Shoestring Bay House sits right on beautiful Popponesset Bay (salt water, with access to Vineyard Sound), offering a perfect blend of comfort, fun, and flexibility. Whether you're planning a family vacation, a multi-generational gathering, or two families traveling together, this home has the space and amenities to make everyone feel right at home.

The House
This fully air-conditioned home (Mitsubishi 6-unit mini-split system — individually controlled in each room for your comfort) is located in a quiet, family-friendly neighborhood that’s ideal for biking, evening strolls, and total relaxation.

With four bedrooms, four full baths, and a poolside bath house with shower and urinal, there’s plenty of space for everyone. Two full kitchens (including a summer kitchen at pool level) give you options for cooking up a Cape feast. There are two separate living rooms, a cozy sunroom, a dining room that seats eight, and a semi-private alcove with two gel-mattress daybeds—perfect for extra guests.

Step directly from the main kitchen onto the upper deck where you'll find a Weber grill, a lobster and corn cooker, and a gorgeous view of Shoestring Bay and our un-heated pool.

Beach Time
Shoestring Bay House comes with a Barnstable Beach Pass, giving you access to all town beaches. Just across the Cotuit peninsula are three beautiful beaches — Loop Beach is the favorite, with gentle water, a bathhouse, lifeguards, and even the ice cream truck stops by!

For quick dips of your feet, enjoy our private wading beach right in front of the house — just a few stairs down (see photo for reference).

Not Included: Bath and bed linens (please bring your own or you can rent from our local vendor)

Safety & Disclosures
Ring cameras are installed at the front and garage doors, dog play area, inside the garage, pool pump house, and under the home near the water main (as disclosed in the rental agreement).
Note: The garage and pool pump house are not part of the rental and access is granted as a courtesy.
Inside the home: Google speakers (audio only, no cameras) can be muted or unplugged.
Ring alarm & smoke detection system in place for your safety.
