This Truro home is so lovely that we have spent three weeks there over the last two years! The home is light, bright and spacious with truly spectacular, panoramic western views across Cape Cod Bay. The beach is wonderfully and surprisingly deserted; the water is relatively calm and great for swimming.
Sipping wine and nibbling on appetizers while admiring the sunset across the water was the perfect way to end the day. And as a special treat, when the sun dips below the horizon you are then greeted with the twinkling lights of Provincetown!
The constant breeze off the bay pouring through the over-sized windows was reminiscent of nights spent at anchor on a sailboat...except (and this is a big except) with all the creature comforts at our fingertips! The kitchen is well-equipped and the beds are simple and comfortable.
The floor plan allows for a separation of space so that even when the house is full of people you enjoy a sense of privacy and can "get away" by yourself.
While we had all kinds of plans to explore the outer Cape during our stay, the house and surroundings proved so alluring that none of us left this self-contained paradise all week!
Ernie, the owner is a true gentleman, and he was very responsive when we had some challenges with our internet connection.
The Perfect House!
I hosted my sister's bachelorette party here for her close friends. The house was perfect for our group of women - the location was convenient, the view was gorgeous, the beds were comfortable and the owner was responsive.
While packing I had a few questions about items in the kitchen and got a speedy response from the owner. It's well equipped with almost everything you'll need for elaborate group meals. If you plan to cook for a group, the kitchen is great. There's a huge island so quite a few people can help food prep with a view of the bay from the large windows. In addition, there's a very long dining room table so no one will feel left out.
The bedrooms were also great. The bedrooms are conveniently located away from the communal spaces so people who go to bed early can easily rest in peace. Everyone had their own comfortable bed with their own unique view of the bay. The windows are huge and overlook the bay so you can fall asleep listening to the sound of the waves.
And finally, the porch with direct access to a private beach is nothing short of perfect. It was a small slice of paradise all wrapped up on a secluded property and house in Truro, MA.
Everything was perfect!
Exactly what I needed with a large group of girls.
Fabulous house and location
This is the most amazingly beautiful vacation destination. The house is stunningly beautiful and spacious even for a large extended family. Every one of the 8 bedrooms has a water view of Cape Cod Bay, Provincetown and the beach lined curve of the Cape. The two large living rooms, dining areas, open kitchens and multiple decks provide plenty of room for people to spread out. The private beach in front of the house is easily reached by stairs down the dune.
Truro's main ocean beaches are only a couple of miles away.
Amazing property and perfect home for large group
Couldn't have been happier with this beautiful home and location! We spent a week here with a large group of family members and had such a wonderful time. The large common areas are perfect for big groups. The views of the coastline are just fantastic and you can't beat the proximity to the beach. Owner and caretaker are both very accommodating. Would return in an instant.
Just what we needed!
The accommodations were perfect for our large group. Our ladies group this year included 13 and there was plenty of room for us all. The views from each bedroom were amazing. The kitchen and dining area were spacious and we never ran out of hot water which was a plus! The beach is private and the large deck was perfect to watch the amazing sunsets from. We had a wonderful time!
This dramatic house is located in a rural area at the end of a dirt and gravel road in a small community of houses in historic Truro, Massachusetts, one of the least developed areas of Cape Cod. Truro has miles of uninterrupted stretches of ocean and bay beaches. Much of the town is within the borders of the National Seashore Park, intersected by biking paths and nature walks. Tennis, shopping, fishing, whale watching cruises, and restaurants are available in nearby Wellfleet and Provincetown.
