OLD ROSE COTTAGE is a 4 star AA rated grade II listed red brick holiday cottage located in the picturesque village of Turville (home to the TV serie The Vicar of Dibley) in the in the Hambleden Valley, in the heart of Chiltern Hills. Designated as an "Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty" the Hambleden Valley has some of the most spectacular and characteristic Chiltern scenery: high ridges, beech woods, sweeping dry chalk valleys yet it is only 20 miles from Oxford and 25 miles from Heathrow.
This unspoilt, beautiful location offers a wide range of attractions to suit the whole family: from the finest walking and cycling paths in the Chilterns to boat trips and picnics along the nearby river Thames, visits to grand stately homes and shopping in the pretty riverside market towns of Marlow and Henley.
Old Rose Cottage dates back to the 16th century and it has been sympathetically renovated to provide all comforts while preserving its character. It's open all year and provides self-catering accommodation for up to 4 people in two bedrooms (a double and a twin). We hold a 4-star rating with Visit England and we are assessed every year. The cottage is arranged over two floors, both bedrooms are upstairs and downstairs there is a lovely sitting room, a spacious kitchen/diner and a bathroom.
The two double bedrooms and stairway have original oak beams, the oak cottage style kitchen/dining room is spacious and fully equipped and the sitting room has a magnificent inglenook fireplace with log burner for cosy winter evenings in.
