This property was in a great location but was let down by mould in the bathroom on the tiles mould spores also outside on the terrace needs brushing up and kettle needed descaling needs dome TLC if i owned it i would sort it out would like a bit of a refund

So I holiday in Whitstable quite a lot , as have family here and stay in a lot of accommodation.This flat was in a good location for the beach and town and had a parking space which is essential if you're staying in Whitstable with a car. The property was let down by the cleanliness. The windows at the back were filthy and could barely see out of them. The dining chairs had sweets all on them and crumbs. The microwave had not been cleaned. There was old food in the fridge when we got there. The bin in the kitchen was dirty and no black bin bag inside. So we then had to pop out to get some. It wouldn't take much to make this an excellent property. Just a good cleaner and some tlc on the back decking.

Not suitable for the elderly

Very nice. Everything you would need but this property is not suitable for the elderly. Steep steps to property and the shower in the bath not easily accessible as nothing to hold on to. Also the mattresses on the bunk bed need to be replaced as not comfortable at all.

Not good

Whitstable is lovely and we have stayed there many times. Unfortunately the property was not as expected. I was reluctant about staying in the property as previous reviews had commented on the cleanliness and there hadn’t been many new reviews for a while. I contacted the owner in advance who reassured us that the property had been freshly decorated that year. However the cleanliness WAS terrible. For example 1. The plates and cutlery was dirty, I don’t mean just a spot on them I mean put in the drawers without being cleaned at all. 2. Empty drinks cans had been left on the balcony. 3. The dining chairs had crumbs down the edges sofa as did the sides of the sofas 4. There were crumbs on the beds and they didn’t smell fresh at all. 5. The garden is unusable 6. There was hairs on the bathroom floor 7. There was a bin type smell I contacted the owner to address our concerns who got back to me to say that they would send a cleaner round the next day. I declined as we had unpacked and i had made the place bearable. We left the property a day early as we were unable to relax . It’s a real shame that the property is advertised incorrectly. I explained to the owner that the stay wasn’t acceptable,he responded to say he needed proof. I think that the only proof that is required is for the owner to go and see the property for himself and provide compensation

Gute Lage, miserable Ausstattung

Whitstable ist eine Reise wert, das Haus in dem jetzigen Zustand nicht. Es fehlt an Allem. Besteck knapp oder nicht vorhanden, Töpfe und Pfannen in schlechtem Zusand und zu wenig, Teller jeder Art zu wenig ( die Spülmaschine blieb deshalb ungenutzt, kein Sonnenschirm, ungepflegter Garten, Staubsauger kapuut, kein Besen, kein Aufnehmer, kein Sieb, kein Durchschlag, kein Schneidbrett usw. Auch gab es nur einen Schlüssel, was bei drei Erwachsenen problematisch ist. Positiv der Parkplatz am Haus und die Nähe zu Strand und Stadt.

