Well Appointed and Really Just Perfect!
The property was everything it promised to be and was a perfect fit for a two-day escape. Callie made everything so easy and clear and the home was outfitted with everything we would have needed. We travel a lot and we were surprised how well she has anticipated needs and organized the home and stay. We wish all rentals were this well organized. She was a great communicator, as well. The house has well sized rooms so we never felt cramped and wouldn't - even if we had brought another couple with us. It's set up for privacy and was very enjoyable! We highly recommend it for a quick get away or private time.
Thank you for such a thoughtful and kind review Melissa. It makes me so pleased to know you two were happy, content, and that the cottage provided such a perfect little escape. Please come again.
The Schoolhouse is a gem! Beautifully decorated, rustic yet elegant. The house is situated at the end of a road with no nearby neighbors. A great place for a romantic weekend or just a quiet getaway. The kitchen has everything you need to cook and a washer and dryer adjacent. The living room is a couple of steps down from the kitchen and very comfortable with a nice sofa, large coffee table and reading lamps. There is internet and a tv but no cable or satellite tv. We brought our own Amazon firestick and connected that to watch AM Prime. Otherwise it's a great place to read. There are lots of books on the bookshelves but also jigsaw puzzles to do. There are 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. One bath has a tub, the other has a shower. The queen bed in the master was soooo comfy and the sheets were wonderful. There's a screened in porch off the master which is the perfect place to drink your morning coffee, either in a rocking chair or the porch swing. In the evenings, there's another porch where we saw fireflies lighting up in the woods. 10 minutes away is the cute town of Dahlonega with shops and restaurants, grocery store and even a Walmart. The Schoolhouse was a quiet haven from the hustle and bustle of life. Highly recommend!
This was one of the nicest places I've ever stayed!!! The place is so spacious, private and centrally located. But the history and attention to details pushed it over the top!! Everything was wonderful!!I will return!!
