Perfect spot for a family vacation

We had four adults and one very active toddler and this spot was just perfect. The views were amazing, the house nicely outfitted for conking and the onsite pool and workout room made it easy to enjoy a break during naptime! Lots of grassy areas for our grandson to run around. Patricia was very responsive and we hope to come back!

Wonderful place!!!

What a lovely place!!! This place is a 10/10!!! Very clean, comfortable and was well stocked! The view was fabulous!!! The best view at Wai’ula’ula’ and is very convenient to the Hapuna and Mauna Kea resort hotels and activities. The host, Patricia, was great to work with and very attentive!!! We had a great time!!!

Amazing Spring Break!

The home is beautiful, clean, and comfortable. We enjoyed our time at the resorts, but the best sunsets were from the lanai. Patricia was responsive, helpful, and kind. We hope to come back and do it all over again!

Wonderful Vacation

We loved staying at this condo. It was myself, two brothers and one girlfriend. The condo was great, marvelous views from the lanai, and lovely pool and hot tub area. Patricia, the owner, was great-advising us about one potential issue that was resolved before we actually arrived and always staying in touch. It was a lovely vacation for all of us.

Superb Stay

We enjoyed our stay in this spacious, well-appointed condo with beautiful ocean views. We added the Mauna Kea/Westin amenity package and it was a wonderful addition to the trip. The owner is incredibly responsive and helpful with tips to navigate and enjoy the surrounding area. We appreciated having everything we possibly needed--from tupperware to extra towels and plenty of hangers. Thank you for a great holiday!

Beautiful Property in a Conveniently Located Resort Community

Patricia's property is immaculate, spacious and boasts stunning sunsets from the balcony. The kitchen was well appointed with staples and plenty of cookware. Having three bedrooms and three bathrooms was lovely but two of the shower heads had 'directional issues' and sprayed every which way but down, so we were only able to use one shower. Like many folks renting their properties on VRBO this one sits in a resort community that requires additional fees for golf, beach access, pickleball, tennis, etc. but this is an optional additional cost for guests and we didn't need it. We still had access to a pool and fitness center and quite frankly Hapuna Beach is a mile down the road and is free to the public. Overall we had a lovely stay and enjoyed all the activities this area has to offer. Thank you Patricia, for sharing your beautiful home with us!

A class act! How soon can we return?

The best place to stay in Kona! Loved the 2 spacious MBRs, additional BR & the 3 Baths. Loved preparing food in the gourmet kitchen. Beautiful view of the ocean & grounds. With the breezes from the ocean on top of the hill, no need for air conditioning. Enjoyed the amenity center and also appreciated having the Mauna Kea membership. A peaceful place without crowds, but in the middle of it all. Nice!

Gorgeous sunset view

Absolutely the best view of the sunset on the ocean's horizon in Wai'ula'ula. My wife and I enjoyed the sunset every night during our stay and they were fantastic. The view looks straight down Hapuna's 15th fairway straight into the ocean. This unit in Wai'ula'ula is also located a short walk from the fitness center along with a pool and very nice hot tub. We have stayed in the Mauna Kea area for the last five years and find the weather, including the wind (or lack of it) to be perfect for outdoor activities.

Beautiful Sunsets

Very nice home, needs some updating. No TV in master and older tv in second bedroom with queen bed. The lovely ameninities of Westin and Mauna Kea are available.but not included. Floorplan is very nice. Bedrooms are all private to each other.Condo is on the second floor.

Fabulous stay, start to finish

This was the nicest rental we’ve stayed in several decades. The location is perfect, with easy access to both Mauna Kea and Westin Hapuna beaches (definitely buy the amenities package). The condominium is clean and modern, with great views and high end appliances (Sub Zero, Wolff oven, Bosch dishwasher, etc.) Two master suites and another bedroom, a huge lanai with a Weber grill. Nice ocean views. WiFi. Patricia is a great communicator and made sure everything was easy and perfect. Mahalo!!!

Family Vacation at Waiulaula

We rented this lovely condo in February, 2016. It is in a very upscale complex which has access to the Hapuna Prince and Moana Kea resorts, with the resort package (highly recommended!). We have stayed in rental condos on Maui, Kauai, and the Big Island approximately 15 times, and this unit is one of the nicest we have ever seen. Roomy, spacious, very quiet. Nice view over the golf course to the ocean. You will need a car as the location is a ways from shopping and about a half mile to the beach, but you have resort parking privileges at both resorts, which gets you onto two of the nicest beaches on Hawaii. Perfect for a large family or two couples. Very responsive owner!

