, or rent from Jennifer and John when possible. Thank you for everything!!

Thanksgiving memories

This a wonderful property. We came into town to visit with my husband’s family over Thanksgiving, and we could not have been happier. It is a cozy, comfortable place to host dinner and an ever-revolving door of friends and family. We will definitely be back. Thank you for all you’ve done to make this such a lovely, inviting space.

My husband and I are retired from working in public services for 30 years. We’ve lived in this area nearly our whole lives….while I lived in Northern Kentucky for 12 years….I visited home as often as my work would allow. Carroll Manor is my home place of 50 years. I worked in Mental Health Counseling and he worked in a local hospital, prison system and first aid sales in Sports Medicine and Administration. We met in prison 20 years ago! lol. We enjoy spending time with our family, great nieces, nephews and 2 fur babies. We strive to provide a nice, clean, affordable and comfortable place for our guests….whether for a couple nights or a couple months. We really go all out and think about the small stuff you might need. Please reach out to us anytime as we would be happy to be of service to you. We appreciate your business!

My wife knew previous owners of this home, 45 years, as she grew up in the neighborhood and always admired the family and home. We fully renovated the home when purchased and continual upgrades through the years.
