About the host
Hosted by owner
Veda and Henry have lived on 250 acres for over fifty years. They have developed the property planting many varieties of bamboo and all sorts of tropical plants that will live in Arkansas' climate. There are over 100 palm trees of differing sizes to set the tone of the tropics.
Veda owned and operated a public opinion research business and Henry was an attorney and served as elected Prosecuting Attorney for the Ninth Judicial District of Arkansas for the last 14 years of his practice.
Both Veda and Henry enjoy traveling the world. Many of the attractions on the property are as a result of the influence of the places that they have visited.
They have created a New Orleans courtyard with a French Quarter building so guest may sit and sip wine or drink coffee. There is a replica of a Buddhist Lost Temple located in the jungle gardens of the Treehouse copied from one seen by the couple in Cambodia.. Guests will find a life size pioneer fort of the Revolutionary War Period on a lake within the 250 tract of timberland. Much of the landscape is fashioned from their observations during travels to the Islands of the Caribbean, the Andaman Sea, Central America and Hawaii.
