Perfect House in Perfect Village
Goult is centrally located to explore all the beauty of the Vaucluse. It is not a touristy village, but has all the charm. It offers six restaurants, two Michelin recommended, a small epicerie (grocery store), a boulangerie, boucherie and fromagerie. The house faces the square where you will park for free, the weekly market takes place here on Thursdays in La Place de la Liberation. The church is on other side of the square and the bell tower chimes hourly which we loved. The beds are super comfy. Lots of storage and lots of hangers, which we appreciated, we were there for three weeks. We used the shower in the larger bath because the small bath shower head sprays more on a shelf than on the body. The listing did not mention there is a toilet on the first floor level which we found to be convenient. The kitchen is well outfitted. We loved the Nespresso machine so much we purchased one upon our return. The toaster slots are not wide enough to accommodate a slightly wider slice of bread. We did not find a pantry, but also did not use the kitchen for cooking meals. The stairs were not an issue for us, we have lots of stairs at home, but this is not the house for someone with mobility issues. We do not think the outdoor roof terrace is described sufficiently, you need to climb a very steep winding iron staircase to access. I braved it one day to take photos. The manager, Herve, was very helpful and accessible, his office only w doors down.
