Great location- but the house needs some TLC
This home is located in a perfect location in a quiet and private spot, but only 5 minutes walk from the town of Salernes. It’s a small town, but has so much going on: great bakery and restos, 3 weekly markets (weekend, week day and night) and tons of other activities. Be sure to check out the swimming reservoir! Additionally there are many great things to see and do in the area around Salernes. The house is really in a perfect location.
Catherine the owner of the home is very accessible and quick to respond to messages, however the individuals who manage the property locally are not so on the ball. The lady who was to meet us with the key was over 45 minutes late and completely unapologetic, the person who takes care of the pool didn’t show up as scheduled and only came by after we advised Catherine of the poor state to the pool.
The house itself is large and spacious, but desperately in need of some TLC. A deep clean and a fresh coat of paint would go along way to addressing some of the cleanliness issues with the house.
Also, there is an extra charge at this property for linens. We were charged €150 for linens. When we arrived we were missing sheets in many of the bedrooms and none of the beds were actually made. Additionally the quality of the linens and towels were certainly not up to the luxury/premium price that we were charged. They were mostly ready to be replaced.