Such a beautiful location

This property was so incredibly spacious for our family of 5. We watched the sunsets from the lanai every evening and it was also a great place to watch the fireworks from both Mauna Kea and Mauna Lani resorts. The place was exactly as advertised. Patricia, the owner, was very responsive and provided some great suggestions, and the condo was stocked with everything we needed. There is a great snorkeling beach a two minute drive away (Beach 69 or Waialua beach) and also has shade! My only disappointment was that we didn't stay longer. We thoroughly enjoyed the Northern Kohala Coast. It was a great place to explore the entire island. The Farmer's market in Waimea is very close by and the best shave ice on the island is only 4 miles away in the port town of Kawaihae! The line is long, but worth the wait. If you go, make sure to get ice cream and a snow cap!

Great Condo- best location

We just arrived home from 8 days here and it was wonderful. I highly recommend. The condo is even better in person-very clean, stylish and comfortable. It also is well appointed with boogie boards, beach chairs, towels and cooking supplies. We enjoyed several nights cooking at home on the outdoor grill. The location is very close to Hapuna Beach and Mauna Kea beach which is my all time favorite. We purchased the amenity package so we could have access to the resorts as well which I recommend as it made parking and beach access very easy but it isn't necessary. The pool/hot tub at the clubhouse is beautiful and a short walk from the condo. Patricia was quick to respond to any questions and helpful with suggestions on where to go on the Island. There are also some great books at the condo that list activities like best places to snorkel etc. We will definitely return!

Family Golf Trip

We had a great time in this beautiful condo last summer traveling with our college kids. Appreciated the ocean views while having coffee in the morning and drinks and dinner in the evening. You are overlooking one of the golf holes on the Hapuna Prince course. Our family played 18-36 holes of golf nearly every day. We also enjoyed a sailing trip in the little marina just north of Mauna Kea. (Was nice not to drive all the way into Kona.) We did buy the resort package and mostly used the facilities at the Mauna Kea. It is a short drive down the hill and you do get a parking pass. We also took the opportunity to have family pictures taken professionally on the resort property. We stayed with our family of four so each of our kids had their own room. Very spacious for our group. My sister and her family stayed down the road at Waikaloa but came over several evenings when we all cooked dinner together. Great time and experience! Thanks Patricia!

Excellent vacation, great owner, strong recommend

My family and I (three kids ages 19, 16, and 11) stayed here for 8 nights from 12/24/24 - 1/1/25. First, I’ll talk about the owner. Outstanding communicator since booked reservation. Very detailed directions, suggestions, information. Also, appreciate how she handled issue in condo w water heater the day we arrived (had new water heater installed by day after Christmas so while it was a minor inconvenience, she handled it gracefully and also gave us a gift card to the Mauna Kea for the inconvenience). In terms of the condo, perfect for our family…lots of space, outstanding views, upgrades throughout, and in a quiet neighborhood. The condo is within the grounds of the Mauna Kea resort and we purchased the amenity package at 180 per day so had access to beach/pool/gym etc at both the Mauna Kea hotel and the Westin Hapuna. My only criticism (and it’s more of an awareness) is that you will need to drive to the Mauna Kea and Westin each day to use the beach/pool. While it was a small hassle, we got used to it quickly and it only took about 5 mins. There is a pool and gym right by the condo as well. One other thing I’ll mention is that food on Big Island is ridiculously expensive but that’s not related to the condo just pointing it out in general. Having the condo helps w keeping food costs down by using local grocery stores and the great kitchen.Would definitely go back and stay here because of the unit itself and the great communication from the owner

Siblings trip

The experience was excellent from start to finish! The property is beautiful and as described. Close enough to Kona and sights around the island, but far enough away for a quiet time. The sunset from the condo is breathtaking! Highly recommend looking into this property if you’re planning a trip to the Big Island.

Mauna Kea Estates

The 3 bedroom/3 Bath condo was spectacular. Well appointed, Cared for and a wonderful place to enjoy the Kona coast from with beautiful sunsets every night from our lanai. We purchased the Mauna Kea/Westin amenity package and it was wonderful. I couldn't have asked for a better location or surroundings. And the night swims in the beautiful pool on the premises were delightful. 5 stars are not enough!! Enjoy

Perfect Relaxing Vacation

We really enjoyed our 10 day vacation here with our friends. With two master suite configuration, we had plenty of privacy between two couples. The pictures on VRBO site doesn't do the justice to this place. All the sheets, blankets and towels are white and clean. The kitchen is well stocked and easy to cook. The sunset from the balcony is spectacular over the golf course. All in all, we had a true, relaxing vacation. Mauna Kea amenity package is a must have for beach lovers. If you go to the beach early in the morning or after 3:00, you could find the front row lounge chairs at the beach and enjoy watching people with your pina colada! I'm already missing it. We'll definitely come back to stay here again. Thank you, Patricia!!!
