Jean Marc was great, he greeted us like we were family and walked through the house with very clear instructions. The location was phenomenal, steps to the most amazing ocean beach. Not for swimming, but the most hypnotic experience ever. Three couples had their own rooms and private toilets. Very well maintained and comfortable.

This is one of the best rentals that we have ever stayed at. The house is exactly as depicted in the pictures. It has plenty of rooms and space, beautiful grounds, and a great location. Jean Marc is a wonderful and warm host.

Idyllic Setting with Comforts of Home

My husband and I went on a family vacation with our two daughters. We loved Moorea and would definitely return! Jean Marc has a lovely home and welcomed us as soon as we arrived. He brought us freshly ground coffee as he gave an overview of the property. He has a few small rules: keep shoes off while inside, turn off the AC in the bedrooms when you’re not around, turn off lights when you leave and no parties! We were awed by the many rooms and the beautiful beachfront lawn and pool!!Every detail has been taken care of in this home, we felt perfectly at home. The beds were abundant and comfortable and our girls opted to stay in the guest bedroom which is detached from the main home. The sound of the ocean is so soothing to hear at night. Sunrises, Waking up and eating breakfast looking out at the ocean, sunsets are all beautiful here…It’s a short walk for Tamae beach, and was an easy drive to all of our hiking and snorkeling excursions. Jean Marc provided us with some nice eating options and was very helpful in any questions we had.Tip: We rented a car in Papeete on arrival and took the ferry (which accommodates cars) straight to Moorea. While there is an airport nearby you will rarely hear a plane since it’s a very small airport.We enjoy traveling to many destinations, but Moorea was one of the most beautiful places we visited. Temperature was perfect at the end of June and everything was so lush! For most beaches, you should have water shoes.

Beautiful home on beach with private pool

If i could give this property a rating from 1-10 i would give it a 20! Owner is exceptionally helpful and this property is meticulously maintained! Simply beautiful! Very large house with amazing art throughout. Mosquito spray provided at each bedside. Washer/ dryer, plenty of cooking utensils, beach towels, etc. Large yard just 4 steps down to ocean. Very private, just LOVED the cabana and relaxing in the sparkling clean pool each evening. Can snorkel and see sea creatures right in front of the house. Right next to beautiful Temae Beach and close to airport, rental car, and ferry. Wonderful little restaurant close by. Just a few minutes drive to market and all excursions. Owner even picked us up at the airport, what wonderful service! Very safe property (Moorea itself is very safe). Everyone in our family had the time of their lives at this house! Forget overrated, overpriced overwater bungalows, this place will be your home away from home that you will never forget. Thank you so much to the owner, Jean Marc, for offering this exceptional home for our bucket list stay in Moorea! We will DEFINITELY be back! Very highly recommend!

Secluded beach front with access to amenities.

This was the perfect place for my husband and I to celebrate our 25th anniversary. The beach was quiet, the backyard over looks the ocean, and the pool offers a great place to cool off in the afternoons. We would book agai .

Slice of Paradise

Our stay at Luxury Beach House Pool & Beach in Moorea - Maiao was so much more than we expected. The house and property made for a great stay on our vacation of some of the French Polynesian Islands. Jean-Marc was a most gracious, helpful, and thoughtful host. He throughly walked us through his home so we knew how to operate everything and supplied us with suggestions on grocery stores, restaurants, and excursions. He also had his gardener keep the yard, trash, recycling, and pool maintained daily, which was another greatly, appreciated gesture.His dog, Kali was one of the most friendly, loving and caring dogs I’ve had the pleasure of having hanging out with us while on vacation! Kali was a great protector and came by throughout the days to make sure no one came up from the beach to intrude on us. Absolutely loved Kali!The house had everything we needed. It is a lovely, spacious home and property. We spent time in the ocean but really loved the pool and outdoor seating area.The island of Moorea is one of my top vacation spots for fabulous memories and a place I would love to re-visit someday, as one week on the beautiful island and staying at Jean-Marc’s property was not near long enough!

Perfect retreat

Thorough introduction and friendly advice from the host. House was very clean and well maintained. Many convenient kitchen appliances and utensils. The pool and and view from the picnic table under the bonzi pine tree were our favorite.

Lovely house and property; well maintained and appointed with personal touches and art, creating the feel of a home. Beach proximity and the small private dipping pool allow for cooling in days and evenings. Beds and pillows are comfortable and clean. Helpful owner available.

Perfect in every way

We spent 5 fabulous nights at this fabulous beach house. It was perfect for our group. We enjoyed the incredible water and the outdoor space, the highlight being the outdoor “living room” which provided a beautiful space to relax and enjoy the ocean breeze. The house itself is so charming and comfortable, and the kitchen is well appointed and designed. The only caveat is you must have a car and the roads are quite rough to and from the main road. But worth the trouble for the convenient location and outstanding views. Highly recommend!

Moorea trip

We had an amazing stay at the Moorea Beach House and Pool. We were welcomed with a supply of groceries and were given great advice for the ferries. The view was spectacular from the kitchen table or deck with the fully expandable walls. The pool was a big hit with the kids to use any time of day. They adored the two sweet dogs who visited daily. The beach was quiet, great for walks or finding sea shells. There was more space than we needed for our family of 4 - we would definitely return for another stay in the future!

