Home Away from Home(Sleeps 6) No city Tax

The guest home is a 1100 sq. ft two story house, with an attached deck on the second floor, that has an additional 400 sq. ft. The first floor consists of a living area, kitchen, master bedroom with an attached bathroom and closet. The second floor is a loft, and is either accessed by a small,& narrow SPIRAL STAIRCASE, or through the the larger staircase from the side of the deck.The loft has been converted with two twin beds and a futon that converts to a full size bed. It has an attached bathroom with a roman bathtub. The master bedroom has a queen size tempurpedic adjustable memory mattress with massage. It also has a bidet toilet.
There are two dogs that live on the property. Their names are Heidi (Female) and Hugo (Male). They are friendly. Heidi is protective and tends to bark with his tail wagging. Hugo will just go up to the guest waiting to be petted. Should any guest feel uncomfortable kindly let us know and we will have them in their doghouse.

Great little house for golf tournament

Me and my buddies loved this place. Clean, comfortable, plenty of room. Very modern amenities, and the massage chair is amazing

Cozy place centrally located

Wonderful, comfortable and clean place. In the city but just enough outside for country like piece and quiet. Hosts were responsove and the place was as advertized.

Couldn't ask for a better situation

We absolutely enjoyed our stay. The property is at the end of a quiet and secluded hilltop, but also very close to all the amenities of San Antonio and the hill country.Our host was fantastic - friendly, attentive and rightfully proud of his property. It was well appointed and comfortable and we didn’t lack for anything. We are very conservative in our reviews but will unreservedly give this 5 stars in every category. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Quiet Place in the Hills

Lovely little house up in the hills. Nice views, lots of deer. A nice upstairs living space that would be great for older kids.

The cutest house with so many amenities! The location was perfect and so close to where we would be at an event for the weekend. The neighborhood was quiet. The host was more than accommodating. He went out of his way to make sure the home was up to our standards. Everything in the house is lovely and my favorite was the tempurpedic bed and the temperature controlled toilet. When we asked if another night could be added to our stay they had no problem extending the stay for us. Thank you again. We will be telling our friends and family about the property. We plan on staying here in the future when we attend our team roping competitions at the San Antonio Rose Palace. Thank you again for being such an amazing host.

Truly a Home Away From Home

The home is cozy, comfortable, clean, and quiet. The number of deer is amazing and the hosts’ dogs brought a touch of home we would have missed. The hosts were friendly and accommodating. You will enjoy your stay if you are looking for a quiet retreat offering plenty of outdoor space to enjoy what nature has to offer.

Great finishings

As we entered the beautiful neighborhood we were greeted by many deer. The trees and the hills were very beautiful. The house had everything we needed plus some. It was clean and very nicely furnished. All the beds were very comfortable. The host was also very friendly. What a great place to stay. I highly recommend it.

Quiet and Secluded

Place was very clean. Owners provided everything needed for our short stay to go to a family wedding. The guest house is in a quiet secluded area with lots of deer. We were greeted every day by two friendly dogs. Loved that the place had a full kitchen and 2 baths. We will stay again in future trips to the San Antonio area.

Highly recommend

Comfortable home with all the amenities needed for a long term stay. Great location for visiting the sights around San Antonio including the beautiful hill country and the many deer that wander through the area. Adams and Liz are friendly and great hosts who are close by and desire your utmost satisfaction. Quiet suburban setting with plenty of restaurants, quaint small towns, shopping, grocery stores, and laundromats close by.

Home away from home!

Such a comfortable stay! The privacy and excellent Wi-Fi allowed working from home while the views and walks through the hills on the outskirts of San Antonio encouraged our health and meditation. We enjoyed walking to La Hacienda for delicious Mexican food when we didn’t want to cook, but the kitchen has everything we needed when we did. The upstairs patio was a real treat! The Host family is gracious and very accommodating. I highly recommend a stay here - close enough to enjoy the city but far enough away to enjoy the gifts of Nature.

Great place

Awesome little house! Very clean and well furnished. Was in a beautiful neighborhood. Nature is all around with deer running around. The property managers were awesome to deal with. They were very friendly and have great advice for places to visit. One of the best things for us was their lovely dogs. Heidi and Hugo are very sweet and will be your best friend if you give them a good scratch! Was a great vacation! Definitely recommend this home !

Hidden gem in the Hill Country

We needed a place for 4 adults close to Helotes for a concert. This little beauty was perfect for our needs. It’s a guesthouse behind the owners’ home but it’s super quiet, there’s a nice rooftop deck with a fire pit to sit and enjoy the scenery, and it was immaculately clean and well decorated. Hreat communication from the owners who didn’t not need to be prompted to give us keypad codes or instructions —very rare these days!! Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again.

