Recently classified Meublé de Tourisme 3 ***, the fully renovated house, with WIFI connection, is located in the center of the village of St Denis d'Oléron. You access it by an alley.
While remaining calm and away from the summer bustle, you are close to all the shops (daily market, bakery, mini-market, pharmacy and doctors) and can reach the port and the beaches of Saint-Denis in 10 min. foot.
Many cycle paths will allow you to discover the diversity of the landscapes and we can put our bikes at your disposal (including baby seat and children's bikes).
Several nearby beaches allow young and old alike to have fun.
The port of Saint-Denis is a lively place: you can find restaurants and many nautical activities (French Sailing School) as well as daily maritime connections to La Rochelle, the island of Aix and Fort Boyard (possibility of go there for the day).
Nearby: surf school (surfing, kite-surfing, wind-surfing), walks, boat fishing, equestrian center, golf.

Déception

Nous avons été déçus dès notre arrivée. L’extérieur de la maison n’est pas un jardinet comme indiqué dans l’annonce mais une courette avec gazon synthétique, hauts murs, des tabourets inadaptés à du mobilier extérieur et un barbecue sale, sentant la sardine, visiblement laissé en l’état après la dernière utilisation. À l’intérieur, dans la cuisine une vmc très bruyante dissimulée derrière un simple rideau et des WC sans porte ! Le lave vaisselle lave mal, les intérieurs de placard n’étaient pas propres et nous avons dû nettoyer toute la vaisselle avant utilisation. La hotte goutte dans les plats une fois éteinte. À l’étage, la saleté sous les lits nous a épatés ainsi que l’inclinaison de la douche et le fait que l’abattant des toilettes était cassé . Bref, à ce prix, c’est inacceptable ! Nous avons pu le dire à Walter qui de son côté a été très sympathique. rideau et des WC sans porte

Disappointing

Wir mussten unseren Aufenthalt bereits nach einer Nacht abbrechen, da das Haus ein Schimmelproblem hat, zum Beispiel der Schimmelbefall von den Matratzen, Teilen der Wände und Fugen. Die Kommunikation nach Verlassen der Unterkunft war aufgrund von Sprachbarrieren sehr schwierig. Trotz der erheblichen Mängel mussten wir die vollen Gebühren für die 5 Nächte zahlen. Der Preis den wir dadurch für den Aufenthalt gezahlt haben ist viel zu hoch.

Très bon séjour

Merci à tous pour ce petit séjour. La maison est parfaite et plus grande que ce qui est affiché. La propreté est impeccable (merci Marilène). Tout le nécessaire est disponible dans la maison. Nous conseillons vivement cette location et n’hésiterons certainement pas à y revenir.

wunderbar zum Entspannen

Das Häuschen ist sehr nett hergerichtet und bietet alles was man braucht. Außer einem bequemen Sofa haben wir nix vermisst. Der Ort ist charmant und zum Strand zu radeln war auch sehr schön. Ein paar kleine Reparaturarbeiten würden reichen, um das Ganze perfekt zu machen!

Very pretty cottage which is well equipped.

We were surprised how big this property is. It’s certainly well equipped and comfortable. The private courtyard is a bonus. The high walls mean it isn’t overlooked. There is a good quality BBQ and bikes are provided. The beds are comfortable.The only minus points are that whilst it appears clean, under the beds and the skirting boards plus nooks and crannies are very dusty and require a good clean. In addition ,there is a damp smell which hits you every time you go into the house. It may be that the shower , which has leaked recently, is responsible and we understand that a replacement is soon to be installed It’s possible to park on the small lane to unload/load your car but it’s necessary to park away from the house in the local car park which is 6/7 minutes away but is free. There is a boulangerie and a super U express nearby. The local covered market is open daily for fish and rotisserie chicken etc, with a more extensive open market 3days per week which is very busy. Produce is good but not cheap.

Wir haben uns insgesamt sehr wohl gefühlt, das Haus ist gut ausgestattet. Ein bißchen viel IKEA. Einige Dinge (Terrassentür, fehlender Vorhang zum Wohnraum) müssten repariert werden. Aber durchaus empfehlenswert

tout est bien,seul bémol ,surtout ne pas toucher au rideau métallique de la cour. et le bbc très rouillé. très bien accueilli par la charmante MARIELANE.si nous le pouvons nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir,la maison est très propre,mobilier de très bon gout.
