The apartment created in the basement of the house, cool and comfortable, with 1 double bedroom, 1 Double bedroom, living room with sofa bed for 2, kitchen, bathroom with shower.

Ideal for families with children for the peace and security of its large outdoor area with private garden and lawn but also for young people seeking worldliness with neighboring Alghero ready to oblige.

The accommodation is easy to find as just travel the road (SP 18) for the Argentiera and you get to the Court, then access to it is easy being on the ground floor of a detached house in the center of the township.

Just minutes from La Corte (Alghero or Porto Torres) you can 'enjoy all the comforts' such as supermarkets, ATMs, restaurants etc. although in the township are two bars and a small supermarket and there are several houses in the area.

It was lovely to spend some time in and around La Corte.

The appartment is on the ground floor underneath where Tino & Simonetta live. That's very handy if you arrive at 1am as we ended up doing! (Getting a hire car at Alghero airport takes a surprisingly long time). Despite this our hosts were very friendly and welcoming. It was nice to eat out on the patio in the evening and going to the shop in the village was always good fun. It's a small peaceful village and there are lots of beaches to drive to in and around Alghero. It's a clean appartment and during the very hot weather we had, we were glad that it was more like a lower ground floor flat with small windows that kept things a bit cooler.

Apartment in the basement - Lovely little village

Tino and his wife made me and my friend feel comfortable from the first moment on, as they said we could knock on their door every time. They seemed to us like absolutely lovely and warm-hearted persons.

The house has a really nice garden in which you can relax and have a siesta in the shadows of some olive trees.

In the apartment itself we did not feel that comfortable, because it is more like a basement apartment (which means, it is not that hot inside) with just little light in there. If you leave the main door open to let more light come inside, it won’t take long until one of the three (?) cats gets inside and hides under the sofa, which was especially for my friend, who is allergic to cats, kind of unpleasant.

The village La Corte is like half an hour away from other cities (Alghero, Sassari, Porto Torres), so you definitely need a car. On the one hand that is strategically a good place, because you’re in the middle of this city triangle, but on the other hand you always have to take a half hour ride to get/see something special. So it depends on the way you like to travel, if you like that or not.

In La Corte you have a very nice and lovely Pizzeria, where you can really enjoy Italian culture. It’s not even a tiny bit touristic, so you gonna have fair prices and very nice people working there. Me and my friend could have gone there every day. You should really try!

So all in all we really enjoyed our stay, but we didn’t want to spend so much time in the apartment. If this was possible, I would give 3.5 stars.

Pros y contras

Pros: propietarios amables y disponibles a ayudar. Nos ayudaron a hacer funcionar la cocina de gas y nos dieron su opinión sobre cuales eran las mejores playas. Lugar limpio, amplio y tranquilo. Tiene los útiles necesarios para cocinar. También toallas. A media distancia entre Porto Torres y Alguer, puede considerarse bien ubicado. Aparcamiento en la misma puerta. Hay un pequeño supermercado a poca distancia.

Contras: el agua no es potable para beber, no encontramos ni una botella de agua, ni lavadora, ni detergente para platos, ni detergente para ropa, ni sal, ni azúcar, ni otros productos de pequeño consumo que los propietarios suelen dejar por gentileza. Nos dijeron que no entraba en el contrato. Tampoco vimos fregona para el suelo. Las ventanas del lavabo, comedor y cocina estaban cubiertas por una finísima tela que permitía observar desde el jardín (pusimos una toalla tapando la del lavabo por razones obvias). La última noche antes de irnos nos pidieron en efectivo o paypal el segundo pago de la estancia (estar preparados, a nosotros nos cogió algo desprevenidos)

Owner's Response: Solitamente non rispondiamo alle recensioni dei nostri ospiti ma questa volta siamo costretti a farlo perché il Sig.Fernandez ha scritto una serie di cose che non corrispondono al vero ed alcune pretese davvero singolari.....1)il saldo dell'affitto va a noi corrisposto all'arrivo nell'alloggio come c'é scritto nella prenotazione, son stato costretto alle 11 di notte del giorno prima della loro partenza, che è stato il mattino dopo alle 5, a bussare alla loro porta per farmi pagare il saldo dell'affitto visto che loro non si sono presentati.....non si é capito se avevano e quando intenzione di farlo.......2)non é assolutamente vero che dall'esterno si vede all'interno della casa attraverso le finestre in quanto sono dotate di tende......3)l'acqua dei rubinetti non è potabile come non lo é in tutta la zona dove abitiamo, si usa per lavarsi e lavare,per bere si compra quella del supermercato.....mi scusi Sig.Fernandez ma in Sardegna siamo abituati così!!4)Forse il Sig.Fernandez pretendeva anche che gli facessimo la spesa?!Visto che non ha trovato acqua,sale,zucchero,detersivo per i piatti......senza parole......per una questione di igiene quando i precedenti affittuari lasciano qualcosa di aperto nella casa noi la buttiamo,forse il signore é abituato in maniera diversa.......noi affittiamo la casa pronta per essere usata come da inserzione,con biancheria e accessori per la cucina, alla spesa quotidiana ci deve pensare l'affittuario non il proprietario.......

The property is located in La Corte, township in the City of Sassari and its main feature is the central location and the small distance to the famous tourist resorts of Alghero and Stintino.

Starting with the Court along a few km you can visit all the north-west of Sardinia: Alghero, Capo Caccia, Porto Ferro, Argentiera, Stintino, Porto Torres etc.

Another advantage is the port of Porto Torres and Alghero airport just a few minutes' drive away ....

How to best to discover in our area there are obviously many beautiful beaches that are located in Alghero (Bombarde, Lazzaretto, Pineta Mugoni etc.), Stintino (The Hairy, Saline, Ezzi Mannu etc.) and then the nearby (10 min drive) Argentiera and Porto Palmas.

As for the nightlife is definitely worth visiting Alghero with its many bars, with its busy town center and the promenade that is inspired by the Ramblas of Barcelona.

Other sights to visit are the Asinara Island departing from Stintino and the Grotte di Nettuno Alghero.

La Cantina di Sella and Mosca which is 10 km from the house is another thing not to be missed as the typical cuisine of Sardinia that you can appreciate the many farm in the area.
