South Side vacation rentals

My husband and I spent a week in this beautiful home and daughter and her two kids joined us for a few days. Owner was very responsive in sending internet code as I had misplaced the email. House is remodeled, very clean and layout is great for a family or could work for two couples. We liked the location too. Walkable to beach or town. Hope to stay here again!

We stayed here for 3 nights after traveling through Wisconsin and Michigan for a week. It was the perfect house just to relax and refresh. The house was a perfect location for walking to the beach and to downtown South Haven. You can tell the owner takes pride in this house. It is decorated well and was very clean. The house had everything we might need for our stay. Communication was good and the check in process was smooth. I would highly recommend this house for anyone looking for a nice get away.

First, I want to compliment the host (John) who was very nice and great with communication before and during the whole trip. Second- the location was fantastic. It was the last house on a dead end right be the lake. I loved sitting on the covered porch swing and watching the boats. We could walk downtown (a couple blocks) or walk down to the Riverfront walk. Watching the beautiful sunset was a bonus. We ate dinner and shopped or just walked around South Haven. That town is hopping. We had to wait to get in restaurants. We also took a short drive to Saugantuck which was a beautiful artsy/charming town. We walked along the waterway, as well as ate there. Not sure why I waited so long to visit that area. It quickly become a favorite. Enjoy your trip if you go! Linda

The property is perfect for our family weekend. It is within walking distance to town and only a couple of blocks from the beach. The 4 seasons room is a perfect place to gather with family for dinner or board games. We had a great time and will be back again.

Love this place:). I’ve been coming back to here for 8 years. There’s no other place I’d rather go. Location is perfect. House is clean and is decorated like how a beach house should be!

My friends and I no longer live in the same place, so we wanted to pick a place to come together for a couple of days and catch up and enjoy each other's company. This place did not disappoint. It is beautifully decorated and very welcoming and had everything you needed. The photos are accurate as well as the description. We walked up the street to the beach and lighthouse, walked into town for dinners and shopping. It's a lovely neighborhood, quiet, felt very safe. All the people we encountered were very friendly. The hosts went above and beyond with all that is supplied in the house (considering it is a vacation property) including blankets to sit out on the porch with on cool evenings, little things like bandaids that you don't need until you need them. The hosts were easy to deal with and quick to respond to any questions I had. The fall is a lovely time to come to South Haven and enjoy the fall colors and quieter crowds. Will definitely be returning in the future.

After years of trying and not quite succeeding at finding the perfect place in the perfect town on the perfect Great Lake for a family vacation, we pulled it off this year. Carrie's place is everything that the pictures and description and other reviews all say it is - in a word, great. It took about two days for my wife to stop talking about how clean it was and for us to get to know the nooks and crannies of South Haven, but once that was over - wow! Just the perfect spot to spend a week. The house is an easy walk to the beach and to the main business district, and it was the perfect base for our daily round (walk up to town for coffee and donuts; walk to the beach in the afternoon; walk up to town again for ice cream in the evening). We hope to return again and again to this clean, bright, white gem of a space.

This was our third year staying in the property. We love it! The house is clean, well stocked and nicely maintained. It's great because it's convenient to the playground, beach and town. We'll be back next year!
