The property manager was very responsive and helpful from the time of booking. There was a little confusion checking in as to whether the front desk or letting office had our key, but they resolved this pretty quickly after the two parties talked it out (it was the letting office). The staff had the apartment ready even though we arrived a few hours earlier than the published check-in time. Even though you can’t count on that, the front desk is willing to store your bags for a few hours before check-in or after check-out. They can also call cabs which came quite quickly. The apartment description was accurate, but the pictures made it seem a little bigger than it actually is (it’s literally one room with a small kitchen, table with two chairs, small tv stand, fold out couch and double bed with two small end tables and an attached, reasonably-sized bathroom). The two table-top oscillating fans were much appreciated since it was unseasonably hot when we visited. The apartment was very clean and comfortable. With the windows open, there was a fair amount of loud talking that could be heard until after midnight both nights we stayed. The housekeepers were prompt, and the front desk staff was extremely responsive and generous with their services. The property is about equidistant from Sloane Square Station and South Kensington Station for the tube (about a 10 minute walk). Sloan Square is slightly closer, but South Kensington is more direct walk. There are a few quick bites (including a Starbucks) across the street (along with an urban grocery), and there’s a nice string of pubs and restaurants close to South Kensington Station. Overall, we were very pleased with this property and would recommend it to a single, couple, or family of no more than four who are comfortable being in close quarters looking to stay in the Chelsea area.