Recht schön, aber ungepflegt und schlecht ausgestattet

Wir hatten einen schönen Aufenthalt in Whitstable. Das Örtchen ist eine Reise wert und wir werden sicher wiederkommen. Die Lage der Ferienwohnung ist in Ordnung - es gibt schönere Lagen in Whitstable, aber das Meer, der Hafen und der Ortskern sind nah. Die Wohnung selbst ist sehr klein, wurde aber ursprünglich gemütlich eingerichtet. Es gibt einen kleinen Garten und eine Terasse. Der Zustand der Ferienwohnung allerdings war mehr als enttäuschend, da absolut ungepflegt! Das Bad war sauber, die Betten waren frisch bezogen - aber damit hat es sich bereits. Die Küche war dreckig - Fronten verschmutzt, Armaturen völlig verkalkt und die Aluverkleidung (statt Fliesenspiegel) völlig ruiniert. Wir mussten darüberputzen, bevor wir die Küche nutzen konnten. Den Backofen haben wir nicht benutzt, weil wer weiß wie alte Krümel und Fett darin waren. Das WEISSE Sofa ist grau-beige an den Lehnen und auf der Sitzfläche hat es Flecken und ein Loch. Darüber ist eine ursprünglich weiße Decke gelegt, die auch mal gewaschen werden könnte. Wir haben eine Decke, die wir als Spieldecke für das Baby eingeplant haben, darüberlegen müssen, um es auszuhalten. Kissenhüllen, Teppiche und Kindersitzsäckewaren völlig verschmutzt und gehören dringend gewaschen. Die Ausstattung ist eher schwach - es gibt exakt 4 große Teller, 3 kleine und Besteck für 6. Das hieß für uns mit zwei Kindern, dass nach jeder eingenommenen Mahlzeit die Spülmaschine laufen musste. Der Garten könnte etwas Liebe gebrauchen, es gibt nur Rasenfläche und selbst die ist ungepflegt. Es gibt keine Kaffeemaschine, der Toaster schießt die Sicherung raus, es gab keine Trockentücher oder Verbrauchspapiere, keine Putzmittel, um Ordnung zu machen. Ich bin daher etwas irritiert über die laut Bewertungen gute Ausstattung. Dafür hätte ich das alles und z.B. einen Kontinental-Adapter, eine Waschmaschine oder wenigstens einen Wäscheständer - so kann man seine Schwimmwäsche etwa (die Wohnung liegt schließlich am Meer) nur draußen trocknen, was bei Regen schwerlich geht - erwartet. Auch ein Sandkasten, ein kleiner Grill oder eine Sonnenliege im Garten würden den Eindruck direkt verbessern. Das W-LAN ist schlecht. FAZIT: es sind die kleinen Dinge, die fehlen. Man könnte ohne viel zu investieren, einen deutlich besseren Eindruck hinterlassen! Die Wohnung gehört dringend ordentlich gereinigt - dann wäre sie wieder empfehlenswert. So ist sie für Lage, Größe, Ausstattung und Zustand natürlich deutlich zu teuer.

Schlechter Start

Die Wohnung war in Ordnung. Da ich nicht bzw. sehr schwierig per mail in England erreichbar war, ist der Kontakt sehr schlecht gewesen. Ich suchte und telefonierte mit meinem Mann, dem Verwieter, den ich nicht erreichte und letzlich mit Ihnen. Nach fünf Stunden konnte ich in die Wohnung rein. Aber nur über die e-mail-adr. meineses Sohnes vor Ort. Ein Gast der keine solche Verbinungsmöglichkeiten gehabt hat, wäre nie in die Wohnung gekommen. Der Vermittler hätte nur einen Tag vor meinem Abflug mir die Daten zukommen lassen müssen, dann wäre es perfekt gelaufen und Sie hätten auch keine Arbeit gehabt. Es fehlten aber ein Küchenhandtuch und wenigstens ein Toilettenklorolle wäre angebracht. Sonst war alles ok. Mit freundlichen Grüßen Gremmer

Sehr schöne Städtchen und Strände, super Wohnung

Gemütlich Wohnung mit alles was man braucht! Sauber und ordentlich, gute Ausstattung (könnte ein bißchen mehr Teller und Gläser haben) und netter Verwalter. Die Wohnung liegt super, nah am Zentrum, Hafen und Strand. Confortável apartamento com tudo o que se precisa! Limpo e bem arrumado (poderia ter mais um pouco de pratos e copos) e um gentil administrador. O apartamento tem ótima localização, próximo do centro, do porto e da praia.

Angenehme Unterkunft

Die Beschreibung im Inserat ist realistisch und alles war ordentlich. Der Kontakt mit der Vermieterin war angenehm und unkompliziert. Der Hafen, der Kiesstrand und das Zentrum (Geschäfte, Restaurants) von Whitstable sind zu Fuss zu erreichen. Mit dem Auto sind die interessanten Sehenswürdigkeiten wie Canterbury, Dover usw. und auch verschiedene Sandstrände in kurzer Zeit (weniger als 1 Std. Fahrzeit) erreichbar. Es gibt eine Bahnverbindung nach London, der Bahnhof Whitstable ist zu Fuss erreichbar.

Lovely little place by the sea

We had a really nice stay in this clean, modern and convenient pad. Nice to have a terrace and small garden. You can fit two small cars onto the driveway and it is kitted out with everything you need for your stay. We were happy to find that the bunk beds were very comfortable for adults. Loads of really nice places to eat in Whitstable and it is an quick drive (or regular buses) into Canterbury.

