Property Manager purchased this House in 2016
Why Property Manager chose Gavaudun
Domaine de Gavaudun is located in the Black Périgord in the heart of the very picturesque Gavaudun Valley (classified site), 7 km from Fumel, 55 km from Agen, 50 km from Bergerac, 65 km from Sarlat and 55 km from Cahors. It is an ideal starting point to visit Périgord, Quercy and Guyenne, even Gascony. Detailed information will be given upon arrival on the region and places of interest (geography, history, specialties). The main points of interest are: prehistory, the Middle Ages and gastronomy.
What makes this House unique
The resort is very quiet and peaceful out of the high season, except on weddings weekends. It obviously gets more animated with the children and teenagers playing and cheering in July-August, but the estate is very large and most of the units are remote from the centre of life (except for the cottages). You will have no difficulty to relax on your private terrace or the meadows around while your children are having fun together.

Gavaudun is a small medieval village, dominated by its castle of the XI century with a remarkable dungeon, nestled between the valleys of the Lot and Dordogne, near the majestic castles of Biron and Bonaguil, the bastides of Monflanquin and Monpazier.
Sarlat and its festival, Rocamadour, Saint Emilion, Les Eyzies, Cahors, Moissac, Nérac, the prehistoric caves of Lascaux, Font de Gaume, Pech Merle and many other exceptional sites await your visit.
Périgord is also particularly famous for its gastronomy: ducks, truffles, cepes, foie gras ... accompanied by wines of Bergerac, Monbazillac, Cahors, ... What a pleasure to do the markets!
Finally, to please everyone, many cultural events are organized in the region.
