Ihastuttava linna, joka on peräisin 12. vuosisadalta ja joka on entisöity 1700-luvulla Acciaiolin jaloin perheellä, upealla tornilla, joka on rakennettu Firenzessä sijaitsevan Palazzo Vecchion mallin pohjalta. Montegufonin linna on osa suurta kiinteistöä, johon kuuluu viinitarhoja ja oliivipuita Chiantin alueen sydämessä.

Etäisyydet Villa: pieni kylä Montagnana V. P. ruoka kaupoissa 1 km, Montespertoli kaikenlaisia ?? kauppoja noin. 5 km, Firenze 20 km, Pisa n. 70 km.
Bussipysäkki, jossa on bussit Firenzeen, Montespertoliin ja Empoliin, on vain muutaman metrin päässä linnasta. Vuokrattavia polkupyöriä ja skoottereita on saatavilla Montespertolissa.

Vieraiden käytettäviss��: suuri ja erittäin viehättävä rivipuisto, jossa on puutarhakalusteet ja pöytätennis, kauniita italialaisia puutarhoja (vuodelta 1800), jossa on sitruunapuut ja uima-allas (12 x 6 m - avoinna 01.44-31) / 10). Vastaanotto on avoinna 8. 30 - 12. 30 ja 14. 30 - 18. 30. Myös linnan ulkorakennukset palautettiin ja niistä tuli viehättäviä huoneistoja. Linnaa johtaa Posarellin perhe. Mukava ravintola, jossa on hienoja paikallisen Chianti-perinteen reseptejä, on avoinna joka ilta (huhtikuusta lokakuuhun, paitsi tiistaisin). Pesula jaetulla pesukoneella (3 € / pesu). Es war eine idyllische Schlossatmosphäre. Die Wohnungen sind dementsprechend einfach ausgestattet. Es fehlte ein Backofen und man hatte keine normalen Steckdosen, wobei man das notwendige Zubehör kaufen musste. Klimaanlage war vorhanden und man hatte trotz der vielen Wohnungen seine Privatsphäre.

Alles so wie angegeben. Restaurant war mega lecker wenn auch etwas teuer. Die Wohnung hätte sauberer sein können. Außerdem hatten wir ein relativ großes mückenproblem da die Fenster auch wenn sie zu sind nicht wirklich zu sind. Alles in allem aber trotzdem eine tolle Ferienwohnung neben dem wirklich schön gelegenen Schloss

Aussergewöhnlicher schöner Ort zum Urlaub machen. Mängel an der Wohnung wurden schnell behoben. Negativ empfand ich die vielen Stechmücken, aber dazu kann niemand etwas. D'excellentes vacances

Le cadre est enchanteur, le personnel très gentil. La situation géographique est idéal car situé en pleine campagne mais au coeur du triangle Florence, Pise, Sienne. La piscine permet de bien se détendre et se rafraîchir après une journée de balades. Le gite était très bien avec juste un petit bémol sur l'équipement car nous étions 8 et il y a tout juste assez de vaisselle. Nous avions la climatisation que nous avons bien appréciée mais ce n'était pas précisé sur le site lors de la réservation, or tous les logements n'en sont pas équipés. Nous y reviendrons certainement et avec plaisir!

Nice evironment, lots of space, but limited facilities!

