Our beautiful home was included in Waterfront Living Magazine!

Between cooking with a water view and football on the big screen TV, bring the whole family for a stress-free vacation! Two first-floor bedrooms and full baths eliminate the need for older family members to navigate stairs and kids will love the over-sized room upstairs with 2 full beds and a closet full of toys and games. The Master indulges with a private deck, oversized jet tub and a sitting area with an extra TV. If you really want to treat everyone, we can help arrange catering and cleaning help - call us for information!

Perfect for multi-generation groups, girlfriend getaways, and romantic weekends - gather on the pier with a sunset crab feast, off-street parking for 8 cars, kayak and jet ski ramp and entertainer's kitchen! Additionally, 1/4 mile from the house, take advantage of the brand new Nabbs Creek Marina, including "Mantrafit" standup paddle board yoga classes (and rentals!) and the all new waterfront "Broken Oar Grill"opening in the spring of 2017.

We are 18 miles North of Annapolis, a 25 minute drive, and conveniently located for visiting DC or Baltimore! Baseball fan? Plan to see the Nats and the O's in the same weekend!

13 Miles to BWI

15 Miles to Baltimore

19 Miles to Johns Hopkins University Hospital

41 Miles to DC

Please read the entire listing. Rental pricing varies depending on the month. Thank you!

We are located on the point of a peninsula, where Stoney Creek and Nabbs Creek meet.

We are looking for guests who will take good care of our home. Rental prices are listed weekly, please enquire about long term.

Blue Heron Point is a must see for any family or group looking to enjoy the beauty of the Chesapeake Bay. Situated on the point of Nabbs Creek and Stoney Creek on 210 Feet of waterfront (2 miles from the Bay), Blue Heron Point is just an 8 mile boat ride or an 18 mile drive to downtown Baltimore and 17 miles to Historic Downtown Annapolis. The drives take approximately 25 minutes to Annapolis, 20 to Baltimore and 40 minutes to DC.

Note that there are 4 bedrooms (sleeping for 8)

A futon is in one of the downstairs bedrooms (sleeps 2)

Couches can sleep another 2. And we can convert the waterfront office (which has a private full bath) into a bedroom by adding a queen sized bed if requested.

Ideal for a family with kids that love the water, crabbing off the dock, fishing, tubing or just sun bathing on your own private 220 feet of water.

Enjoy long dinners on your deck with a panoramic view of the water. We eat nearly every meal from May through October outside on the deck or at the picnic table on the dock ~ There is no waterfront restaurant in Annapolis or Baltimore that can compete with this view!

The home gets its name from the faithful Great Blue Heron who makes his daily morning rounds from Spring to Fall to the end of our dock. The Fall brings flocks of Canadian geese, the Spring brings several couples of nesting mallards, and you won’t believe the rockfish jumping near the shore on those hot summer nights!

The 2nd floor Master Bedroom boasts a King Bed and a 13 foot dormer window and private balcony looking over the water. The bathroom hosts an over sized jet tub and extra-large tiled shower, double vanity and lots of natural light. The master closet has been recently designed by California Closets, and boasts two extra crawl spaces for storage. This closet HUGE.

Second Floor BR#2 on has a matching 13 foot dormer window and an alcove sitting area and 2 full size beds. Yes, that is 2 Full size beds.

The centerpiece of the first floor are the stunning four sets of double sliding doors with nearly an entire wall of glass looking out onto the water. The living room has an open ceiling to the second floor for lots of light and space.

There is an adjoining office with its own slider, separated from the living room by glass French doors, with a private full bath. (This room could also be converted into an exercise room or a 5th bedroom.)

The stylish kitchen is surrounded by natural hickory cabinets, with GE Monogram stainless steel appliances. Five-burner gas stove, convection oven and warming drawer, microwave and dishwasher are all top of the line. A double sink facing the water even makes washing dishes fun! The dining room has matching cabinets and modern lighting.

There are 2 BR's on the 1st Floor, plus an office that can be made into a bedroom. The 1st floor bedrooms share a brand-new luxury bathroom with a sunken jet tub and separate shower (ideal for older guests or anyone that has a hard time gettin in/out of tub).

First Floor BR #1 has a king sized bed and a futon, and also houses the washer and dryer, hidden behind a set of louvered doors.

First Bedroom #2 has a queen sized bed and a window that peaks out to the water.

Again, the separate office could made into BR #5 (with with it's own full bathroom).

This home is a waterfront paradise 10 months out of the year… and the other two aren’t so bad either!

We have put lots of love and care into our home, and want to make sure we have folks in our house that will treat it as their own. Please tell us a little about your group when inquiring.

I wanted to tell you that my family has found your home to be very comfortable and accomodating for our needs. Every one is thrilled, thank you!

Mom actually did sit on the porch today to catch a few "rays," it was awesome to see her relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Thank you for every thing, including letting us move in here today. Please pass our appreciation on to your wife as well.

Perfect Spot for my Dad's 90th Party and stay

  • 5 of 5

We celebrated my Dad's 90th birthday party here.

