Casa Borgo Marinari: sunny and modern apartment at the foot of the Castel dell'Ovo

Our house is an elegant and bright two-level apartment set in a unique setting in the city: it is located in the magical and central Borgo Marinari, the islet where the famous Castel dell'Ovo stands, connected to Via Caracciolo by a romantic bridge. A stone's throw from the best hotels in the city, some of its major monuments, as well as the sea, the house is in a position that is difficult to match.

It represents an ideal starting point to visit the city and its surroundings, to enjoy the intense and changing panoramas of Naples, but also a welcoming and romantic refuge to spend the evenings at home with friends, enjoy a dinner or read, work and relax.

The house has been recently renovated, with parquet and luxury finishes, is tastefully furnished and is equipped with every comfort. The house is composed as follows:

- On the first level, there is a spacious and bright living area, furnished with care and elegance with a six-seater table, sofas, a hammock and TV. You will also find a large, sunny and equipped kitchen, with a table for four, fridge, freezer, oven and dishwasher. On the first floor there is also a lovely double bedroom which communicates with that of the upper floor through a closable window. The room has a small balcony overlooking Castel dell'Ovo. A guest bathroom and a laundry room with washing machine complete the lower floor. If necessary, the beds in the double bedroom can be separated.

- Upstairs, there is a bedroom with a master double bed with an en suite bathroom, equipped with a bathtub. The bedroom overlooks the lower floor bedroom from which it is separated by a closable glass door and a blackout curtain. There is also a comfortable study area with a two-seater sofa bed. The study area can, if necessary, be isolated and darkened through a curtain and therefore includes two more beds. The study area is connected to a colorful bathroom with shower and a large closet space.

The house is equipped with every comfort: TV, independent heating, air conditioning, free wifi, washing machine, dishwasher, double fixtures. The house, located in a safe area, also has an armored door.

We can also accommodate the little ones and on request we can provide high chairs, camp beds ...

Napoli Away from the Noise

Casa Borgo Marinari was great. The neighborhood is full of restaurants on the water and several bars. It is on a pedestrian way so it may require a little work to get your luggage from the main road to the apartment but it is worth it.

Very spacious accommodations with a big kitchen with a separate laundry room. The second floor was a mezzanine so not enclosed which lead to the two main bedrooms stacked on top of each other. If anyone snored, even with the windows closed led to discomfort. The location of the apartment on a pedestrian area lead to some challenges with luggage if you couldn’t convince the taxi to drive up to the door. The area had lots of cafes and restaurants which was great but could be a bit loud if you wanted to go to sleep early. The host was great.

We stayed here for 3 nights while vising Naples, Pompeii and the surrounding area. This two story appartment was very comfortable for 5 people (3 adults, 2 children) and made an excellent base for our excursions. There are plenty of restaurants in the immediate area for easy dining, but it was still a quiet area at night. The space was quite livable and sunny, and the children loved the hammock best of all. Thank you!

Comfortable and spacious in a gorgeous location

The apartment looks even better then the pictures. Well-equipped kitchen, lots of space, extremely comfortable. Air conditioning worked great, we had a little balcony to sit out on and watch the world go by. It is in a great spot- right by the sea, just a little apart from the main city. It has a thriving restaurant culture and there are a ton of food options at your doorstep. Busy in the evening but the apartment does a good job of keeping the bulk of the noise out.

Great location

Naples is not my favorite place but this area at marina & next to castle was night. There is alot of night life. My only negative is the floor was dirty. It looked clean but when walking with no shoes my feet were very dirty.

Perfect walking location!! Only needed transport to farther locations like Pompeii and Herculaneum and Amalfi. Ferries to islands are walking distance. Take a taxi up the hill and walk down if it is too much. Restaurants and bars right next door. Noise was not a problem. You can hear them on the weekends but never kept us or our granddaughter awake.

Best Accommodation for Naples

I cannot imagine a better place to stay when in Naples. The location is perfect. It's a 20 minute walk to the ferries; there's a huge assortment of restaurants, bars and gelato vendors immediately out the front door. It's walking distance to the shopping district too. There's also a good and inexpensive grocery store close by. And it has beautiful scenery all around it. It feels completely safe even late at night.The actual apartment is much larger and nicer than the pictures show. The couches and beds are all comfortable. The bathrooms (there are 2.5!) are large with plenty of hot water and good pressure. The AC works well. The apartment truly has everything that you could need. This may be the best VRBO I have stayed in and I am a frequent traveler. The owner and manager were super easy to work with and very flexible with times in and out. I would give this my highest recommendation. I hope to stay here again when I am back in Naples.

This is a wonderful property located in the vibrant Borgo Marinari, the historic marina of Napoli, which recently became one of the prettiest areas of the city. The apartment has a view of the central market of Borgo Marinari, packed with restaurants and a vibrant nightlife. Its side has a view of Castel dell'Ovo fortress. Some of the best restaurants in Napoli are located here. The apartment is huge, on two levels, with three baths and can easily accommodate 10 people. It has blinders and noise-reduction windows to isolate from outside noise and all needed amenities, as advertised. It has two separate AC units for full comfort, high speed internet, guides to Napoli, the works. For the sea wolfs: you can come with your family by boat, dock in the marina and stay in the apartment. Marcello is a great host, prompt and fast and we communicated flawlessly. He also provided a connection for a garage nearby, at a reduced fare. Overall, a highly recommended rental that I will pass to all my friends.

Fabulous location on the sea

Marcello was a great host. The location is perfect for all activities, our favorite tour from Get Your Guide was a boat tour to Capri with a swim stop and they picked up within 5 minutes walking distance from our place. All is great, The internet could work better but other than that we had a lovely time.

Une pépite au coeur de Naples !

Appartement très bien rénové, (beaux matériaux, bon agencement, beaucoup de rangements) clair, agréable à vivre. Marcello nous a permis d'arriver dès le matin : il fait tout pour le confort de ses hôtes. Ce quartier est fort sympathique, un peu de bruit sur les terrasses mais on échappe aux klaxons de la ville !

L'appartamento di Marcello è stata una scelta fortunata perché rispondeva esattamente alle esigenze della nostra famiglia. Viaggiavamo mia moglie, io, i nostri due figli di 8 e 11 anni e i nostri due bouledogue francesi. La posizione è molto comoda per visitare Napoli oltre che estremamente suggestiva trovandosi la casa a due passi da Castel dell'Ovo nel Borgo Marinari. Marcello ci ha ricevuto con puntualità e gentelizza. La casa è spaziosa, bella e pulita con tutto quello che può essere necessario per un soggiorno anche di più di qualche giorno. Una delle soluzioni migliori che ci è capitato di prenotare ( e viaggiamo molto...)
