Riverside Princess is in one of the historic subdivisions of Gatlinburg and adjoins the famous Trout Stream which meanders through the heart of Gatlinburg. Her deck overlooks the stream and is perfect for a romantic dinner serenaded by rushing water. The hot tub allows guests to enjoy the outdoors in cooler weather and in comfort and privacy. Both the bedroom and living room overlook the stream, with the rapids singing guests to sleep.
Recently acquired from a family whose ownership lasted several decades, Riverside Princess has been completely renovated, interior and exterior, including conversion from a two-bedroom layout to a large and romantic one bedroom layout to accommodate its king-size bed and oversized bathroom featuring custom inlaid slate shower and sauna. The kitchen is likewise newly remodeled and stocked with new appliances. The entire interior is finished in tongue and groove with hardwood floors, sparing no expense.
Accented with eighteenth century antiques, together with other high quality furniture, 42-inch plasma television, Riverside Princess offers the very best of comfort, amenities and atmosphere. A well-stocked DVD collection is included to keep younger souls occupied when not enjoying the river. We can assist with trout stamp/license information, and the river is stocked with trout weekly most of the year so even a novice fisherman is assured of an enjoyable catch.
As one of only a dozen or so cabins still available on the river and in downtown Gatlinburg, Riverside Princess is sure to become your favorite hideaway in the Smokies.

Great little cabin!
So overall this was a great little cabin! It was clean, cozy, and comfortable. There were a few minor things that I wouldn't even really consider as complaints, but would've been good things to know ahead of time.
The location of the front door threw me for a bit of a loop when we first got there - it's located through the gate at the top of the stairs and around the back near the hot tub (you can't see the door from the gate). Just would've been nice to know in the initial instructions.
The bear proof trash can was a little bit of an issue, when trying to close and lock it the latch didn't line up quite right to be able to close it properly. Luckily we didn't have a trash bag to throw out until check out day so I didn't call the office to fix it, but I'm sure they would have taken care of it quickly if we would have called. Also, i couldn't figure out how to change the cable to the DVD player to watch a movie. Again, probably could have called, but we just stuck to the cable and it was fine.
The apartments that are located very close to the property are rather sketchy looking but we never had an issues there. It was just my mom and I there so we were sure to always go out together if it was after dark just in case.
Last minor thing was the location in relation to the parkway. Technically it is a fairly easy walk (easy, not short) to the parkway, but not to the main part where most of the shops are. We ended up driving to the parking garage on the left near the first big intersection between 9-10am both days and had plenty of parking and max charge was 6.00 versus a flat fee of 10.00 at most other lots.
Overall, I thought the cabin was really great and would stay here again. Both check-in and check-out were very easy and the people we spoke with were very friendly. Short drive to both Pigeon Forge and the main drag in Gatlinburg so it was great access to both places!
It was perfect
It was so peaceful and beautiful I've never stayed in a cabin before and we are already planning to come back in June
GREAT! LOVED IT!
Already to go BACK! Loved my visit and my stay in CABIN!
Great place and location, if you have a group it would not be the best place, but it tells you all of that. one bathroom keep that in mine. but for my wife and I oh and two small dogs it was great.
The cabin is just the right size for two people. You can hear and see the River from the windows of the cabin. Very nice setting and close to attractions.
Not a dog friendly cabin but nice for people
Nice little cabin sitting across the road from a stream. The stream provides a nice sound when you are outdoors. The cabin itself was small but cute. But dog owners beware, while this cabin accepts dogs, there is NO grassy area for potty time. We walked all the way to the Quality Inn at the end of the street without finding one area of grass that our country pup could use. We would not permit her to go into the yards of other cabins - this is just not right - and was looking for a 'public' grassy area, along a road, between streets, on a street corner etc. but none were found. The cabin sits built into a hillside and there is no grass in the small space between the edge of the house and the street. I would use this agency's cabins again but not without seriously checking out the facilities for our dog.(we drove her to the off-leash dog park in Seiverville 3 times per day - yes she is spoiled!)
The king bed was comfy. However, electrical outlets near the bed consisted of only one (until we tore the room apart looking for more). We both use CPAP machines so we needed an outlet on each side of the bed. After moving the bed we found one additional out let that would work for the opposite side of the bed from the only outlet we had found. So if you need multiple electronics near your bed, move the bed to find the hidden outlet that gives you access to the side of the bed nearest the closet.
The bathroom and kitchen were clean, the linens were fresh and soft. The was dust on the wooden furniture surfaces though which I had not expected. Some of the window blinds did not work properly. Had an issue with the door in that when you were inside you had to have the lock engaged in order to keep the door from swinging open on its own.
While none of these issues were serious enough to warrant contacting the agency, they were minor annoyances that should be noted.
Overall, we would stay in this cabin again WITHOUT our dog.