Prima Wohnung für einen erfolgreichen Aufenthalt in Kent

Wir haben die Wohnung mit zwei Erwachsenen und zwei Kindern im Alter von sechs und zehn Jahren für zwei Wochen gebucht. Die Wohnung ist mit seinen zwei Schlafzimmern, dem ausreichend großen Badezimmer sowie einer Wohn-/Küchen- Kombination im 1. OG sowie einem kleinen Abstellraum im EG etwas kleiner aber ausreichend. Wir haben die Wohnung in einem sehr ordentlichen Zustand vorgefunden und waren insgesamt sehr begeistert. Ein schöner Außensitzplatz auf der Hochterasse und ein kleiner Garten runden das Ambiente des kleinen modernen Mittelreihenhauses inmitten einer typischen englischen Wohnsiedlung ab. Die Ausstattung der Wohnung ist überwiegend von Ikea und liebevoll und farblich abgestimmt zusammengestellt. Mit ca. fünf Minuten Fußweg zum Hafen, zum Strand, zur Bushaltestelle nach Canterbury und ca. 10 Minuten zum Bahnhof mit einer Direktverbindung nach London wurden alle unsere Wünsche erfüllt. Kleiner Supermärkte sind im Zentrum in ca. 15 Minuten zu Fuß ebenso gut erreichbar wie die größeren (Sainsbury's, Tesco) mit dem Auto in fünf bis zehn Minuten. Der Strand ist ein Kiesstrand (Badeschuhe sind zu empfehlen). Der Starnd war selbst im Hochsommer nicht überlaufen und man konnte gut ruhige Strandabschnitte finden.Tolle Sandstrände befinden sich u. a. im Bereich von Margate (ca. 30 Minuten mit dem Auto). Leeds Castle (ca. 45 Minuten) - mit ca. 80 Pfund für alle vier etwas teurer - und Dover Castle (ca. 40 Minuten, ca. 50 Pfund) sind mit dem Auto gut erreichbar. Es ist empfehlenswert für die Besuche jeweils einen kompletten Tag einzuplanen, weil es in beiden viel zu entdecken gibt. Einige ruhigere Gärten sind mit dem Auto ebenso gut erreichbar wie Canterbury (dort sind wir allerdings mit dem Bus hingefahren (Tageskarte ca. 12 Pfund/Familie). London ist in ca 1,5 Stunden mit dem Zug erreichbar. Rye mit Chamber Sands waren auch schöne und erreichbare Ziele. Ebenso gut erreichbar waren diverse Zoo's und Tierparks. Insgesamt ein fantastischer Urlaub in einer sehr schönen Gegend mit einer sehr gemütlichen Wohnung, in der wir WLAN hatten, so dass die Kinder trotz des Fernsehers mit ausschließlich englischen Programmen für den Notfall Unterhaltung fanden. Spielplätze sind im Übrigen auch fußläufig gut erreichbar (u.a. Whitstable Castle) und häufig besser als der deutsche Standard. Zum Abschluss unseres Urlaubs durften wir noch das Whitstable Oyster Festival (immer Ende Juli) erleben.

Perfect Holiday Apartment

Fantastic apartment with a covered parking space right in front of the door. Five minute easy walk to Whitstable Harbour and Town. Great outside decked area with a table and chairs, overlooking a grassed garden, which I'm sure would be very welcome in the warmer months. Clean, bright and uncluttered, but containing everything you might need. Lovely comfortable double bed that I didn't want to get out of and the bunk beds looked great too, though we didn't sleep in them. Kitchen and bathroom, both clean and well equipped. One of the positive points for me, was that there was tea, coffee, milk, toilet roll, washing up liquid, cloths etc on arrival. I've been to many places where none of this is present, and it's very annoying to arrive and have to go out immediately for these items. All in all, a lovely apartment, to which I'm sure I will return next time I visit wonderful Whitstable.

Great.place!

Stayed here with the family in August 15. The apartment was scrupulously clean and well decorated. Lovely touches included fresh milk, tea and biscuits being provided which we didn't expect. Good location being within walking distance of the town, harbour and beach. Parking space included too which was a lifesaver, as anyone who has visited Whitstable in the summer will know! Only downsides were the lack of adequate blinds in either bedroom, which meant that we all woke at around 4.30am both days. Also the duvets provided were winter tog which were unsuitable for the time of year. All that was needed was a flat sheet on all the beds or some in the wardrobe. Sadly these things alone would mean I wouldn't stay again which is a shame.