Quiet stay away from home

It was an overall pleasant stay. It was a quiet, clean home and the owners were easy to communicate with and very friendly. They were fast to respond to me when I reached out to them. The only really downfall I had staying there was that the downstairs room was dark and seemed to have black out curtains,but upstairs did not. My daughter had a hard time with it being bright in the room she had to sleep in. Overall it was a nice stay tho!

Spacious Guest House

We spent a week in this guesthouse, dividing our time between 6 Flags and hiking in the Hill Country, which are both easily accessible from the house. The guesthouse is located behind the main house in a nice "country" subdivision, with lots of deer. However, in just a few miles you can be in the hustle and bustle of the big city. The owners are very friendly and are eager to help should any issues arise, although none arose during our stay. The owners have 2 dogs that bark upon your arrival, but quickly settle down and were not a problem. Beautiful views from the deck, kitchen was fully stocked with everything you would need. We will stay again next time we come back to the area.

Quaint perfection

Adams and Liz went out of their way to insure a smooth, comfortable stay... from their initial communications, to greeting us as we arrived, and finally to wish us a safe trip home. The house is exactly as pictured and described, so no surprises. It was spotless, and is well furnished and equipped with all the modern amenities you could wish for. The master bedroom mattress was one of the most comfortable I've slept on. Wish we could have stayed longer, to have time to use the top deck and freestanding firepit, and to watch the deer that appeared morning and evening. Close enough to shopping and restaurants to be convenient, but far enough to feel you are getting away from it all. Will stay again if in the area!

The perfect place for our stay

This quaint little house was perfect for our trip. I need a fully equiped kitchen when I travel, because my allergies make it so that I have to cook most of my meals. The kitchen was compact but had everything I needed and more. The spiral staircase was not an issue for me and the upper area was charming! There was lovely stenciling on the walls and other details that were there made this my favorite place to be. We only used two beds, but I got comments from my grandson and daughter about how comfortable their bed was. My bed was very similar to mine at home, which helped me sleep after a very long drive. It was close to the wedding and reception venues. A bonus was seeing deer in the yard! The owners were very responsive to my questions and requests. If I travel to the San Antonio area again, I will absolutely try to book this place first.

I could ask for nothing more

This stay was for a "late" Mother's Day gift - I brought my mother down from north Texas to see The Bellamy Brothers at Floore's Country Store - we both LOVE to listen to live music. The check-in process was a breeze - the property owner sent instructions the day before our arrival I believe and they were simple. Shortly after we arrived he came out of the "main" house to meet us, ask if we needed anything, and ensure that we were completely comfortable. He stayed in contact regularly, but not so as much to be a bother - we were glad for the contact. We had a 350 mile drive home and he and his wife were so classy as to ask for a text or a message via the app when we arrived home so they could make sure we were safe. We really appreciated this - it was NOT as if we were just another renter to provide him with revenue - we met really GOOD people, which are rare these days. I would change nothing - our stay was so comfortable - it felt like home away from home! I highly recommend this property - I know that when I come back to the San Antonio area I will look to see if it is available for me to stay again!

Not what I expected

Girls trip, pictures are outdated severely, and thankfully 1 of us lived in the area so we carpooled in 1 vehicle or there would have been no parking. I was looking forward to enjoying coffee on the roof with my girls like the pictures suggested but it’s NOT as pictured. Paint chipped, no glass in the table, no pad in the chairs, and there was a ladder and paint on the deck. We checked in late in the evening the first night and within 30 minutes we received a knock on the door stating the futon sheet was not put in the rental by the maid so they were bringing it to us. I felt like this could have been done before we were there not after we arrived especially since the check-in instructions were extremely clear that there were cameras and they would be making sure know one stayed over the number of allotted guests. Also, this house is located right behind the owners house and we had a hard time sleeping with dogs barking, in the area their were several around including the owners, whose seemed to be sweet but should have been put up when we were trying to pack to leave. I was also not happy with the listing showing that the check out time was noon, but when I received the information it was 11 and when I asked why their was a difference given no answer. Although the accommodations suited us for the weekend we will not be returning. The master bedroom and bed was extremely comfortable, but upstairs twin beds were not, and the futon was ok. It was a 3 at best but if your looking for privacy this is not the place for you. Please note that that the owners did respond immediately to communication and respectfully, we were grateful for that!

Christmas with family

We stayed here for the week of Christmas and it was very clean, quiet, and comfortable! We had everything we wanted, comfortable beds, TV with Netflix and surround sound, washer and dryer and kitchen. The hosts were nice and responsive to my requests.

A really good spot for exploring San Antonio. particularly liked the setting and seeing deer at night. My children loved sleeping in the loft area.

Quaint and perfect location to Rose Palace

We were looking for proximity to the Rose Palace, it was perfect for going to and from to check on horses. Communication with the owner was great and our stay was exactly what we were looking for.
