The perfect weekend getaway! The house is beautiful, clean and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to make all of our meals there. The setting is peaceful, serene and secluded. It really felt like our own little paradise. Definitely recommend to anyone needing a break from the grind of every day life.

This place is a true gem! We couldn’t ask for a better location being right on the Jackson River and minutes from Moomaw. The house was great, tons of room and very cozy. A true gem in the Alleghany Highlands. Tons of space both inside the house and out. Owners had great communication (but we had zero issues). Would definitely stay at again.

This was a great property for a friends get together. The home is large, well appointed, and comfortable. We especially enjoyed evening fires in the fireplace on the deck. The owner was helpful with answering our questions prior to arrival which helped us be prepared to enjoy our time in the area. Will definitely stay here again and recommend to others.

The property was beautiful. We had no issues during our stay. Check-in was easy. The house was clean and had great space. We had 6 adults and a child and had plenty of room to hang out. We particularly loved the screened-in porch. The kitchen had everything we needed for making meals. Having private river access was wonderful. It was a great place for a relaxing weekend, and I would love to come back for an even longer stay.

Wonderful stay over Thanksgiving!

The house and property were wonderful! We stayed with a large group over the Thanksgiving holiday and everyone had a great time. Fishing by the river, s'mores by the fireplace, and relaxing by the indoor fire and shooting pool. Perfect way to spend a holiday weekend!

Very beautiful home with a breath taking view!!

Absolutely loved staying here, the river is absolutely gorgeous along with all the mountains around and the wildlife. Great place to get away and unwind.

Perfect family weekend

This house is our very favorite! The private riverside space offers guests the perfect visiting spot. The fire pit is great, and the screened porch with fireplace is great for quiet coffee in the morning or a glass of wine before dinner. We love this house so much!

Wonderful River Home

We had a wonderful weekend! What a gorgeous property with a spacious and fun home. The River access is fantastic for fishing, kids swimming and just enjoying. The home is even better than the pictures, very comfortable and our kids loved the basement.

Great spot on the Jackson!

Great place to stay with some really nice waterfront access on the Jackson. House was great and the screen porch with the outdoor fireplace was a real plus - evenings were just cool enough for us to use it. Some incredibly fishy looking water along the property but the fish there make you work for it!

Perfect hideaway

This home is even better than the pictures or description. Plenty of space and wonderful screened porch area for some great R & R while you listen to the birds and flowing river! Kitchen was well stocked and easy to maneuver around. Everyone enjoyed our stay and have decided next time our visit must be extended more than 3 nights!

A secret gem!

We loved the beauty that surrounds this home. There were so many options to enjoy the outdoors from fishing to tubing and kayaking to walking and biking along the Jackson Scenic Trail. The outdoor fireplace and screened porch made for lovely outdoor meals. We hope to return!

Fantastic property with fantastic views

Needing to get away for a weekend, I booked this property in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Responses from the owner were always timely and full of valuable information. Both the structure and the acreage are stunning and offer phenomenal views. We plan to rent this property again during the Summer months. A great find!