Tolle Unterkunft - toller Urlaub!!!

Wir haben einen tollen Urlaub in dem Reihenmittelhaus verbracht. Es ist recht klein, aber es fehlt an nichts. Auch die Lage war wunderbar! Absolut empfehlenswert ist der Strandabschnitt bei Tankerton! Viele nette Restaurants, Spielparadies in Whitstable für Kinder, Outlet in Ashford in der Nähe, ... Sehr freundlicher Kontakt - THANKS!

Toller Urlaub - tolles Haus

Wir haben einen wunderbaren Urlaub in der Ferienwohnung verbracht (Reihenmittelhaus). An der Ausstattung und an der Lage gab es nichts auszusetzen! Der Kontakt war sehr freundlich und wir können uns über nichts beschweren - THANKS! Lohnenswert ist ein Besuch des Strandabschnitts bei Tankerton - wundervoll! Auch haben sich unsere Kinder nicht beschweren können, gab es doch in Whitstable ein kleines Kinderspielparadies.

Britain at its best !

Sehr moderne, gemütliche, gepflegte, sehr gut ausgestattete Ferienwohnung in ruhiger Lage in reinem Wohngebiet. Überdachter Carport, schöne Hochterasse mit Treppe in kleinen Garten. Geräumige Wohnküche mit Spülmaschine Gefrierschrank und großem Fernseher. Komfortable Betten und Teppichboden in den Schlafzimmern. Im Kinderschlafzimmer Etagenbetten. Alles sehr liebevoll gestaltet. 5 Minuten zu Fuß bis zum Hafen mit Restaurants, Pubs und Austerverkäufern. Ebenso 5 Minuten bis zum Kiesstrand. Whitstable ist ein gemütliches kleine Fischerörtchen mit netter Atmosphäre. Wer gerne Fisch ist und segeln will kommt noch mal mehr auf seine Kosten. Nach London mit dem Auto gut eine Stunde, nach Canterbury 20 Min. Wir haben hier einen wunderbaren Urlaub verbracht. Einen besseren Ort für einen Englandurlaub kann ich mir kaum vorstellen. Sehr nette Vermieter !

A very attractive place to go.

A truely surprising, super clean, brandnew, well equipped, nicely located, pretty affordable full house appartment. The posted pictures do not quite tell the top details: - (full roofed car parking space right in front of the door, - a full small garden featuring a roofed littel terrace, - a little household space corner under the stairs, - a fully carpeted comfortable stairway up to the living space, - a neat story bed kids room with cupboards and 2 smal sitbags, - an ok sized parents sleeping room, - a comparibly spacious bath featuring a tub, - a wide kitchen built in with dishwasher, freeze and fridge (maybe too little space for goods), - a 4 rather compact seat dining table, - a 2 seater sofa with a tiny table. Last of all a very tasty styling of the rooms with love to details (pictures, decorations, pastel yellow meets clean white walls). This location is a 4.5 star to me. The missing 0.5 stars are related to a rather calm conversation with the booking agent. All given information kept us in some "dark" about this beautifull setting and therefore could have been avoided easily via a more transparent and open communication. Whitstable as a place to travel ist a nice fisher villlage with surprisingly many and cosy shops, pubs, cafes, food locations. Beautifull sun downers at the Neptun´s bar, super fresh Oysters at the harbour right out of the boats. Tasty shrimps - reasonable prices to come with that. Only 1 hour east of London and located on the Oyster coast line it features very attractive bicycle rides: - 8 mls Canterbury (Cathedral - through the woods on a well marked trail) - 15 mls Margate (via Reculver, Herne Bay - straight along the seafront) - 25 mls to Ramsgate / Sandwich to get even more of the neighbourhood Hopping south to Dover ´s ferries / white cliffs takes just an hour. "Blue Skies" is the place to get sunshine to your holiday minds - even during a misty week. A place to go for sure.

Blue skies is in an ideal location of Whitstable, as it is only a 5 min walk to Whitstable Harbour and the beach. You have your own parking space, where you can leave your car for the duration of your holiday.

What makes this property unique

This very modern apartment has a lovely balcony that leads to the garden. Its all about location location in Whitstable and this is a perfect place to stay as it is in walking distance of all amenities in Whitstable. It has also just had Wi FI installed.