What an incredible property! We had 10 of us, and had a fantastic 4 days. My dad turned 90, and we celebrated with extended friends and family on Saturday. The home was perfect. Spotless, and had everything we needed. We love to cook and the kitchen was perfectly equipped.

The owners were great, allowing us to drop our stuff off early while the cleaning crew was still setting up for us.

When we ran out of propane, the owners had a new tank there in 30 minutes! They gave us great suggestions/recommdations for restaurants. Our favorite was Arundel Seafood. We brought Oysters and other seafood in, and had a feast in the giant kitchen and greenroom.

The home was perfect for my dad. He stayed in one of the downstairs bedrooms. Everything was easily accessible, including his downstairs bathroom that had a walk in shower plus a large jacuzzi tub. Plenty of room for my nephews to watch TV on the big screen while the rest of us sat on the deck (yes it was cold, but still fun!).

Their handy man Dave even met us at the Nabbs Creek yacht marina for wings. We hope to come back. Thanks for helping us make Dad's time here so special!

Disappointing stay due to many issues/problems.

  • 1 of 5

Our stay was very disappointing for many reasons and would not recommend staying there until owner resolves all these issues.

Our first evening and morning was spent cleaning. Flooring was dirty and showers had mold and mildew. We found nothing but dirt, dog hair and nasty stuff under the furniture. One chair had a dog bone and a dolls baby bottle under it with lots of dirt. There was stuff growing on both. The showers had to be scrubbed with cleaner and bleach with a brush. Some of the mildew came off while some were stained in tile. There was hardly any toilet paper. Needless to say the first thing we had to do was go to the store for cleaning products and TP. Blankets were dirty and had to be washed. Washer was not working properly and had to be replaced. Down stairs whirlpool did not work and was not fixed. Upstairs one was not used because it had stuff floating in it when it was started. Dishwasher had be screwed in place so racks would not fall out. Tried to cook out one evening on the grill. Had to use other lighting because 75% of the lights on the back deck were burnt out. Also made it dangerous going up and down the deck steps. There were also several burnt out lights inside. There were a few power outlets that did not work as well. The transition between rooms down stairs were dangerous because of the way the flooring was done. Tripping and stubbed toes were common in the dark. One dining room chair was wobbly and an other had a screw sticking out of the leg bottom. We put cardboard over it. When cooking on the stove top, we could not use one of the front burner because the igniter continued to spark.

My family tried to spend as much time out of the house because when we were there, allergies were acting up. We know the house was the problem because everyone was suffering from the same issues. Especially bad in the morning after waking up. After being gone and outside after an hour or two, everyone was fine.

I highly recommend a deep cleaning of this house and fixing all the items we reflected prior to renting again.

Owner's Response: Every once and a while you get interesting guests. This was one of those times. I’ll start with what they got right. 2 lights were burnt out – out back. Sometimes lights burn out. One of the 6 lights over the dining room table was out. If they had let us know, we would have come over to replace them. Or they could have replaced them with the lights in the pantry. From their arrival they were texting and saying they were not happy with the home. They are claiming things that are just not accurate. We offered to have our professional cleaning crew go back over again, and they declined our offer. We offered several times to “fix” their challenges, but they declined. When the washing machine stopped working, we sent a crew over immediately, and when it couldn’t be fixed, we personally drove from Sears to Home Depot to find a place with a washing machine in stock. And we got them a brand new washer by the next morning we did not receive a thank you or a kind word from the tenant. Addressing the cleanliness of the home… I will just say this. The woman who I spoke to on the phone said to me several times. “We are in the medical field so we are “germaphobes.” I told her we have had the same cleaning crew for years, and have never had a problem. I asked if we could send the cleaner back over if they missed something. I was told no, and that they are germaphobes, and not to worry. We also paid for two of the maintenance people to go over to the house several times. We bent over backwards for this guest. They didn’t accept any help. I apologize that some lights were out and that we had a wobbly chair. But many of your comments are irresponsible and do not paint a fair picture of our beautiful home. I would NOT recommend renting to this family.

So perfect for a warm family get together

  • 5 of 5

Originally we were going to rent a house in Fells Point, so that we could have the city experience and walk to dinner, etc. But then I stumbled upon this little gem, and said "why not try something different?" My mother was turning 80, and my sisters and our families wanted to stay somewhere that would create a close, family experience. This was it! The views of the water makes you feel like you're on vacation, while the big comfy kitchen and living area makes you feel like you're at home. There was plenty of room for everyone, and the bathroom upstairs was a sweet surprise. A nice restaurant is down the street, and stores to shop in very close by.

We had a great time as a family, a weekend to never forget!

My only wish is that when I come back (and I will, I loved this house that much) is that the house has a chimanaya or wood burning stove on the porch, which will be a great addition to the ambiance. Hint hint!

The view is beautiful. We had a great time. It would have been wonderful to have a firepit for fall evening fires and smores. One problem was that the vertical blinds on the sliders didn't close so we were awakened by beautiful sunrises even when we wanted to sleep in! The only other issue was the large bathroom on the first floor was a bit moldy and we had to scrub before using.
