This house is INCREDIBLE!! The decor is wonderfully whimsical and every room has beautiful character. The enormous fireplace was wonderful to warm up the bottom floor and the kitchen had everything we needed for a private chef to make an amazing 4 course meal for the guests. The house is very clean and the check in and check out process couldn’t have been easier. Our party suggested we make this a yearly get together at this same house. Vicki was a great host and always responded to my questions quickly. This is a superb property for hosting an event or just relaxing for a vacation.

Great stay in a historic home

We had a great stay at this house while in town to celebrate our aunt's 90th birthday. The property was big enough to accommodate our 16 family members and we loved the historic charm. The busy road was a bit noisy but overall we had a wonderful time - thank you Vicki for a great experience!

We has a fantastic stay at this beautiful historic lodge. The property is rich with character and charm offering a peaceful and inspiring setting that made our visit truly remarkable.The highlight for us was how spacious the house is with a first rate kitchen well-equiped for hosting large meals. The bedrooms are all very comfortable, and while only one was on the first floor, the layout worked well for our family. There are two dining areas and a cozy, inviting living room that made it easy to spend time together. As an added bonus there is a game room with pool, air hockey and other games. All in all, this is a wonderful venue for families, group gatherings, or small events. Would recommend to anyone looking to host a special occasion.

Have your next family gathering here!

This property is perfect for a large gathering. The grounds are lovely. We enjoyed the patio and the fire pit. There is plenty of room to spread out. Inside is charming and well-equipped. There are some nice touches - plenty of nightlights to show the way to the bathroom at night, lots of spices available in the kitchen. There were no clear instructions on check-out procedures and the host did not respond to my message asking about it. I would highly recommend this place.

Fantastic place and stay

This place was perfect for our family of 17. Space was exceptional and the house, yard and location were stellar. We were able to accommodate friends and family from the wedding location for a great gathering. The host was fantastic to work with and so flexible ensure we had a successful weekend. Future son in laws family stayed here.

We book this place for my future son in laws family to stay here for my daughters wedding. Everything went off great and all the family said it was a great stay and plenty of room for 20 people.

Charming and Adorable Historical Home

Wonderful home and grounds/gardens. Plenty of space for two families. More bedrooms available than advertised. Super convenient to everything in Chadds Ford area. Vicki (host) was wonderful to work with. A perfect place for our 60th birthday celebration!

This property was the perfect compliment to my 60th birthday. EVERYONE was comfortable and felt welcomed the moment they walked in the home. Vicki the host was the absolute BEST! It was very nice.A few things could have been better - a smoke detector chirped all night on Saturday, there were ants in the kitchen, and there was no hot tub. The host was great with her communications. Everyone loved the house!

Our wedding party stayed at the Wild Wisteria the night before our wedding. Brad was easy to communicate with and available anytime we needed him. The property is absolutely beautiful, the rooms are quirky and full of character, and the morning coffee bar was great.

It is important to note that this house was originally built as an Inn in 1714 if I remember correctly, so it is over 300 years old. It has had a lot of modifications since then, but what you are getting is an opportunity to essentially sleep in a museum. There are various things throughout the house that might leave you scratching your head, crooked door frames and light switches that are in weird places, and obviously there is wear-and-tear on floors and walls, but it all contributes to the experience. I will say that there is 1 bedroom without a door, and a couple of bedrooms that you have to walk through to get to other bedrooms, but if you are going with a family, it is easy enough to shut some of the doors to keep a level of privacy.When we booked, there was a hot tub listed in the amenities, but there is not a hot tub at the house. We checked in with the host about this, as well as some other questions, and she was always prompt and helpful in her responses, and very apologetic for the mistake with the listing (which she said she was trying to fix). It was great working with her since she was as helpful as possible whenever we communicated.

Perfect!, Just Perfec!!!

We celebrated my husband's 70th birthday at this amazing historical inn. The house was so comfortable, clean and well appointed. The grounds were well landscaped with plenty of setting areas for large groups. Very relaxing. You will not be disappointed. We plan on returning to do all the things we didn't have time for in one weekend. Vicki, thank you for everything.