We stayed one week in one of the appartments outside of the castle. We had the big one (No. 1.B) with 4 bedrooms. So a lot of space for 4 people like us, it might be a bit more cosy with the supposed 8 people max. capacity. The environment around the castle is great, pure Tuscan, great views of the countryside and most of the Tuscan attractions are close by to be reached within a daytrip. Rooms were clean and in reasonable shape. The fridge was big enough and had a huge freezer compartment. However a few drawbacks: - If it is warm (which is mostly the case in Tucany in summertime), you definitely need the aircondition in each bedroom (with is a nice feature in that appartment), however it comes with a premium payment per day on top! I would expect this to be included in the price! - kitchen facilities (especially frying pans) were in a very bad shape and need to be replaced urgently. - no resonable wine glases available ... in Italy, please! - the furniture inside was probably supposed to look antique ... but is was more looking shabby, - the dishwasher did not really clean the dishes, so we preferred not to use it, - the most annoying thing was actually the outside area to sit and relax, which is actually pretty small, squeezed into a corner at the front side of the building, no real natural shade, so it is very warm in the morning sun and not comfortable or private at all, - saying outside: be prepared to fight against the mosquitos all day. There is small pond nearby so they love to be there ... (I don't want to blame anybody for that, just to let you know). Would we spent our holidays there again? NO!

Great place!

With a great view from the porch, big place (4 adults and 3 kids in our party), pool, air conditioning (huge help during the hot summer!) and a restaurant with great food and service, there's nothing to complain about. Oh, and price can't be beat. Highly recommended!

Loved everything about the castle except for the A/C and bug situation which is something I checked on prior to renting based on TripAdvisor reviews. The available A/C in the bedrooms is VERY misleading. We were happy to pay for this service - but, they did not cool at all. Hardly any air flow - looked like the filters were long overdue for a change. Perhaps that was the issue? There were no screens in the apartment, so we eventually bought some bug spray and relied on Bug spray and cold showers to make it through each night. We were there for 9 days; did not have a restful night's sleep during our entire stay. The nights were miserable to say the least. They shouldn't charge renters for this service. Frankly, they should yank the units out and install screens and be honest with renters from the start. Had we known what to expect from the beginning, we would've packed some bug spray and managed our expectations. As it stands, we feel like we were taken advantage of on this front. I haven't received an itemized list of final charges, but I'm sure this was part of our final bill. One other recommendation - communicate with your guests on wonderful amenities like the grocery delivery service. We stumbled across this option mid-trip after spending a lot of time and money procuring groceries on the way to the castle from the airport and hauling them along with our luggage when we checked in. Wish we had known about the grocery delivery prior. Other than the A/C issue, the staff was friendly, we enjoyed several meals at the restaurant and the castle/views were beautiful.

il nostro appartamento si trovava nella dependance del castello, posto meraviglioso. L'appartamento è composto da 3 camere matrimoniali di cui una con bagno in camera e le altre due con bagno esterno (tutti e tre ristrutturati recentemente e con doccia ). al piano sopra c'è un'altra stanza senza porta con due letti singoli. Il proprietario della villa non lo abbiamo mai visto, per fortuna il custode Rodrigo ha fatto il possibile per farci avere la legna ed accedere il camino. Quella casa era gelida pur avendo richiesto l'accensione dei termosifoni con anticipo ( considerando il fatto che il riscaldamento si paga a parte 25 € al giorno). Siamo riusciti a scaldarla quando ormai era il momento di andare via. Non c'è il forno ma solo il microonde, è presenta la lavastoviglie senza detersivo e sale. Il custode veramente disponibile in tutto. è stato comunque un bel soggiorno che ci ha permesso anche di visitare Firenze con soli 30 minuti di macchina.

il nostro appartamento si trovava nella dependance del castello, posto meraviglioso. L'appartamento è composto da 3 camere matrimoniali di cui una con bagno in camera e le altre due con bagno esterno (tutti e tre ristrutturati recentemente e con doccia ). al piano sopra c'è un'altra stanza senza porta con due letti singoli. Il proprietario della villa non lo abbiamo mai visto, per fortuna il custode Rodrigo ha fatto il possibile per farci avere la legna ed accedere il camino. Quella casa era gelida pur avendo richiesto l'accensione dei termosifoni con anticipo ( considerando il fatto che il riscaldamento si paga a parte 25 € al giorno). Very nice villa with enough room for a larger group. Castle amenities were a big plus - concierge services, good food at the restaurant.
