This is a great place. Right on a quiet beach.
We had a great time here. Perfect place to watch the sunsets each day and star gaze at night. Thanks!
Thanks for visiting! And hope your holidays were enjoyable.
We hope to see you again Stacy!
Views and sounds of the ocean all day and night!
Papa Ouli's is wonderful little gem away from the crowds and resorts. The beach is just steps away from the front door and the sunset views are magical. The beach is relatively empty except for a few standing surfboarders on the weekend. The house is well equipped with bedding and kitchen needs. The large washer and dryer is a big plus. From the jacuzzi in the master bedroom you can see the ocean. I'm told in January you can see whales swim by - but we were there in November. It's just a sweet little spot and homey space for up to 6 people. And three bathrooms makes it even more convenient!!
Aloha and Mahalo and I'll be returning soon.
Beautiful home and property & the beach is right there!
The home was well furnished with everything you need to include 4 beach chairs and towels. I am very fond of air conditioning and was quite surprised that there was no AC. That information is important to me and I was not aware that AC is not popular in homes in Maui. Lesson learned. I slept in the living room with all of the windows open and a fan which helped tremendously. Overall a fantastic stay with additional beaches close by to include a grocery store within walking distance.
Temple Connable is open :)
Couldn't pick a better place to stay with my family during our first trip to Maui.
Great Vibes, truly a Maui home, my kids and wife loved the place.
Nothing better than watching the sunset, sitting in a hot tub and sipping a Bikini Blonde. Sorry about that living room chair guys, one of the legs gave up under my 230lbs.
Will be back for sure.
Thanks for your feedback Chris! The next door owner loved your kids. Let us know when you want to return.
All the best! Peggy - for Papa Ouli
Mahalo Chris for your kind review. So glad you experienced the ENERGY of this special part of the world. Look forward to having you back. No worries about the chair.
Take care. Ke Akua Me Ke Aloha. Papa Ouli
Great view and sunsets!
We stayed for 18 days in January and really enjoyed the house. It had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. I would suggest maybe a blind on the patio doors as the afternoon sun was pretty bright and bit annoying if you were inside. The living rooms seating was a bit awkward as the futon does fold up so it's a big bed with pillows but we weren't inside that much and made due. The kitchen was equipped well and washer and dryer was nice also . Our overall experience was great and we are already booked for February 2018. The nightly sunsets are amazing as well as morning coffee watching the whales. Can't go wrong with this one!
We loved it!
What a great place for a relaxing vacation; private and ocean front! Beautiful home with everything we needed to enjoy the beach and our time just relaxing together. We loved being able to prepare meals which included lots of fresh, farm stand fruits and veggies. It was convenient - within walking distance - of groceries, coffee shops, shopping, and great variety of restaurant choices. Our days typically began on the beach and ended watching sunset from the deck. We could hear the surf and waves day and night, listened to a chorus of birds welcoming each day, saw turtles in the ocean just out the back door, took long walks along the beach in both directions from "home", and used the Maui guide books on the shelf to plan site-seeing activities. This was our first trip to Maui or any of the Hawaiian Islands and I think we are "hooked"! Thank you so much.
Snorkeling is best in Ulua Beach & Park, Wailea-Makena areas. They have restroom. A suggestion instead of going to Lanai for a snorkeling trip go to Ahih-Kina'u Natural Area Reserve,15 min drive pass Makena. If you see Jazzy's Food Truck, stop , Great Mexican food. Rent Kayak to go out and see the grn. turtles.
