Overview

About the property

Cabin, 1 Bedroom + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath, (Sleeps 2-4)

Riverside Princess is in one of the historic subdivisions of Gatlinburg and adjoins the famous Trout Stream which meanders through the heart of Gatlinburg. Her deck overlooks the stream and is perfect for a romantic dinner serenaded by rushing water. The hot tub allows guests to enjoy the outdoors in cooler weather and in comfort and privacy. Both the bedroom and living room overlook the stream, with the rapids singing guests to sleep.

Recently acquired from a family whose ownership lasted several decades, Riverside Princess has been completely renovated, interior and exterior, including conversion from a two-bedroom layout to a large and romantic one bedroom layout to accommodate its king-size bed and oversized bathroom featuring custom inlaid slate shower and sauna. The kitchen is likewise newly remodeled and stocked with new appliances. The entire interior is finished in tongue and groove with hardwood floors, sparing no expense.

Accented with eighteenth century antiques, together with other high quality furniture, 42-inch plasma television, Riverside Princess offers the very best of comfort, amenities and atmosphere. A well-stocked DVD collection is included to keep younger souls occupied when not enjoying the river. We can assist with trout stamp/license information, and the river is stocked with trout weekly most of the year so even a novice fisherman is assured of an enjoyable catch.

As one of only a dozen or so cabins still available on the river and in downtown Gatlinburg, Riverside Princess is sure to become your favorite hideaway in the Smokies.

Nice updated cabin for a couple.

  • 4 of 5

Overall we really enjoyed a relaxing get away! The cabin was adequately supplied with all the comforts of home! Loved all the updates that had been done. Kitchen is really lacking on counter space. Would be nice to add a pair of tongs and a sharp knife to the utensil drawer! The steps to the sunken living room are very deceiving. Maybe mark them in some way. Parking!!!! The designated spot for the cabin is not adequate.

Great Location!!

  • 5 of 5

We loved the cabin, beautiful in every way! Bed was comfortable, nice shower, neat and clean! Loved being on the river!! One thing missing for us was a tea pot.....I'm not a coffee drinker, we don't use microwave ovens or non-stick pot & pans (personal choice) so it was tough to heat our tea water. We also agreed with another person's comment.....the sunken living room is neat but the step downs are odd and they blend in to the floor below, best to accent the edges with tape or something? We ate out a lot but cooked a bit, all the rooms are spacious except the kitchen, very little counter space, but overall a delightful stay!! Thank you!!

Cozy cabin near Gatlinburg.

  • 4 of 5

I stayed here for a five day retreat during the Smoky Mountain Spring Wildflower pilgrimage. The cabin is on the edge of Gatlinburg and sits across as small road from the Pigeon River. For the most part, the cabin met my needs and expectations well. Positives: quiet, very clean, loved the hot tub and sauna, luxury bathroom with beautiful tile work and luxurious linens, rustic knotty pine paneled living room, comfortable leather couch and king sized bed, well equipped kitchen for my needs.

I was a bit disappointed that my visit fell outside the time frame when the owner allows a fire in the wood burning fireplace, so was not able to enjoy that feature during the cold drizzly evenings. Also, the cabin is just across the river from highway 321 which is the main road from Pigeon Forge to Gatlinburg. Traffic noise from the highway is audible most of the day and evening hours. Vegetation between the river and the highway is short, so the cabin does not feel secluded. That is the trade off for being so close to downtown Gatlinburg.

Over all, it was an enjoyable stay and the management company did a good job of making sure that I arrived and settled in without difficulty.

Great location close to the Park

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed in the Riverside Princess for a few days while visiting the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. The cabin was decorated nicely, had a great river view, a hot tub (perfect for after a full day of hiking) and was very comfortable. If we find ourselves back in Gatlinburg, we will definitely be staying here again!
