This leads to the sunny south-facing balcony where you can relax with a glass of wine and some fine Swiss cheeses while you unwind after a day of hiking or skiing and soak in the wonderful mountain and valley views.

What you should know...



Although Wengen is a "car-free" mountain village, arriving by car is no problem. There is a large multi-storey car park at Lauterbrunnen train station, with trolleys for your luggage and lifts to the station platforms. It is just a 14-minute scenic cog train ride up to Wengen. The trains depart every 30 minutes until 9.30 pm and then hourly. Taxis are available for hire at Wengen train station if required.