AMAZING! Pros/Cons

I read EVERY single review before scheduling this beautiful property and it is indeed 5 stars! It IS on the ocean but it is NOT on Tema'e Beach. I mistakenly thought we could walk out onto the beach and snorkel everyday but there is no reef or lagoon protecting you from the waves. It IS close to Temae Public beach but you do have to drive there. We preferred Ta'ahiamanu Beach for snorkeling anyway! Also there is so much broken coral on the sand that it is not great for beach walks either. But we LOVED sitting out in the beautiful garden watching the waves crash and hearing them at night was so relaxing that we still totally loved it! The kitchen had everything we needed except a blender for smoothies and Pina Coladas! Note-It was super hard to find as it is down an unmarked dirt road with no sign or address for the property. It is less bumpy to access via the Green Pearl Golf course instead the Tema'e Beach road. One morning we were awoken at 4am by airplanes as it is right next to the airport but there is really very little air traffic so that was not a problem either. A/C is great in the bedrooms and fans in the rest of the home. Just want to give you accurate information. The attention to detail and the unique decor of this home is simply amazing! Absolutely recommend Alex snorkel tour. If you don't speak French skip the Tiki Cultural show! The owner stays in an adjacent building on site and has two very friendly dogs that welcomed us home each day.

Wonderful stay in paradise

What a beautiful home with a welcoming host. We arrived really early and were allowed to check in. Great beach in front of the house and we spent many an hour hanging out in the pool cabana. Traveling in a party of 5 and the separate spaces were perfect. Well stocked kitchen and close to large grocery store.

A Hidden Treasure

We had the pleasure of staying at Jean-Marc’s place for 13 nights in September 2024. The house is nicely decorated and the kitchen is well outfitted with everything you will need to make you feel at home. We cooked most of our meals so this was an important issue for us. Jean-Marc surprised us with some groceries upon arrival which was such a blessing as we only picked up a few things on Sunday before heading over from Tahiti. Jean Marc did warn us that the stores on Sunday closed at noon. Merci Jean-Marc! For us it was about the tranquility of Jean-Marc’s home, which is located on Tamae Beach. The protected lagoon has the best snorkeling on the island and is located within 1 mile from the house. I personally loved sitting on the properties edge watching the humpback whales swim by while enjoying my cup of coffee in the mornings or watching the whales from the dipping pool in the afternoon. My brother fished in the reef in front of the house. Jean-Marc provided us with great suggestions of places to go and places to eat. The 2 eating experiences not to be missed while you are on the island are Rudy’s for dinner and Coco Beach for lunch. Both places require reservations. Things also to note about the location of the house, it’s located very near the only golf course on the island within 1 mile of the house, it’s near the airport and the Sofitel Hotel. Jean-Marc was the perfect host and can’t wait to return one day. Thank you very much Jean-Marc!

Moorea heaven on earth!!

We spent 12 days on the island and had an amazing time😎 Jean Marc was an excellent host, responding to our every need. The property was incredible and made you feel like you were in Tahiti. From the open concept with the trade winds blowing through the home, beautiful wood interior, expansive art collection, plunge pool, coral beach front, star gazing, whale watching, and more😎 It is an intimate setting and deserves a 5+ star rating! Thanks for your hospitality Jean Marc! Definitely a memorable vacation in the real Moorea! Merci, Sharon & Kevin

So good I don’t even want to review it ;)

Sometimes you find a place that is SO GOOD you don’t even want to give away the secret. This is one of those times. Jean Marc is truly an incredibly gracious host and this house is truly a dream come true. From the classic Polynesian architecture and art, to the pool, to the beach, to the pristine public beach up the road, to my new best friend Cali (Bon Chimene!!!), there is absolutely nothing I would have changed. Absolute and total perfection. So much so, that we already committed to returning next summer. Merci beaucoup Jean Marc. Merci beaucoup pour des vacances absolument merveilleuses. L'année prochaine je reviendrai en parlant français !

Bonjour oui c'était super havre de paix et nous avions eu de la chance de voir des baleines et je dis bien des baleines la maison il manquait de rien avec la bonne compagnie de Cali très gentil chienne une vue magnifique la chambre parentale était super j'aurais mis un petit bémol sur le lit mais après chaque personne a son confort de matelas en tout cas un grand merci à vous nous continuons notre périple destination Bora Bora en espérant revenir assez rapidement MERCIIIIII🌺

Paradise Found on Moorea

We recently stayed at Jean-Marc's exquisite home, and it was an absolute dream! The location was unbeatable – situated directly on a secluded beach with stunning ocean views. The house itself was spacious and beautifully decorated, offering all the comforts we needed for a relaxing getaway. We loved opening the doors and windows to enjoy the ocean breeze and listen to the crashing waves. The outdoor space was perfect for spending our days soaking up the sun and enjoying the beautiful scenery. There is interesting artwork inside and out to admire, and the grounds are beautifully lit at night. An added bonus is the two friendly and well-behaved dogs that come by to brighten your day. Jean-Marc was a fantastic host, very communicative and helpful throughout our stay. This property is truly a gem! We would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious and unforgettable vacation experience in Moorea. The whole family is already looking forward to our next visit to the island, but we will only go if we can stay again at Jean-Marc's fantastic home.
